About Karbon
Karbon is the global leader in AI-powered practice management software for accounting firms. We provide an award-winning cloud platform that helps tens of thousands of accounting professionals work more efficiently and collaboratively every day. With customers in 40 countries, we have grown into a globally distributed team across the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines. We are well-funded, ranked #1 on G2, growing rapidly, and have a people-first culture that is recognized with Great Place To Work® certification and on Fortune magazine's Best Small Workplaces™ List.
Our People team is a high-performing group, deeply committed to our Karbonites and values. We are looking for an operations leader who is AI-native to their core, builds systems that scale, and treats agentic workflows as the foundation of how modern People Operations functions. Reporting to the VP of People, this role owns the operational backbone of how we hire, onboard, and support Karbonites across six countries, with a clear runway toward growing a pillar of the People function.
We are looking for someone unique. You're the right operations leader for us if your default instinct when you see a manual process is to ask "what agent should own this?" before "who should own this?". You don't just use AI tools — you architect the workflows, build the agents, and design the systems that let a lean People team operate at the scale of a much larger one. You're equally fluent in the mechanics of multi-country HR compliance and the mechanics of prompt engineering, integrations, and agentic orchestration.
This is not a coordinator role and it is not a ticket-closing role. You'll spend your time designing how work gets done, not doing the work itself wherever an agent can do it instead. You'll own the operational engine across People Ops, with a meaningful TA overlay (forecasting, reporting, data integrity) and benefits ownership embedded in the role. You'll be measured on how much of that engine runs without human intervention.
Why work at Karbon?
As we hire across various locations within the USA we are required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as physical location/cost of living in that location, years of experience, skills, and other business needs.
It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and each compensation decision is dependent on each individual case. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a target bonus, for some roles very competitive equity grant, and very generous benefits. While we believe competitive compensation is a critical aspect of you deciding to join us, we do hope you also spend time considering why our mission, purpose and values are right for you. We are creating something transformational here, and we hope you are as excited about the future as we are!
Karbon embraces diversity and inclusion, aligning with our values as a business. Research has shown that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single criteria. If you've made it this far in the job description but your past experience doesn't perfectly align, we do encourage you to still apply. You could still be the right person for the role!
We recruit and reward people based on capability and performance. We don’t discriminate based on race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, lifestyle, age, educational background, national origin, religion, physical or cognitive ability, and other diversity dimensions that may hinder inclusion in the organization.
Generally, if you are a good person, we want to talk to you. 😛
If there are any adjustments or accommodations that we can make to assist you during the recruitment process, and your journey at Karbon, contact us at people.support@karbonhq.com for a confidential discussion.
At this time, we request that agency referrals are not submitted for this position. We appreciate your understanding and encourage direct applications from interested candidates. Thank you!

We are looking for a true partner who is commercially sharp, proactively curious, and fluent in both the people discipline and the AI tools redefining how great HR professionals work. Reporting to the VP of People, this role’s main client group includes our Customer and Sales teams, with the unique opportunity to partner with executive leaders to drive performance, engagement, and provide real business insights.
We are looking for someone unique. You’re the right HR partner for us if you walk into every leader conversation already knowing the business context, GDR, NDR, churn, pipeline health, quota attainment etc., and you'll bring people insights that leaders haven't or don’t even know to ask for yet. You’re highly AI-centric and use AI agents and agentic workflows as a natural extension of how you work, not as an experiment, and you're excited about what that means for the future of the people function and the teams you support.
This is not just a case management role. You'll spend as much time anticipating the challenges as solving them, and you'll be as comfortable challenging a VP's org design decision as handling a complex ER matter, and just as comfortable deploying an AI agent to synthesize engagement data as facilitating a critical performance conversation.

We are looking for a Director of Performance Marketing to lead Karbon's paid and digital growth engine at a pivotal moment. AI is not on the horizon for marketing - it is here. Buyer discovery is increasingly happening through AI-native surfaces. The next generation of search is agentic. This role demands a leader who is not watching these changes unfold, but actively building strategy and systems to get ahead of them.
You will own paid media strategy and investment, lead Karbon's approach to AI-native and agentic search, drive the website as a high-converting commercial asset, and architect lifecycle campaigns that grow revenue across the full customer journey. Critically, you will also be expected to build a team that uses AI to work smarter - automating intelligently, experimenting faster, and scaling output without scaling headcount proportionally.

Karbon is a fast-growing vertical SaaS company with strong product-market fit, a loyal customer base in the accounting and professional services space, and an ambitious growth trajectory. Inbound demand is healthy and accelerating. The opportunity now is to match that demand with world-class operational execution.
We are hiring a Senior Manager of Marketing Operations to be the dedicated operational leader who turns marketing investment into reliable, high-velocity pipeline. This person will own the systems, processes, and data infrastructure that connect marketing activity to revenue outcomes, ensuring that every lead is captured, routed, measured, and optimized at the speed this business demands.
This is a hands-on role. You will build automation workflows, configure integrations, troubleshoot platform issues, and construct reporting yourself. You are not managing a team of people who do this work. You are the person doing it. At the same time, you will lead cross-functionally across marketing, sales, and revenue operations, and you will communicate strategy and operational plans clearly to executive stakeholders. We are looking for someone with senior strategic expertise who thrives in execution, not someone waiting for a team to delegate to.
Karbon is building an agentic organization. Every role here is expected to operate with an AI-first mindset, and this role is no exception.

Revenue Operations Director
Cross Collaboration:
Chief Marketing Officer, Director of Performance Marketing, Salesforce Administration Team, Demand Generation, Web Team

We are hiring our first internal Senior IT Systems Administrator to support Karbon's global team and build our internal IT function from the ground up.
Today, our IT services are delivered through an external managed service provider based in New York. In this role, you'll work closely with that partner while progressively taking on direct operational ownership as Karbon grows. Over time, this role is expected to expand into a small team, with a focus on extending coverage across our non-US regions — particularly Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and the UK — and bringing more services in-house.
This is a hands-on, senior role for someone who owns problems, builds systems, and makes things work better. You won't just manage tickets — you'll shape how IT operates at a rapidly growing company. Karbon is genuinely, substantively embracing AI across every part of how we work — not as a side project, but as a fundamental shift in how we operate. We expect this role to reflect that: those that should apply should be very comfortable reaching for agentic tools and automated workflows as a first instinct, not an afterthought.

Karbon is looking for a Manager of Payment Operations to own and continuously improve how payments work inside our platform. This is a hands-on builder role: you'll design, document, and operate the processes that keep Karbon's payments infrastructure running smoothly — and you'll use modern AI tools to automate as much of that work as possible.
You won't be managing a team on day one, but you'll be building the playbook that a team will eventually run. That means writing the SOPs, identifying the automation opportunities, owning the vendor relationships, and making sure Finance always has clean numbers. The ideal candidate is someone who geeks out over process design, has strong payments fundamentals in the US market, and sees AI as a genuine force multiplier.
This role sits at the intersection of Karbon's core app, our Stripe integration, and the operational layer that makes payments reliable for thousands of accounting firms.

Payment volumes at Karbon are growing extremely quickly. You'll be the person who, in partnership with the GM, defines how it works: the processes, the automations, the dashboards, the playbook. When this function is mature, it'll be because you built it. For someone who wants to own something meaningful at a company with real scale and a clear payments growth trajectory, this is that opportunity.

Engineers are expected to balance delivery speed with a strong commitment to quality, meeting agreed timelines while producing reliable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions. Sound judgment in making trade-offs between velocity and long-term sustainability is essential.
Collaborate Effectively
Engineering is collaborative by default. Team members are expected to contribute constructively in design discussions, reviews, and planning, communicate clearly about progress and risks, and support shared team outcomes in both hybrid and distributed environments.
Build and Maintain Systems
Engineers are responsible for building new capabilities while maintaining and improving existing systems. This includes designing scalable solutions, reducing technical debt, supporting operational stability, and contributing to continuous improvement.
Operate with Autonomy
A high degree of autonomy is expected. Given clear objectives, engineers should independently translate problems into actionable technical approaches, proactively identify improvements, and continuously expand relevant technical expertise.
Ownership and Accountability
Ownership is fundamental. Engineers are accountable for the quality, performance, and customer impact of their work from design through post-release support, and are expected to follow through on commitments.
AI-Enabled Engineering
AI is reshaping how software is built, and we are committed to leveraging it as a force multiplier for creativity, impact, and capability. Engineers are expected to confidently apply strong technical fundamentals while embracing AI tools and approaches to enhance productivity, problem-solving, and innovation. Curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for integrating AI into meaningful product development are essential.
Contribute to Team Culture
Engineers contribute positively to a culture of professionalism, transparency, low bureaucracy, and mutual respect, strengthening team performance through authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration.
You’ll contribute to building reliable, high-quality software across our .NET and modern JavaScript stack. Working alongside experienced engineers, designers, and product managers, you’ll help deliver new product capabilities while maintaining and improving existing systems.
This is a role designed for engineers early in their careers who want to grow quickly by working on real production systems. You’ll develop strong engineering fundamentals, learn modern development practices, and gain experience across the full software development lifecycle.
This position description is intended merely as a guideline of the responsibilities involved in the position. The employee is expected to perform any other duties as reasonably required by their Manager.
We build modern, scalable software on a thoughtfully designed stack:
Our architecture continues to evolve as we scale. We invest in event-driven systems, well-defined microservices, and containerized deployments (Azure Container Apps) to build resilient, decoupled, and high-performing software.
If you care about clean service boundaries, reliable systems, and shipping with confidence — you’ll feel right at home here.
