Job Summary

Impiricus is moving fast. Our business units (StratOps, Commercial Ops, etc.) are rapidly prototyping highly impactful internal AI tools using the latest vibe coding and agentic engineering techniques. 

We are hiring an Internal AI Solutions Builder to be the bridge between these grassroots innovations and enterprise-grade stability. Reporting to both the central AI hub team as well as the business unit you support, you will act as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE). You will not build foundational models; you will help our commercial team leverage AI to redesign workflows and generate revenue, while supporting business-built prototypes and "graduating" them into secure, scalable, and maintainable internal products.

Responsibilities

• Prototype Incubation & Auditing: Evaluate "vibe-coded" AI tools and automations built by non-technical business units (StratOps, Commercial Ops, etc.) to help boost their commercial ROI, security posture, and architectural viability.
• Production Refactoring (The Paved Road): Take ownership of high-value internal prototypes (e.g., AI SDRs, RFP generators) and refactor them into secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade applications.
• LLM Orchestration & Integration: Build and maintain secure integrations between foundational models (via APIs) and Impiricus's internal systems, specifically our Enterprise Data Lake and CRM (Salesforce).
• Full-Lifecycle Maintenance: Act as the technical owner for all "graduated" internal AI applications, ensuring high uptime, managing prompt drift, and updating API connections as internal schemas change.
• Cross-Functional Product Management: Act as your own PM. Interview business stakeholders to map complex operational bottlenecks, ruthlessly define scope, and manage stakeholder expectations regarding what should be an AI experience versus a standard SQL dashboard.
• Governance Enforcement: Apply Enterprise Data & Analytics standards to all internal tooling, ensuring zero data leakage, strict access controls, and mitigation of hallucination risks in operational outputs.

Requirements

• Applied Engineering Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical architecture, with a clear track record of building and deploying functional applications.
• AI/LLM Proficiency: Demonstrable, hands-on experience building with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and managing context windows, prompt engineering, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures in a production setting.
• Core Tech Stack: Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software development best practices. Strong proficiency in a programming language (Python preferred). Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, and working within modern cloud environments to deploy internal applications.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven experience working directly with non-technical business leaders to translate ambiguous business problems into precise technical requirements. (Experience in a Forward Deployed, Solutions Engineering, or technical consulting role is highly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field—OR equivalent demonstrably successful experience building and shipping complex technical projects. (We value a strong GitHub repository and a history of shipped operational tools over degrees).

Nice-to-Have

• Product Management Experience: Demonstrated ability to act as your own PM: conducting stakeholder interviews, translating messy operational problems into high-impact solutions, and managing expectations with the business. Experience as an entrepreneur or owning a product roadmap is a plus. Strong instincts for knowing what to build, what to skip, and how to build the right thing.

The base salary range for this role is $165,000 - $210,000.

As Lead Software Engineer – AI Quality & Test Automation, you own the strategy and execution of a modern, AI-accelerated test automation program. You build and run the platforms, frameworks, and CI quality gates that keep releases reliable at high velocity — using AI to scale test creation, maintenance, and triage across teams. • 3+ years of experience in software development, mobile development, or application security. You are comfortable reading unfamiliar code and can speak Developer fluently.

Principal Quality Automation Architect

The Principal Quality Automation Architect designs and scales Accordion's automated quality framework across products, services, and AI-enabled workflows. We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to own and evolve test automation for our Sportsbook Emerging Experiences - Social and Advanced Search - across iOS, Android, and Web. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building reliable functional and performance automation that improves release confidence.

You’ll partner closely with engineers, product, and QA to embed quality earlier in the development lifecycle, build repeatable patterns in our Nx monorepo and CI, and raise the bar on what “release ready” means for user-critical journeys.

THE GAME PLAN

Design and implement end-to-end automation for core Social and Search journeys using Cypress (web) and Detox (iOS/Android), aligned to our Nx monorepo structure.

Own and evolve the pillar’s automation foundations: test architecture, folder structure, screen-object patterns, shared utilities, and local-first run toolchains so teams can add coverage quickly and consistently.

Integrate automation into CI (Buildkite and/or GitHub Actions): affected execution, parallelization, clear pass/fail reporting, and quality gates that are actionable, while keeping suites easy to run locally for fast iteration.

Drive stability: track flakiness, improve test determinism, and shorten time-to-signal through improved synchronization, test data control, and failure triage patterns.

Establish a test data and environment strategy: mocks/fixtures for acceptance, prod-like data for E2E, and lightweight API/contract tests (Pact or equivalent) where they add value.

Build performance coverage for critical journeys (feed load, interactions, search latency/rendering) using Detox performance tooling and/or Flashlight + Maestro; define baselines and regression thresholds.

Own load/performance testing for key end-to-end user journeys (from BFF/edge APIs through platform and backend services) using Locust (Python) or equivalent, including realistic traffic modeling (ramp profiles, concurrency, think time), scenario design, assertions on p95/p99 latency, throughput, and error rates, and reporting.

For Advanced Search (including LLM-powered experiences where applicable), define automated evaluation: schema/structure checks, relevance/quality regression vs baselines, and edge-case/safety checks.

Partner with platform and observability teams to improve test visibility (dashboards, logging, artifacts) and ensure automation results are easy to interpret and act on.

Mentor and enable: coach engineers and QA (including team members transitioning from manual to automated testing) on automation authorship, local-first toolchains, and AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Cursor) so squads can confidently build and maintain test coverage.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

7+ years of experience in software test automation / quality engineering, including designing and maintaining automation frameworks at scale.

Hands-on coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python; comfortable reading and contributing to production code.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong focus on full-stack web development
• Expert in TypeScript and React — performance optimization, modern patterns (hooks, context, suspense), component architecture
• Production experience with Next.js — App Router, Server Components, API routes, SSR/SSG, edge deployment
• Hands-on experience with LLMs — prompt engineering, streaming APIs, function calling, tool-use, chaining and orchestration patterns

Compensation: For US-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $112,000 to $143,000 + bonus, equity, and US Benefits. The actual pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
