ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for the Manager, Operational Technology and SCADA position. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound industry knowledge, superior communications, and detail-oriented organizational skills. This role reports to our Sr. Manager, Information Technology.
This role requires an experienced technology leader to own, scale and evolve the data acquisition layer that connects our utility‑scale solar and battery storage assets to all downstream consumers of operational data. The successful candidate is responsible for the systems that enable asset management, performance analytics, grid compliance, third‑party integrations, and executive reporting, serving as the critical bridge between project sites and the people and platforms that rely on their data.
The Manager of OT & SCADA will lead the design, procurement, deployment, and ongoing support of a secure, scalable Operational Technology architecture across a growing portfolio. This is a hands‑on, builder role that works closely with construction partners, utilities, grid operators, O&M providers, and equipment vendors to commission and integrate site‑level systems.

This role manages and is responsible for team associated with all technical design and costing needs prior to equipment selection and EPC contracting. Expertise is required across HV gen-tie and substation, PV and BESS design and costing. This role is highly cross-functional, and requires management of direct internal team, external engineering consultants and project team activities and peers. It combines depth of technical and commercial knowledge with the ability to drive design and estimating strategy in line with project and business needs.

Working in close coordination with various other cross-functional teams including Permitting, Asset Management, Development, Engineering, Transmission/Interconnection, Project Finance, and Construction Management, the Manager oversees compliance with environmental and land use permit conditions for operating utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, including conditional use permits, state and federal endangered species permits, stream, wetland, and stormwater permits, wildlife laws and regulations, and other local, state, and federal regulations. This person has at least five (5) years of experience in managing the environmental compliance of large infrastructure projects with demonstrated experience within the renewable or similar industries strongly desired. This position requires an understanding of permitting and permit compliance requirements on a subject matter expert level; manages others with expertise in the field and works hands-on to ensure compliance tasks are completed with project needs including budget and schedule.
