Senior Hardware Technician, Controls Bring-Up

As a Senior Hardware Technician, you'll be the first person to bring electricity, intelligence, and motion to a freshly built robotic welding cell. After our build team completes mechanical assembly, the cell rolls to your bench. You'll image the PC and HMI, configure the safety PLC and managed network, set up the robot controller and Functional Safety Unit, configure every field device on EtherNet/IP and IO-Link, run a bit-level I/O check, and execute the safety functional test that proves the cell is safe to move and weld. From there, you hand off to our Logical Bring-Up team for software calibration and production validation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to live at the intersection of controls, robotics, and safety, and who takes pride in being the person who makes a cell come alive.
What You’ll Do
- Execute the full Controls Bring-Up procedure on each new cell: hardware device setup, robot controller setup, and safety QC.
- Configure managed switches and VLANs (control, safety, vision, diagnostic) per the network plan.
- Update PLC firmware, download the released PLC program, and verify a clean startup.
- Set IPs and verify EtherNet/IP comms for valve packs, IO-Link masters, remote I/O blocks, area scanners, distance sensors, and servo packs.
- Configure the welding power source (firmware update, comms interface, weld I/O exchange).
- Set up the robot controller end-to-end: IP, remote pendant, EtherNet/IP scanner/adapter mapping to PLC, safety logic load, controller-to-PLC interlock verification.
- Initialize, zero, and verify all robot, base, and positioner axes; configure servo parameters and home positions; set soft limits.
- Calibrate the Tool Center Point (TCP) and gravity for the welder torch and torch-cleaning-station tip pointer.
- Configure the Functional Safety Unit (FSU): coasting value, robot range limit, axis speed monitor, speed limit; load FSU files.
- Apply the standard functionality settings (SimpleConnect, energy saving, jog key allocation, joint velocity remap, wire-feeder interference model, cycle-switch-in-remote, pendant password and date/time, calibration pendant ladder mod and wiring, serial-number job).
- Run a bit-level I/O check against the I/O list and a full safety functional test (E-stops, light curtains, gates, interlocks); record PASS/FAIL and resolve any FAIL before sign-off.
- Pre- and post-bring-up controller backups (CMOS plus individual files) archived to the cell folder.
- Document deviations, drive ECRs to resolution with the design team, and contribute back to our Confluence procedure set so the next person has a better experience than you did.
- Mentor junior techs — we're growing the team, and being a force-multiplier matters here.
Who You Are
- 3+ years bringing up industrial automation cells — robotic, machining, or assembly — in a manufacturing or system-integrator environment.
- Hands-on configuration of a current six-axis industrial robot controller (Yaskawa YRC-class strongly preferred; Fanuc / ABB / KUKA experience considered).
- Working proficiency with a Logix-class safety PLC and Studio 5000 (or RSLogix 5000): firmware updates, program download, online edits, I/O mapping, troubleshooting.
- EtherNet/IP networking on the plant floor: device addressing, scanner/adapter configuration, managed switch and VLAN setup.
- Reading and working from electrical, controls, and safety drawings; comfortable doing point-to-point I/O checks with a multimeter.
- Working knowledge of robotic welding cells or comparable robotic process equipment.
- Discipline around documentation, configuration backups, and version control of files (CMOS, PLC, FSU, network).
- Comfortable working in PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toes) in an active manufacturing environment.
Preferred but not required:
- Functional Safety Unit (FSU) configuration on Yaskawa controllers.
- IO-Link master and device commissioning.
- Welding power source setup (Miller, Lincoln, Fronius).
- ROS / ROS driver job-file experience for industrial robots.
- Python scripting for automating repetitive setup, file renames, or backup pulls.
- Experience writing or editing Confluence procedure pages, work instructions, or training materials.
- OSHA-10 / OSHA-30, NFPA 70E arc-flash, or LOTO certifications current.

Senior Hardware Technician, Laser Tracker Calibration

As a Senior Hardware Technician, you own the geometric truth of every cell that leaves our floor. After Controls Bring-Up is complete, you set up a FARO Vantage laser tracker, level the rail, align positioners, and run the RoboDK robot calibration that tells the welder where it actually is within fractions of a millimeter. You'll capture the data, validate it against our tolerances, package it per the cell type, and hand it off to our Logical Bring-Up team. Without your work, the welder is guessing.
This is a precision role for someone who is at home with a laser tracker, comfortable around large industrial robots in teach mode, and gets satisfaction from clean data.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate a FARO Vantage laser tracker: tripod, extension, level, warm-up, and stable lock on SMRs.
- Survey and shim the robot transfer unit (RTU) rail to level within tolerance; re-survey for confirmation.
- Align positioner headstocks and tailstocks (single-side, dual-side, dynamic, static, indexable variants) and capture before/after data.
- Establish robot base coordinate systems in Polyworks Inspector via macro — verify Z-up, X-down-track.
- Run RoboDK robot calibration on welder and (where applicable) global scanner robots — base setup, geometric calibration measurement set, and validation poses.
- Capture RTU and positioner / rail-axis data using our Polyworks macros.
- Generate, clean, and export Polyworks coordinate-system and reference-point reports at six-digit decimal precision; export tables to CSV.
- Run our Python script in RoboDK to compute robot calibration error; verify against RoboDK-reported norms and flag any deviation.
- Assemble the per-cell data package (CSV, TXT, PDF) per our File Naming Convention table for the cell variant; upload to the cell's calibration-results folder.
- Walk the bring-up engineer through the data package; obtain written acceptance; tear down and pack out.
- Identify recurring fixturing, build, or alignment issues that show up on the tracker, and feed them back to design and build through our ECR process.
- Help us automate. Half of this job is repetitive (rename a file, change decimal precision, upload). If you can write Python or shell to kill those steps, we want it.
- Maintain our tracker's calibration certificate, SMRs, cabling, and bring-up laptop image; flag re-cal needs proactively.
- Mentor junior techs — we're growing the team, and being a force-multiplier matters here.
Who You Are
- 3+ years hands-on experience with a FARO laser tracker (Vantage / Ion / equivalent) in a manufacturing or contract-metrology environment.
- Working proficiency with Polyworks Inspector — running and modifying macros, generating and editing inspection reports.
- Practical understanding of dimensional metrology fundamentals: GD&T, coordinate systems, alignment, datum structures, measurement uncertainty.
- Comfort working alongside an industrial six-axis robot in teach mode — including basic teach-pendant navigation.
- Disciplined documentation and file-management practices; you understand why naming conventions matter.
- Comfortable working in PPE in an active manufacturing environment.
Preferred but not required:
- RoboDK robot calibration — geometric DH calibration and validation workflows.
- Yaskawa (or other industrial robot) teach-pendant familiarity.
- Python scripting — even basic file-rename / upload automation is a big plus.
- 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and converting CAD models into RoboDK stations.
- Experience with multiple tracker platforms (Leica, Hexagon) or photogrammetry systems.
- Manufacturer training certificates from FARO, InnovMetric, or RoboDK.

What You’ll Do
- Support Customers, interact and operate running our state of the art autonomous welding cells
- Interface with customers to ensure our equipment is operating efficiently.
- Coordinate with our engineering resources to troubleshoot issues that may arise.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our automation equipment/cells locally or at customer sites
- Troubleshoot customer issues of the welding system- familiarity with electrical, mechanical and vision systems will be helpful.
- Record data as required by engineers to drive issue resolution
- Carefully monitor cell performance and part fit-up
- Read engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, electrical schematics and interpret blueprints
- Service and maintain pneumatic systems, welding equipment, robotics, and electrical automation devices.
- Integrate a sophisticated autonomous welding cell into a customer’s manufacturing process.
- Learn Forge processes in great detail and gain familiarity in operating the cell from command prompts and code changes
- Inspect, clean, and replace electrical and mechanical components

Who You Are
- Technical training/Trade School certification/ Associate degree in Engineering Tech/BS Engineering or related industry experience
- Hands-on experience in design, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical systems (preferably manufacturing equipment specific)
- Good customer support mindset
- Some welding experience (no certifications necessary)
- Have fabrication or machine shop experience
- Linux experience
- Comfortable with learning some programming languages

The Senior Machinist is a highly skilled tradesperson responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision parts. In addition to consistently completing assigned tasks, this role contributes strongly to team success by serving as a go-to technical resource, providing guidance, and supporting cross-functional collaboration. The Senior Machinist proactively seeks feedback, communicates effectively with leadership, and helps elevate overall shop performance.

As an Executive Assistant, you will be a critical force multiplier for our executive leadership team. You’ll build and operate the systems that keep executive time, communication, and coordination running smoothly, enabling leaders to focus on the highest-impact work. This role partners closely with the Chief of Staff and supports the full executive team across calendars, inboxes, travel, onsite visits, executive offsites, and other high-touch engagements.

Calendar Management & Scheduling
- Own calendar coordination for executive leadership team, maximizing focus and strategic time
- Schedule meetings (remote and in-person) with investors, partners, and customers

As a Hardware Technician, you will be building cutting-edge hardware devices. What You’ll Do

Who You Are

What You’ll Do
- Support Customers, interact and operate running our state of the art autonomous welding cells
- Interface with customers to ensure our equipment is operating efficiently.

- Fluent in English and Spanish is desirable, but not required
- Familiarity with fabrication or machine shop processes.

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Field Services Lead to head our field technician team along with our Field Services Manager. In this role you will split your time between doing the hands-on technical work (the Player) and coaching, developing, and holding accountable the technicians around you (the Coach). You will set the technical and professional standard for the team, own the health of our customer cells in the field, and drive the continuous improvement that keeps Path’s systems running at their best.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership
- Lead complex troubleshooting and set technical standards for the team
- Operate, maintain, and repair multi-robotic welding systems, pneumatics, electrical/mechanical components, and automation equipment (local and customer sites)
- Perform preventive maintenance, validate repairs, and track cell performance and part fit-up

We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own product marketing at Path Robotics. You set direction, run your own initiatives, and don't need someone looking over your shoulder.
You sit between product, sales, and the market. You figure out how we position our technology for technical buyers, and you give the sales team materials that actually move deals. You'll work across engineering, applications, sales, and leadership to make sure our go-to-market reflects what we actually build and who we build it for.
This isn't a role where you wait for someone to hand you a brief. You find the gaps and fill them. If a fabrication shop owner reads our positioning, they should think, "these people understand my problems." That's the bar.
What You’ll Do
- Own product positioning and messaging across all of Path’s products and capabilities. Develop and maintain the core narratives that differentiate us in the market.
- Drive go-to-market strategy for product launches, feature releases, and market expansion. Coordinate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and customer success.
- Create high-quality content that establishes Path as the authority in autonomous welding: white papers, case studies, application guides, blog posts, and thought leadership.
- Build and refine sales enablement materials: battle cards, competitive analysis, objection handling guides, ROI frameworks, pitch decks, and demo scripts.
- Develop deep competitive intelligence. Know the landscape cold—traditional automation, other robotics companies, manual welding operations—and translate that into actionable positioning.
- Define and manage buyer personas and journey mapping. Ensure all marketing efforts are grounded in how technical buyers actually evaluate and purchase.
- Partner with the sales team to understand deal dynamics, win/loss patterns, and where marketing can have the most impact on the pipeline.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally at a B2B company or industrial/manufacturing technology environment
- Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution. You can develop the GTM strategy and also write the battle card yourself.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills. You can translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for different audiences.

We are looking for a Welding Engineer who will work side-by-side with a team of welding engineers to develop an autonomous robotic welding system capable of automatically generating custom motion plans and weld parameters for any part that it sees. You will also support teams with welding experiments, generating the data that propels our technology forward. You will join a team of dedicated, supportive, and enthusiastic people to help create the future of manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
- Run weld parameter selection experiments to identify a range of welding parameters (voltage, wire speed, travel speed) that can be used for new customer applications
- Partner with robotics engineers to develop a set of rules for how to move the workpiece and robot end-effector to automate trajectory generation
- Perform robotic welding experiments to test other systems in development including sensors and inspection systems, path planning and welding strategies, and new hardware
- Work with our hardware team to fabricate test coupons for application feasibility testing and other in-house experiments
- 30%-50% travel required, in which you will be interfacing and working directly with customers.
- Operate a state-of the art AI-powered robotic welding cell
- Manually weld coupons and other test parts when needed
- Use powered shop tools to cut and etch weld samples
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience developing robotic welding procedures in an industrial environment
- Proficient in industrial robotics including Yaskawa, ABB, Kuka, or Fanuc platforms
- Background in fusion-based weld parameter development for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Proficient with manual welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and SMAW

We need a Technical Marketing Engineer. Someone who's spent real time in manufacturing and can turn that knowledge into content that technical buyers actually trust.
This isn't a traditional marketing role. You'll sit on the marketing team but spend your time with engineering, applications, sales, and customer success. Your job is to make sure everything we put out speaks the language of the shop floor, not Silicon Valley.
If a welding engineer reads our white paper, they should think "these people know what they're talking about." That's the bar.
What You’ll Do
- Write white papers, case studies, application guides, product one-pagers, and blog posts grounded in actual manufacturing and welding knowledge
- Build and maintain ROI calculators, business case tools, and other quantitative sales enablement materials
- Translate AI and robotics capabilities into clear, credible messaging for manufacturing audiences. No buzzword stacking.
- Support product launches with technically accurate positioning, competitive analysis, and go-to-market materials
- Create demo scripts, talking points, and presentation content for trade shows (FABTECH, AWS, industry events)
- Work with the applications engineering team to capture customer stories, weld data, and production metrics
- Be the last check on all outbound technical marketing. If it would lose credibility with a fabrication manager, it doesn't go out.
- Contribute to website content, video scripts, and social posts that need technical depth
- Help sharpen competitive positioning against traditional automation and other robotics companies
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field
- 3+ years in engineering, manufacturing, welding, or fabrication environments. You've been on shop floors and understand the realities of production.
- Strong technical writing. You can explain complex concepts clearly without dumbing them down.
- Familiarity with welding
- Comfortable working across engineering, sales, and leadership teams

We're looking for a Sales Enablement & Content Specialist who will be instrumental in empowering our go-to-market teams to close deals faster and retain customers longer. You'll be the bridge between our revenue strategy and execution, ensuring our sellers are equipped with the right content, processes, and methodologies to succeed. This role is perfect for someone early in their career who's passionate about sales effectiveness, loves creating scalable systems, and thrives at the intersection of content, technology, and data.
You'll work closely with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to build and maintain our enablement ecosystem—from documenting proven processes to creating compelling content, implementing the Challenger methodology, and measuring what's actually working.
What You’ll Do
Enablement & Methodology
- Champion the Challenger Sales methodology across the GTM organization, ensuring reps understand and apply Teaching, Tailoring, and Taking Control in their sales conversations
- Design and deliver enablement programs for new hires and ongoing skill development, with a focus on practical application of Challenger principles
- Create interactive learning experiences using modern enablement platforms (Spekit, Highspot, Guru, etc.) that provide just-in-time guidance
- Develop role-play scenarios, objection handling frameworks, and discovery question libraries aligned to Challenger techniques
- Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and design targeted coaching programs
- Maintain and update our sales playbook to reflect best practices, winning behaviors, and evolved methodologies
Content Creation & Management
- Build and curate a centralized content library including battle cards, one-pagers, pitch decks, case studies, competitive intel, and ROI calculators
- Collaborate with Marketing to translate marketing content into sales-ready assets that move deals forward
- Create process documentation, SOPs, and how-to guides that make complex workflows simple
- Develop templates and frameworks that help reps execute consistently (email sequences, discovery guides, qualification frameworks, mutual action plans)
- Produce internal enablement content including training videos, knowledge base articles, and quick reference guides
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Notion AI, etc.) to accelerate content creation while maintaining quality and brand voice
- Ensure all content is accessible, searchable, and integrated into tools reps use daily (Hubspot, enablement platform, Slack)
Process Documentation & Optimization
- Document sales and customer success processes end-to-end, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Create visual process maps and workflows that clarify handoffs, responsibilities, and success criteria
- Work with Revenue Operations to standardize deal progression, stage definitions, and exit criteria
- Build and maintain a knowledge repository that serves as the single source of truth for GTM processes
- Identify process bottlenecks and work cross-functionally to implement solutions
Analytics & Reporting
- Partner with the Revenue Operations Specialist to measure enablement effectiveness and methodology adherence
- Track content utilization, engagement metrics, and correlation to deal outcomes
- Monitor sales activity data to identify where reps are following (or deviating from) documented processes
- Create dashboards and reports that show enablement ROI and highlight areas needing attention
- Use data to continuously refine enablement programs and content strategy

Who You Are
- 1-3 years of experience in sales enablement, revenue operations, sales operations, or a related GTM role

We are looking for a highly motivated Logistics and Resupply Specialist to assist the company in management of logistics, customs clearance, and fleet resupply for both domestic and international shipping. They’ll be a key member of our supply chain team working closely with our procurement and operations teams.
What You’ll Do
- Logistics Management: Manage the logistics movement for all Path’s international and domestic shipping needs across suppliers, customers, tradeshows, and more.
- Negotiate rates and contracts for all shipping needs, including FTL, LTL, parcels, and more.

- Develop a process for tracking and delivering consumables to customer sites.
- Documentation: Prepare all documentation related to logistics, including HS code analysis / selection to minimize tariffs, carnets for equipment, international shipping customs paperwork, service provider scorecards, open delivery reports, truck loading plans, bill of lading, and more. May involve working with customs brokers and customers on preferred formatting.
- Packaging: Manage all internal and external packaging to fit our logistics and cross-functional needs, such as crates, skids, boxes, etc.

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, build, and refine the electrical foundation behind our automation platform. Who You Are
- 2–6+ years of experience designing and deploying industrial electrical systems for automated equipment or machinery.

- Solid understanding of power distribution, circuit protection, grounding, and industrial wiring standards.

Our Deployment Engineers work to seamlessly integrate our robots, sensors, and software into a cutting-edge autonomous welding system. We are standing up a new Robot Learning team focused on whole-body loco-manipulation for precision tasks in heavy manufacturing.
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join us as a founding member. You will be among the first ML engineers on a research stack that does not exist anywhere else in the field built around visual reasoning, learned action policies, and reinforcement-learning fine-tuning from real customer data.
What You’ll Do
- Build the team's robot-learning stack from the ground up. This is a founding role; you are designing the training infrastructure, data pipelines, simulation environments, model architectures, and deployment workflows — not inheriting them. Multi-modal perception, scene understanding, and learned action generation work in tight coordination on the stack you help create.
- Stand up ML infrastructure — training pipelines, experiment tracking, data versioning, reproducible sim-to-real workflows.

Who You Are
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on robot learning experience. You have trained policies and deployed them on real robot hardware — not just in simulation.
- Sim-to-real transfer experience — built simulation environments, implemented domain randomisation, transferred policies to physical robots, debugged where it broke.
- Implementation experience with diffusion-based or flow-matching action policies for robots, and with action chunking.
- Reinforcement learning for robotics applied on real hardware — sample-efficient on-robot methods, residual RL on top of pretrained policies, on-policy fine-tuning of foundation policies.

We are building intelligent robotic systems that learn directly from data by combining neural world models with reinforcement learning. Our goal is to give robots the ability to learn, predict, and plan in complex manufacturing environments by replacing or augmenting classical physics simulators with fast, high-fidelity learned ones.
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of a neural welding simulator - a learned world model that captures the visual and physical dynamics of welding and enables large-scale RL training. This role sits at the intersection of generative modeling, robotics, and applied physics. It is research-heavy by design, while still grounded in production reality.
This role can be located in our Columbus, Ohio Headquarters or Remote.
What You’ll Do
- Build a learned world model of the welding process that predicts future system behavior under robot actions.
- Develop multimodal neural simulators incorporating signals such as 3D scans, video, thermal data, and electrical measurements.
- Design, train, and evaluate large-scale generative or dynamics models (e.g., video prediction, latent world models, 3D or spatiotemporal representations) capable of long-horizon rollouts.
- Collaborate with reinforcement learning engineers by integrating the neural simulator into RL pipelines for policy training and evaluation.
- Run research tracks in parallel with production development, including hypothesis-driven experimentation and ablation.
- Partner closely with data and MLOps teams to support scalable training, evaluation, and deployment - while remaining comfortable owning pieces of the stack when needed.
- Translate research prototypes into robust, maintainable production code when they prove valuable.
- Validate simulator performance against real-world robotic welding data and support sim-to-real transfer.

- Experience building and deploying ML systems for robotics or other complex physical processes in real-world settings.

We are standing up a new Robot Learning team focused on whole-body loco-manipulation for precision tasks in heavy manufacturing.
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Tech Lead) for this new team. You write code, set the technical direction, make the architectural decisions the team builds on, mentor junior and intermediate engineers, and help shape how the team works.
What You’ll Do
- Set the ML technical direction for the team, architectural choices on perception, reasoning, and action generation; training methodology; data strategy; the path from research bet to deployed capability. As one of the first senior hires, you are designing the approach, not extending it.
- Own the architectural workstreams that define the team's research and engineering bets — multiple core build streams across action-policy learning, world-model-based supervision, and policy-orchestration interfaces.
- Design hybrid physics-ML architectures for the integrated loco-manipulation stack. Manipulation, locomotion, and the whole-body control coupling between them are not separable on legged platforms; sub-millimetre continuous-trajectory precision at the tool requires the whole-body controller to compensate for base motion in real time. Today on fixed bases; tomorrow on mobile platforms. The integration is the hard problem; you own its design.
- Own the cross-functional partnerships with hardware teams, domain experts, customer-facing assurance standards, and upstream / downstream teams. Drive a phased deployment strategy that builds production trust over time.
- Mentor and shape the team, guide junior and intermediate ICs across software, ML, robotics, and perception backgrounds; establish code-quality standards, review practices, and engineering norms; help identify and attract next hires. You write code throughout — this is a tech-lead role, not a step away from the work.
Who You Are
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on robot learning experience. You have shipped sim-to-real policies on real robots, across different tasks or platforms.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship. You have made architectural decisions on robot learning systems that others built on, and you have meaningfully shaped the development of more-junior engineers as a tech lead. This can be in academia (leading a lab subgroup, advising students) or industry.
- Deep sim-to-real expertise — domain randomisation, system identification, teacher-student distillation, sim-to-online fine-tuning. You can design a transfer strategy for a novel problem.
- Full-stack robot learning — fluent across simulation construction, policy training, data collection, real-world deployment, and failure diagnosis.
- Physics-informed ML or hybrid control experience — PINNs, neural ODEs, MPC with learned dynamics, process-model-conditioned generation, or similar.
- A defensible view on visual-reasoning-centric substrates for grounded spatial / physical reasoning.
- Push-back willingness — you can defend a non-obvious architectural commitment under pressure, and change your mind on evidence.

This is a role for someone who takes ownership of their designs end to end: from schematic capture through layout, bring-up, and integration into a working system.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop PCBs for embedded control, power management, motor drive, and sensor interfacing in robotic systems
- Own designs from schematic capture through layout, fabrication, assembly, and hardware validation
- Specify and select components with attention to availability, cost, reliability, and fit within the broader electrical architecture
