About the Engineering Team
As part of our Engineering team, you will help build and evolve the monitoring stack for industrial robotic systems. We are rethinking how these systems are designed, deployed, and maintained—and we’re looking for engineers who challenge the status quo.

What You’ll Do
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop backend infrastructure powering our robotics platform, including:
- System provisioning
- Data collection pipelines
- Monitoring and remote troubleshooting
- AI-driven fleet intelligence
- Collaborate closely with robotics engineers to design robust interfaces between hardware and software systems
- Build software across both edge and cloud environments to enable reliable data ingestion, processing, and system orchestration
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS)
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and maintainability
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to team planning and execution
What Makes You a Great Fit

- 5+ years of experience in full stack software development using Python and modern frontend frameworks (React, React Native, or similar)

About the team
The Go-To-Market Team is responsible for ensuring customers realize measurable value from the automation we deploy. From pre-deployment coordination through onboarding and long-term engagement, the team drives adoption, strengthens relationships, and ensures customers achieve meaningful operational outcomes.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will serve as the front line of pipeline generation. You will identify, engage, and qualify manufacturing prospects, helping translate market interest into meaningful sales conversations.

As Sales Development Representative, you will
- Identify and prospect target manufacturing accounts across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments
- Generate marketing qualified leads and schedule meetings for Account Executives
- Follow up on inbound interest from form submissions, webinars, trade shows, and campaigns
- Build outbound prospecting lists and execute multi-channel outreach via phone, email, and social platforms

The Fleet Operations Team drives uptime and operational performance across Formic’s growing fleet of deployed robotic systems. Working inside live manufacturing environments, the team diagnoses issues, restores production, and continuously improves system reliability at scale. About the role:
As Controls & Automation Engineer, you will own advanced technical support and the long-term reliability of deployed robotic systems. You will operate at the intersection of troubleshooting, system optimization, and product improvement, ensuring automation systems perform consistently in demanding production environments.
This role blends reactive support with proactive engineering. You will diagnose complex failures, implement structured improvements, and partner cross-functionally to strengthen system stability across the fleet. Your work will directly impact system uptime, performance consistency, and long-term customer success.
In this role you will:
- Diagnose and resolve complex automation failures to minimize production downtime
- Design and implement preventative and predictive strategies that improve system reliability
- Lead system-level continuous improvement initiatives, including hardware and software upgrades
- Analyze production data and diagnostic trends to identify systemic performance gaps
- Provide remote support by responding to service tickets, guiding troubleshooting efforts, and triaging issues to onsite teams when required
- Support field service activities within your local region for both reactive and preventative maintenance
- Partner with Product, Deployment, and Engineering teams to standardize equipment configurations and improve system repeatability
- Maintain system documentation, including procedures, maintenance logs, and change-control records
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues across the fleet
- Mentor field technicians and engineers on troubleshooting and system health best practices
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal quality requirements, and relevant industry regulations
- Collaborate with vendors to improve parts availability, diagnostic capabilities, and technical support

As Manufacturing Automation Engineer, you will own advanced technical support and the long-term reliability of deployed robotic systems. This role blends reactive support with proactive engineering. You will diagnose complex failures, implement structured improvements, and partner cross-functionally to strengthen system stability across the fleet. In this role you will:
- Diagnose and resolve complex automation failures to minimize production downtime
- Design and implement preventative and predictive strategies that improve system reliability

About the role:
As a Robotics Field Service Engineer, you are the front line of technical ownership across Formic’s deployed robotic cells. You will diagnose failures, restore systems to production, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and represent Formic directly within customer facilities.

The Software Engineering Team builds and operates the systems that power Formic’s Robotics-as-a-Service platform.
Engineering focuses on ensuring deployed systems are observable, resilient, and remotely diagnosable at scale. The team builds production-grade edge and cloud systems that support reliable data collection, remote troubleshooting, live video streaming, and continuous system improvement.

- Design and train learning-based manipulation systems for humanoid and mobile manipulation platforms
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity digital twins using Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or similar tools

Compensation Philosophy

Final offers are customized based on experience, geographic location, market considerations, and a candidate’s preferred balance of cash and equity.
