As a member of the Global Sales and Services business unit, our HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) Field Process Engineering team is the on-site process application expert in improving process run on our tool sets at our customer locations. In this role, the Field Process Engineer drives the process improvement projects, is responsible for tracing tool performance and ensuring the ASM products meet our customer requirements. The Field Process Engineer is a technical bridge between the customer process teams, the customers hardware teams and the customer account team.

• Lead and implement ASM process protocols, frequently reviewing and enhancing field service solutions.
• Manage Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) and ensure clear communication across teams and with external partners.
• Define project scopes, generate detailed reports, and track progress against timelines.
• Collaborate with global teams—including technicians, engineers, procurement, manufacturing, and management—to address project-specific requirements.
• Deliver reliable, high-quality solutions and develop new Best-Known Methods (BKMs) for field and customer use.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (10–20%).
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety in all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 year hardware and process engineering experience within the semiconductor industry; strong understanding of semiconductor fab operations required; ASM specific experience desired
• Proficient in reviewing 3D CAD models and interpreting/redlining engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated ability in cross-functional communication, data analysis, and presentation; strong interpersonal skills for working with suppliers, internal teams, and customers
• Experience in executing Failure Analysis (FA), including planning, real-time reporting, and timely closure of corrective actions.
• Previous experience in Supplier Quality Control is a plus     
• Solid understanding of materials, including metals, plastics, coatings, and finishes.
• Knowledge of deposition technologies (CVD, ALD, EPI, PVD) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Creo, and AutoCAD; experience with FEA and CFD analysis is preferred.
• Strong understanding of ANSI Y14.5 standards for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
