Software Simulation Engineer

We are looking for a Software Simulation Engineer to design and build the core architecture of our simulation platform. You will be responsible for the infrastructure that validates our intelligent systems before real-world deployment. Role

• Simulation Architecture: Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure, data pipelines, and timing mechanisms for our system-level and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation environments.
• Framework Development: Build robust APIs and interfaces that allow cross-functional teams to easily plug their specific sensor, actuator, and physics models into the broader simulation.

Requirements 

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software simulation, systems architecture, or complex software development.

• Hands-on experience architecting, extending, or maintaining custom software simulators, test harnesses, or large-scale software frameworks.
• Solid understanding of system-level networking and data routing (e.g., Ethernet, UDP/TCP, CAN).

About the role:

About the role:

The Avionics team is a group of hardware, software, and test experts responsible for designing robust systems that control our life-saving drone delivery service in some of the toughest environments on Earth. We’re hiring for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our LiveOps team. We are building a first‑party webshops platform that lets game developers route players to browser‑based stores instead of in‑app purchases; unlocking up to ~20% additional margin versus traditional platform fees. You'll join a small, senior founding pod responsible for shipping the initial GA product and rapidly iterating it with real game studios.

You will own large pieces of both the player‑facing webshop experiences and the multi‑tenant backend services that power them. You'll work closely with a small team in a highly autonomous, AI‑native development environment where using AI tools is expected.

The opportunity

The Ads Infrastructure team at Unity builds and operates the core distributed systems that power one of the largest real time advertising platforms in the world. About the Role:

Planet designs, builds, and launches the largest fleet of Earth-imaging satellites in history — and the Space Systems organization is where that hardware comes to life. From satellite manufacturing and integration to RF engineering, thermal design, power systems, and deployable structures, this team is responsible for the physical infrastructure that makes global daily imaging possible. As we scale production for our next-generation constellations and stand up a second manufacturing hub in Berlin, the hiring demand across Space Systems is the largest and most technically complex in the company.

As a Talent Acquisition Partner embedded in the Space Systems pod, you will own full-cycle recruiting for roles spanning hardware engineering, manufacturing operations, satellite integration and test, and specialized technical disciplines. You will develop deep domain expertise in the talent markets that matter most — learning the difference between an RF systems engineer and an optical designer, understanding why FPGA firmware experience matters for satellite avionics, and knowing which companies and programs produce the candidates our hiring managers need.

This is a pod-based role, meaning your alignment to Space Systems is persistent — not rotational. Impact You’ll Own:

Kodiak is launching driverless operations on public highways by the end of year — and we need the TPM who gets us there.

This is a high-stakes, high-visibility role with one north star: get the truck on the highway, without a driver, safely and on schedule. You'll partner with Systems Engineering, Safety and the Autonomy Teams to drive execution of our Functional Safety (FuSA) and SOTIF programs and the Safety Case that underpins them — keeping every workstream on track on the critical path to driverless highway deployment.

You'll run the cross-functional program cadence, drive how we verify and document software, and push every workstream to move faster without cutting corners. You'll also find smarter ways to execute — including using AI tools wherever they give us an edge.

Launch is the milestone, not the finish line. After we go driverless, the next chapter is expanding our Operational Design Domain — and you'll lead that too.

Role Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of power electronics products. The primary function of this position is to design custom machinery and support the entire project cycle from concept development through installation, commissioning, and handover to the operations team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, Controls, manufacturing, and test engineers, to ensure efficient performance and reliability in high-power density environments.

Responsibilities:

•  Utilize CAD software CAD software (3D EXPERIENCE (3DX), CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Creo etc.) to create detailed mechanical designs.

• Model and design complex electro-mechanical parts, including plastics, sheet metal, insulators, magnetic components, and high-voltage connectors.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Mechanical Engineering, the mechanical engineer is responsible for designing parts and subassemblies of new products that are innovative, cost efficient, reliable, and ship on time. You will troubleshoot and make improvements to existing products, design new products, and work closely with other members of the engineering staff to create and validate solutions to difficult structural, thermal, illumination, and usability problems. You should be comfortable sketching and prototyping new ideas, have a working knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, product development best practices, and design documentation procedures.

• Experience with the development and integration of electro-mechanical components, such as flex circuits, batteries, and antennas
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• A keen sense for risk management and design strategies to avoid painting yourself in a corner
• A proactive and self-starting attitude, able to take initiative and work independently with minimal guidance while contributing effectively to team projects.
• Experience working with Asian manufacturing and supply chains including onsite work
• Experience using thermal simulation as a design tool to iterate and solve complex heating, cooling, or thermal isolation (insulating) challenges
• Have one or more of the following additional skillsets: strong simulation/FEA skills, CFD simulation, heat transfer, Fluidics/Micro-Fluidics experience, strong data analytics skills, root cause analysis

EDUCATION:

• BSME and/or MS in a design-related discipline strongly preferred. In lieu of a degree, a candidate must instead have deep on-the-job mechanical engineering experience, clearly demonstrate strong design problem-solving skills, and have a command of relevant engineering theories and technologies.

COMPENSATION

In addition to the benefits above, the salary for this role is $90K-$130K + equity. This represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay. The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee. We only expect to pay the top of the range in rare and exceptional circumstances, for candidates that far exceed the requirements and expectations of the position.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build the interactive interfaces and backend services that power our autonomous engineering agents. You’ll be responsible for creating seamless user experiences that let engineers visualize complex geometry, interact with AI agents, and manage design workflows—all while collaborating closely with ML, backend, and simulation teams.

Responsibilities

• Build interactive web applications using TypeScript, React, and Three.js to visualize CAD models, simulation results, and agent outputs
• Develop backend services in Python to power workflows, handle model inference requests, and manage user data
• Design intuitive UIs and workflows that make AI-powered engineering agents accessible and useful to domain experts
• Implement real-time rendering and 3D visualization pipelines for CAD, meshes, and simulation outputs
• Collaborate with ML and backend engineers to connect front-end tools with AI models and simulation infrastructure
• Ensure application performance and scalability through robust state management, API design, and efficient data handling
• Participate in architecture discussions and help define best practices for frontend + backend integration
• Own features end-to-end, from design to deployment, in a fast-paced startup environment
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
• Experience building 3D interactive experiences with Three.js or similar frameworks
• Solid backend development experience in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django preferred)
• Familiarity with API design, authentication, and data handling best practices
• Ability to work across the stack and own features from frontend to backend
• Comfort working with scientific/engineering data formats (e.g., meshes, STL, point clouds)
• Strong product intuition and ability to collaborate closely with designers and engineers

Bonus

• Experience with CAD visualization, computational geometry, or simulation tools
• Knowledge of WebGL or shader programming (GLSL, WGSL)
• Experience integrating ML model inference into production apps
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Prior work in engineering-focused or scientific software companies
