As a Senior Equipment Technician on the EPI team, you play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of ASM epitaxy systems that directly impact device quality and yield. Supporting two ASM EPI toolsets, you combine strong equipment expertise with process awareness to troubleshoot complex issues, lead technical escalations, and prevent recurrence. Your work enables advanced semiconductor innovation while strengthening safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across the factory.

What you will be working on

• Support and maintain two ASM EPI toolsets, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, software, vacuum, thermal, and gas delivery subsystems
• Clearly document, present, and explain technical issues during tool escalations to enable effective resolution
• Apply basic process method knowledge to enhance root‑cause analysis and correlate hardware behavior with process results
• Resolve recurring alarms using standard fault trees; appropriately escalate unfamiliar or complex faults
• Lead structured root‑cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, and related methodologies
• Identify trends and recurring issues; implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce repeat events
• Advise on complex retrofit kits, coordinating service activities with the production plan to minimize impact
• Strictly follow safety procedures; help define work instructions and reinforce safe behaviors across the team
• Ensure compliance and support internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate service records, escalation documentation, and maintenance logs
• Mentor junior technicians, particularly in disciplined troubleshooting and structured problem solving
• Coordinate closely with escalation resources, engineering, process, and cross‑functional partners

What we are looking for

• Technical school (2‑year program), or BS with 0–1 years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant equipment experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Experience diagnosing vacuum, thermal, and gas delivery systems
• Ability to clearly document and communicate technical issues during escalations
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and procedural discipline

Our Epitaxy (EPI) teams are seeking innovative and motivated recent graduates to join their teams as Mechanical Engineers. As a Mechanical Engineer on the EPI team, you will contribute to new product development as well as sustainment and engineering design projects. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving challenging problems, is thorough and detail‑oriented, and can use experimentation and model‑based analysis to identify root causes. Should be able to collaborate effectively with cross‑disciplinary teams to solve complex engineering problems and drive new technological advancements.

Note: This role is intended for candidates who are graduating in Spring 2026 or have graduated within the past two years and have 0–2 years of professional work experience.

What you will be working on

• Apply solid engineering principles, product specifications, and research data to design systems and products for the semiconductor industry.
• Perform engineering calculations, including structural, thermal, and fluid‑dynamics analyses.
• Create and update CAD models and detailed drawings in Creo Parametric, from simple parts to large assemblies.
• Determine design feasibility, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop solutions that meet safety and “first‑time‑right” design requirements using statistical methods.

What we are looking for

• Masters in mechanical engineering or related degree, PhD strongly preferred.
• Cleanroom experience of deposition technologies (CVD, ALD, EPI, PVD), hand-on assembly and testing experiences are strongly preferred

• Experience in course work and projects related to design and development of complex mechanical systems including reactors, vacuum chambers, gas delivery systems, pneumatics, water cooling circuits, and vacuum systems required. 
• Understanding of materials: metals, plastics, surface coatings and surface finishes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present design concepts to peers and management in a professional and effective manner. 
• Able to work with a diverse team to achieve requirements and specifications on complex projects. 
• Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while maintaining a team player attitude.
