Overview

As the Staff Software Engineer for Scout Motor’s digital products, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled software engineers and driving the development of digital solutions for our customers and business partners. Some of the key products as part of digital portfolio are – order management, customer management, marketing, production, inventory and planning optimization, loyalty, merchandise, servicing and repairs, mobile app, vehicle connectivity, and more. You will work with engineering managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to design the technical underpinnings of the product. At the same time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to be hands-on building key systems and will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of complex and large-scale technical efforts as well acting as a technical mentor and leader for other engineers.

• Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to iteratively evolve and scale, and taming complexity and shoring up reliability of existing systems
• Champion software engineering and operational excellence, establishing and improving metrics and processes. Set a high bar for engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Assist in calibrating and developing the software engineering team.
• Recruit and manage a team of software engineers, setting the bar for quality software development.

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Fremont, California.
• This role requires 2 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. 
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

About the Team:

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer I/II to join our Data Ingestion Team, which builds and operates the critical infrastructure that serves as the “front door” of StackAdapt’s event flow. In this role, you’ll own technical direction for critical parts of our ingestion platform, lead large-scale initiatives, and shape how data flows across the company.

The Data Ingestion team tackles complex distributed systems challenges at massive scale, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. As a Sr Software Engineer on the Applications Engineer team, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to deliver real-world applications and value from the leap forward in computing enabled by quantum technology.

But first, we must mature existing proof-of-concept quantum code into production grade applications. As a hands-on team lead for a new engineering team, you will work on enhancing developer experience (DevEx) by applying best practices to research-grade code. You will also set up CI / CD pipelines, software packing tools, and pre/post flight tests for new algorithms as they go into deployment. Where possible you will also be in charge of optimizing and parallelizing traditional algorithms, to reduce pre-processing and post-processing workloads. You will spearhead a new team taking newly invented quantum applications, and turning them into well defined modules of reliable SaaS applications. You will lead a software engineering team that builds the entirety of a particular, high-impact product line within Cameras team. The team works in concert with a product manager and a hardware manager to define and conceptualize the current and future product offerings, including hardware and software architecture selection.   

From a technical perspective, the embedded software stack runs on an x86-based platform, necessitating work on: UEFI, bootloader, drivers, custom Linux OS distribution via yocto project, containerization, solid-state and hard disk storage, filesystem and block device mapping. About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of our brokerage systems. Staff Backend Engineer - Application Core Services, Stacks

The Opportunity: 

Application Core Services (AppCore) is a group within Platform, in the Foundations department. Foundations produces the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP) and partners closely with our Cloud, Enterprise, and Grafana teams. Our team develops the essential systems driving Grafana's business operations. We utilize the grafana.com platform to engineer bespoke integrations and solutions that unify the diverse technical ecosystem of a modern software enterprise.

The team owns important domain areas that help keep both our customer workflows and internal business processes running smoothly. AppCore is made up of multiple squads, each focused on one or more of these domains. Our work includes maintaining the billing engine responsible for customer usage calculation, automating provisioning after a customer signs a contract, integrating with cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and building and maintaining the user portal our customers rely on to manage their accounts.

This is a team working at the intersection of product, platform, and business operations. The systems we build are critical to how Grafana scales. What You’ll Be Doing:

The AppCore Stacks squad owns the systems that create, configure, reconcile, migrate, and operate Grafana Cloud stacks at scale. A stack is the customer-facing Grafana Cloud environment that connects an organization to Grafana and the backend services it uses, including Mimir, Loki, Tempo, plugins, dashboards, data sources, and stack-level configuration.

Our work sits at the intersection of product, platform, and operations. We build the control-plane services and workflows that keep stack state aligned across grafana.com, Stack State Service (SSS), Hosted Grafana, cloud regions, and the underlying Grafana Cloud infrastructure. When this domain works well, customers get reliable stack creation, safe configuration rollout, predictable migrations, and fewer manual operational interventions.

• Design, build, and operate reconciliation systems, including the SSS backend, to track desired stack state, detect and repair drift across stack templates, grafana.com state, Hosted Grafana, and actual customer stack configuration
• Collaborate across SSS, grafana.com, and deployment configurations to ensure stack lifecycle workflows remain reliable, observable, and resilient
• Improve operational efficiency by reducing deployment complexity (e.g., aiming for single PR regional SSS deployment) and contributing to the Stack Config Reconciliation project
• Manage rollout mechanisms for provisioned plugins, dashboards, data sources, Grafana versions, release channels, and stack-level configuration
• Support new region and cluster rollouts, including the operational paths required to bring stacks online safely in new Grafana Cloud regions
• Improve incident response and recovery paths for stack misalignment, reconciliation failures, plugin rollout issues, and Hosted Grafana integration failures
• Partner with Product, Hosted Grafana, Infrastructure, Support, and adjacent AppCore squads on customer-impacting stack lifecycle work
• Contribute to roadmap planning, technical design, OnCall improvements, and long-term simplification of stack operations

Compensation & Rewards:

What you’ll do
As a DevSecOps Engineer within MetaMask & Infura you will be joining a world reference technical team with State of the Art expertise in developing & delivering advanced decentralized applications (Ðapps) and supporting development and production infrastructure. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on data infrastructure, platform systems, or distributed architectures.
• Proven experience designing and scaling large-scale data platforms or data-intensive systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang, Python, or Java.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, metadata management, and data modeling principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and data orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Beam, Dataflow, Kafka).
• Demonstrated ability to define and lead complex technical initiatives that span multiple teams or domains.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across engineering, product, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading the design and development of data governance systems at scale, such as data catalog, data lineage, and/or data asset management.

Overview

Instacarts Detection Engineering team sits at the core of our Security organization, building and operating the systems that identify, surface, and respond to threats across one of North America's largest grocery technology platforms. We own the full detection lifecycle — from telemetry collection and signal design to automated response — across a complex, cloud-native environment spanning endpoint, cloud, container, and SaaS.

As a Senior Detection Engineer, you'll be a technical anchor on the team: developing high-fidelity detection logic, hunting for novel attacker techniques, and raising the bar for how we think about coverage, quality, and scale. You'll work closely with Engineering, Red Team, Incident Response, Fraud, and Trust & Safety to ensure our detections reflect real-world adversary behavior — not just signatures.

We operate with a detection-as-code mindset: everything we build is versioned, tested, and deployed through repeatable pipelines. We care deeply about reducing noise, improving analyst efficiency through automation and SOAR, and continuously evolving our coverage as the threat landscape shifts.

About the Job

• Develop, tune, document, and maintain detection logic across multiple log sources including endpoint, cloud, container, and SaaS products.
• Assist in cyber forensic investigations across a variety of log sources
• Optimize log ingestion pipelines and telemetry collection to ensure high-quality, actionable security data while managing volume and cost
• Design and build SOAR playbooks and automation workflows to streamline detection triage, enrichment, and response actions
• Mentor junior security analysts and detection engineers on threat hunting methodologies, detection logic development, and investigation techniques

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a detection engineering, incident response, or offensive security role.
• Experience with 1 or more public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deep understanding of attacker TTPs across modern zero trust environments, including identity compromise, token theft, and abuse of trust boundaries
• Proficient understanding of macOS internals and telemetry available to identify macOS specific threats
• Experience implementing detection-as-code workflows including version control, peer review processes, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Basic proficiency with Python, Golang, or other programming languages
• Relevant certifications: GCFA, GCFE, GNFA, GREM, OSCP, GCIA, or similar

Preferred Qualifications
