Role Overview
The Director, People Technology Services (PTS), is responsible for leading the delivery, operations, and continuous evolution of SIE’s core People systems landscape, including Workday, Greenhouse, Beeline, Absorb, and associated platforms.
Reporting to the Senior Director, People Technology Services, this role directs a broad functional area through multiple managers and is accountable for the performance, quality, and outcomes of People Technology services globally. The Director ensures reliable, secure, and high-quality delivery to People Operations, Talent Enablement, and business stakeholders, while translating enterprise and functional strategy into an executable and sustainable technology roadmap.
This leader will bring clarity, structure, and disciplined execution to an evolving organization, strengthening service delivery while advancing a more intentional, product-oriented operating model.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Leadership & Accountability
Direct and develop multiple functional areas within PTS through subordinate managers, including Workday platform delivery, recruiting systems (Greenhouse), contingent workforce systems (Beeline), learning platforms (Absorb), and service delivery operations.
Hold end-to-end accountability for service performance, including delivery quality, platform stability, SLA adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Make final decisions on operational priorities, tradeoffs, and execution within the People Technology portfolio.
Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
Establish and enforce operating mechanisms for intake, prioritization, Agile delivery, release management, and incident response.
Drive measurable improvements in service quality, case management efficiency, and overall employee experience.
Ensure systems and processes meet global regulatory, data privacy, and security requirements.
Platform Roadmap & Solution Leadership
Translate People & Places strategy into a clear, sequenced People Technology roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and business priorities.
Partner with stakeholders to define solutions that balance business value, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
Leverage deep understanding of HR processes and platform capabilities to guide solution design, adoption, and evolution.
Promote simplification, standardization, and automation, including the responsible use of AI and advanced analytics.
Stakeholder Engagement & Consulting Leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor to People Operations, Talent, and cross-functional leaders, providing both strategic perspective and practical solution guidance.
Lead structured engagement with stakeholders to understand business needs, shape demand, and align on priorities and outcomes.
Communicate clearly across all levels, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
Build credibility through consistent delivery, informed recommendations, and transparent decision-making.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead, coach, and develop a global team of managers and senior specialists, establishing clear accountability and performance expectations.
Build a culture of ownership, curiosity, continuous learning, and disciplined execution.
Ensure appropriate capability coverage across functional and technical domains, addressing gaps through hiring, development, and role clarity.
Financial & Resource Management
Own planning, staffing, and resource allocation across the PTS function, ensuring alignment to business priorities and demand.
Manage budget and vendor spend within the People Technology portfolio, driving cost discipline and value realization.
Oversee third-party vendors and AMS relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and contractual outcomes are met.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure adherence to established governance, architectural standards, and delivery practices.
Contribute to the evolution of operating models, processes, and service frameworks in partnership with senior leadership.
Identify and address systemic issues, driving continuous improvement across platforms and services.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in HR Technology, HRIS, or enterprise platform delivery.
5+ years of experience managing managers and leading distributed, global teams.
Deep expertise in Workday across multiple domains, with strong understanding of HR processes and system architecture.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale HR system delivery, transformation, or platform evolution.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels in a complex, matrixed organization.
Experience establishing delivery frameworks, service models, or product-oriented operating approaches.
Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance considerations in global HR systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading a consulting, solution architecture, or product management function within HR technology.
Broad exposure across HR domains including recruiting, learning, talent, and workforce management systems.
Experience with Agile delivery models and service management frameworks.

Typical cash compensation range for this position inclusive of base hourly rate $29.80/hr- $32.70/hr.
