This role will be an integral partner to Anduril’s Quality team. As a Product Quality Engineer, you will work inside & outside the organization to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high quality & reliable compute solutions. You will work with responsible engineers who are designing → building → and delivering complex customer programs. You will bring your technical knowledge and leadership skills to set objectives, build teams & processes, and drive projects to completion. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work cross-functionally to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Review the effectiveness of actions and share lessons learned across the product team.
• Lead product health data analysis and improvement activities. Establish metrics for measuring quality and the factors that predict quality performance.
• Support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Define and improve required documentation and activities.
• Support investigations, initiatives, and projects as needed, at the team or organization level.
• Own the identification and elimination of product quality risk to improve reliability across the product lifecycle. Support the quality planning from production concept/customer requirements through development and manufacturing to field use.
• Ensure the execution of product and process requirements to meet quality performance targets. Define and improve such requirements. Partner with production to ensure incoming material inspection, process control plans, and end of line test capture the essential quality requirements for successful customer shipments.
• Open to travel between HQ (CA) and Ohio based on program needs 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field
• Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace/defense or similar hardware.
• Working knowledge of design review and quality management of precision mechanical parts & sub-assemblies, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion systems, and lethality systems.
• Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization. Leading the transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing for product quality coverage.
• Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
• Application of industry standards and best practices to meet government customer quality expectations.
• A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
• Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, Minitab, etc.)
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in a technical field
• 5-7 years of experience with developing quality systems for high volume, high complex manufacturing environments and suppliers.

The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and supporting verification and qualification testing activities for aerospace electrical and electromechanical products. This role supports New Product Introduction (NPI), qualification, and flight-critical development programs through the development of test methods, fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to validate product performance, investigate failures, and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of prototype, development, and qualification testing activities for aerospace products and subsystems.
• Perform testing on aerospace electronic control units, generators, rotating equipment, and related subassemblies.
• Design, assemble, and maintain test setups, fixtures, instrumentation, and supporting hardware required for validation activities.
• Configure and operate laboratory equipment to capture and analyze digital test data.
• Evaluate test results, identify performance issues, and provide recommendations for corrective actions or design improvements.
• Troubleshoot product and test system failures during development and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to establish effective test methodologies and ensure compliance with product specifications.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant engineering or test experience preferred.
• Candidates with an Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field combined with six (6) or more years of applicable experience will also be considered.

Required Skills & Background

• Experience supporting aerospace product development, validation, or qualification testing environments.
• Familiarity with aerospace electrical power generation systems and associated testing methods.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and oil-cooled systems is highly desirable.

Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000

You will own the entire manufacturing value-chain for Roadrunner, from current rate to high-volume deployment. Your responsibilities will span the spectrum: driving Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback into design, innovating tool design and selection, creating and optimizing high-rate production lines, fostering strategic vendor partnerships, embedding robust quality assurance throughout, and meticulously documenting build processes.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles. This responsibility includes everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, Design for Manufacturability work, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Senior Manufacturing Engineer owns.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a certain product or set of products
• Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts
• Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes
• Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing their hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering - preferably in the aerospace industry
• Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples
• Knowledge in CAD and production planning tools - ERP, MES, etc.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that we are testing our systems to stringent standards ensuring that we are consistently shipping the highest quality products to our customers. Additionally you will ensure that we are able to meet the required throughput requirements of production. In this role you’ll need to think creatively and come up with solutions to solve difficult testing problems and push to continuously improve our methods of automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.

This role will be based temporarily at Santa Ana, CA for a 3 month training period before transitioning to Asheville, OH.

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensuring production test flow. Provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex electrical issues found during testing.

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Durability Test Engineer to join our team dedicated to revolutionizing urban mobility. This role focuses specifically on the whole-vehicle and in-service durability testing of our autonomous robotaxi, ensuring its long-term reliability through real-world and proving ground validation.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle-Level Test Plan Development: Design, document, and manage comprehensive whole-vehicle durability and accelerated mileage accumulation (AMA) test plans across various terrains and environmental conditions.
• Proving Ground and Road Testing Execution: Lead and execute vehicle durability tests at external proving grounds, public roads, and specialized test facilities, ensuring adherence to rigorous test cycles and safety protocols.
• Data Acquisition (DAQ) Setup and Testing: Plan and execute on-vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition tests to accurately capture loads, strains, and vibrations on critical vehicle structures and systems.
• In-Service Failure Analysis: Diagnose and investigate durability-related failures that occur during on-road testing or early field operation, determining the root cause through hands-on inspection and data analysis.
• Component Durability Validation: Track and verify the performance and reliability of newly integrated components (suspension, steering, brakes, etc.) during vehicle-level durability testing to ensure their life and correct function.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in whole-vehicle durability testing, road load data acquisition (RLDA), or performance validation within the automotive or heavy equipment industry. Experience with electric vehicles (EVs) is highly desirable. Technical Skills:
• Proven, hands-on experience with on-vehicle instrumentation setup, including strain gauges, accelerometers, displacement transducers, and thermocouple installation.
• Experience with setting up and operating multi-channel data acquisition (DAQ) hardware (e.g., Somat, HBM, Dewetron) for vehicle testing.

As a Senior Hardware Technician, you own the geometric truth of every cell that leaves our floor. After Controls Bring-Up is complete, you set up a FARO Vantage laser tracker, level the rail, align positioners, and run the RoboDK robot calibration that tells the welder where it actually is within fractions of a millimeter. You'll capture the data, validate it against our tolerances, package it per the cell type, and hand it off to our Logical Bring-Up team. Without your work, the welder is guessing.
This is a precision role for someone who is at home with a laser tracker, comfortable around large industrial robots in teach mode, and gets satisfaction from clean data.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate a FARO Vantage laser tracker: tripod, extension, level, warm-up, and stable lock on SMRs.
• Survey and shim the robot transfer unit (RTU) rail to level within tolerance; re-survey for confirmation.
• Align positioner headstocks and tailstocks (single-side, dual-side, dynamic, static, indexable variants) and capture before/after data.
• Establish robot base coordinate systems in Polyworks Inspector via macro — verify Z-up, X-down-track.
• Run RoboDK robot calibration on welder and (where applicable) global scanner robots — base setup, geometric calibration measurement set, and validation poses.
• Capture RTU and positioner / rail-axis data using our Polyworks macros.
• Generate, clean, and export Polyworks coordinate-system and reference-point reports at six-digit decimal precision; export tables to CSV.
• Run our Python script in RoboDK to compute robot calibration error; verify against RoboDK-reported norms and flag any deviation.
• Assemble the per-cell data package (CSV, TXT, PDF) per our File Naming Convention table for the cell variant; upload to the cell's calibration-results folder.
• Walk the bring-up engineer through the data package; obtain written acceptance; tear down and pack out.
• Identify recurring fixturing, build, or alignment issues that show up on the tracker, and feed them back to design and build through our ECR process.
• Help us automate. Half of this job is repetitive (rename a file, change decimal precision, upload). If you can write Python or shell to kill those steps, we want it.
• Maintain our tracker's calibration certificate, SMRs, cabling, and bring-up laptop image; flag re-cal needs proactively.

Who You Are

• 3+ years hands-on experience with a FARO laser tracker (Vantage / Ion / equivalent) in a manufacturing or contract-metrology environment.
• Working proficiency with Polyworks Inspector — running and modifying macros, generating and editing inspection reports.
• Practical understanding of dimensional metrology fundamentals: GD&T, coordinate systems, alignment, datum structures, measurement uncertainty.

We are standing up a new Robot Learning team focused on whole-body loco-manipulation for precision tasks in heavy manufacturing. 

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join us as a founding member. You will be among the first ML engineers on a research stack that does not exist anywhere else in the field built around visual reasoning, learned action policies, and reinforcement-learning fine-tuning from real customer data.

What You’ll Do

• Build the team's robot-learning stack from the ground up. This is a founding role; you are designing the training infrastructure, data pipelines, simulation environments, model architectures, and deployment workflows — not inheriting them. Multi-modal perception, scene understanding, and learned action generation work in tight coordination on the stack you help create.
• Stand up ML infrastructure — training pipelines, experiment tracking, data versioning, reproducible sim-to-real workflows.
• Train policies across manipulation, locomotion, and the whole-body control coupling between them. We are standing up a new Robot Learning team focused on whole-body loco-manipulation for precision tasks in heavy manufacturing. 

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Tech Lead) for this new team. You write code, set the technical direction, make the architectural decisions the team builds on, mentor junior and intermediate engineers, and help shape how the team works.

What You’ll Do

• Set the ML technical direction for the team, architectural choices on perception, reasoning, and action generation; training methodology; data strategy; the path from research bet to deployed capability. As one of the first senior hires, you are designing the approach, not extending it.
• Own the architectural workstreams that define the team's research and engineering bets — multiple core build streams across action-policy learning, world-model-based supervision, and policy-orchestration interfaces.
• Design hybrid physics-ML architectures for the integrated loco-manipulation stack. Manipulation, locomotion, and the whole-body control coupling between them are not separable on legged platforms; sub-millimetre continuous-trajectory precision at the tool requires the whole-body controller to compensate for base motion in real time. • Own the cross-functional partnerships with hardware teams, domain experts, customer-facing assurance standards, and upstream / downstream teams. Drive a phased deployment strategy that builds production trust over time.
• Mentor and shape the team, guide junior and intermediate ICs across software, ML, robotics, and perception backgrounds; establish code-quality standards, review practices, and engineering norms; help identify and attract next hires. Who You Are

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on robot learning experience. You have shipped sim-to-real policies on real robots, across different tasks or platforms.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship. • Physics-informed ML or hybrid control experience — PINNs, neural ODEs, MPC with learned dynamics, process-model-conditioned generation, or similar.

Summary:

This role will support engineering design and development activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.

Essential Functions

• Develop Embedded Linux and microcontroller software applications using C/C++, and occasionally other programming languages.

We're looking for an Electrical Hardware Engineer with a strong foundation in PCB design and electrical systems development. You'll work on the electronics that power mobile robotic welding platforms — from sensor interfaces and motor control to power distribution and embedded communication. This is a role for someone who takes ownership of their designs end to end: from schematic capture through layout, bring-up, and integration into a working system.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop PCBs for embedded control, power management, motor drive, and sensor interfacing in robotic systems
• Own designs from schematic capture through layout, fabrication, assembly, and hardware validation
• Specify and select components with attention to availability, cost, reliability, and fit within the broader electrical architecture
• Define and validate electrical interfaces between custom PCBs, off-the-shelf modules, actuators, and sensing hardware
• Develop and execute hardware test plans; debug boards at the bench and support integration with firmware and software teams
• Maintain design documentation, schematics, and BOMs in version-controlled workflows
• Work with contract manufacturers and PCB fabricators to ensure designs are manufacturable and yield-friendly
• Support field investigations and drive design improvements based on reliability findings

Who You Are 

Required

• 3–6 years of hardware engineering experience in a product development environment

• Experience designing multi-layer PCBs with mixed-signal, power, and high-speed digital content
