This is a 6-month contractor role, with the potential to extend on a month-to-month basis. This role is fully remote, however your available working hours must overlap with London 9am - 6pm or New York 9am - 6pm.
Reachdesk is the first truly end-to-end SaaS global gifting and swag platform, helping B2B companies create meaningful connections with prospects, customers, and employees while driving measurable ROI.
We believe gifting is more than just a transaction. It is about building genuine human connections that fuel business growth. Whether engaging prospects, celebrating customers, or recognising employees, our platform makes it easy to deliver personalised gifts, branded swag, and memorable events and brand experiences at scale through automated sourcing, storage, and global delivery.
Trusted by many of the most recognised names in technology and SaaS, Reachdesk integrates seamlessly with marketing, sales, and HR tech stacks and is powered by a global team with hubs in New York, London, and Lisbon.
We are looking for an experienced contractor to support Reachdesk on a range of customs compliance projects across our global operations.
This is a hands-on, high-impact contract role for someone who can quickly assess risk, improve processes, work across multiple stakeholders, and help us strengthen the way we manage customs and cross-border trade compliance in practice. You will partner closely with teams across Operations, Logistics, Marketplace, Product, Legal, and Finance, as well as external brokers, carriers, and warehouse partners.
This role is best suited to someone who is practical, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving international environment.
Customs Compliance Projects
Support Reachdesk’s customs compliance work across import/export activity, customs documentation, product classification, valuation, country of origin, duties, and related operational controls.
Review existing customs processes and help design, improve, and document scalable compliance procedures.
Partner with internal teams and external logistics providers, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PLs to support compliant shipment flows and customs clearance.
Help investigate and resolve customs issues such as holds, clearance delays, documentation gaps, or shipment exceptions.
Assist with compliance for restricted items, sanctions-related considerations, and broader cross-border trade requirements where relevant.
Identify compliance risks within current and proposed operating models, and recommend practical mitigations.
Cross-Functional Support
Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Marketplace, Product, Legal, and Finance to embed customs compliance into day-to-day processes and project decisions.
Support project work connected to new shipping lanes, markets, warehouse flows, sourcing models, or operational changes.
Help create and maintain internal documentation, including SOPs, guidance notes, controls, process maps, and audit-ready records.
Provide clear, practical guidance to internal stakeholders on customs-related requirements and best practices.
Data, Controls, and Documentation
Support the maintenance and improvement of key customs-related data, including product classifications, origin information, shipment documentation standards, and related compliance records.
Help assess whether tools, automation, or systems changes could improve customs compliance workflows and reporting.
Assist with audit preparation, evidence gathering, remediation tracking, and general compliance project management where needed.
Significant experience in customs compliance, global trade compliance, import/export compliance, or a closely related cross-border trade role.
Strong working knowledge of customs requirements, import/export controls, HS classification, valuation, duties, origin, and international shipment documentation.
Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, 3PLs, or other logistics partners.
Comfortable operating in a project-based role where priorities may evolve and where you are expected to work independently.
Able to spot risks, solve problems pragmatically, and balance compliance requirements with commercial and operational realities.
Strong documentation and process-design skills, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear and workable procedures.
Confident working cross-functionally with legal, finance, operations, product, and external partners.
Experience in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, fulfilment, or other high-volume cross-border environments is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with VAT or indirect tax concepts is helpful, but this role is primarily focused on customs compliance projects.
6-month contractor engagement, with the potential to extend on a month-to-month basis.
Fully remote.
Open globally, provided you can reliably overlap with London or New York working hours.

We are looking to hire an ASIC Physical Design Engineer to help us design, test, and deploy advanced hardware. As part of our Ultra Low Latency team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with people in areas across the firm, including trading, networking, and research infrastructure.
This isn't a traditional PD role. We're a small team where everyone works across the chip design process, and we expect our PD engineers to lead with physical design expertise but think like chip designers. You should be comfortable owning a PD flow end-to-end, but also able to read and write RTL and reason about design decisions that cross the front-end/back-end boundary.
If you've spent your career exclusively in PD, this probably isn't the right fit— but if you've worked across the stack, either because you started as an RTL designer and moved into PD, or because you were on a smaller team where you had to wear multiple hats, we'd love to talk.
We're big believers in the ability of tools to improve the productivity, reliability, and day-to-day joy of hardware engineering. That's why we created Hardcaml, a hardware development toolchain embedded in OCaml. We don't expect you to know OCaml (we'll teach you here), but we are looking for hardware engineers who are excited about the advantages that better tools can bring, and are willing to try new things as a result.
If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to agency-partnerships@janestreet.com.

What We Do
At Leading Educators (LE), we know that excellent teaching is the most important driver of student success. The moment a student steps foot in the classroom, their opportunity to learn depends on how prepared their teacher is to translate complex content knowledge, standards, and their knowledge of that student into lessons that help them learn deeply and apply their thinking to the real world.
That’s a big lift, and it often happens alone. As a national nonprofit, we partner with school systems to overcome persistent instructional challenges, foster intentional collaboration and adult learning by design, and ignite new possibilities through systemic solutions at the intersection of teaching, talent, and technology.
We work shoulder-to-shoulder with educators at every level of the education system to strengthen their instructional and leadership practices, bring a vision for excellent instruction to life with consistency, and ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Through direct support, strategic advising, innovation pilots, and best-in-class research, we help educators work toward a future where every student is ready to thrive. Learn more about our work at leadingeducators.org.
Internal & External Candidate Application Deadline: Ongoing
Position
Leading Educators is seeking a Design and Coaching Specialist to drive measurable improvements in high school math instruction across New York City schools. In this dual-focused role, you'll combine school-based coaching with instructional design to ensure our programming translates directly into stronger teacher practice and student outcomes.
You'll provide direct coaching to teachers, teacher leaders, and school leaders while designing professional learning tools and resources tailored to each school's unique context and needs. Rather than treating design and coaching as separate functions, you'll integrate them seamlessly—using classroom observations, student work, and leadership data to inform both your coaching conversations and your professional learning designs. Your work will strengthen Professional Learning Communities, build distributed leadership, and create the conditions for sustainable instructional improvement at the school level.
Reporting to the Director of Implementation, Design, and Coaching, you'll work in close partnership to ensure that school-level implementation aligns with district priorities while remaining grounded in the realities of classroom practice. This is a role where your expertise, relationships, and commitment to excellence directly shape how students experience mathematics instruction.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Hiring
We use artificial intelligence–enabled tools throughout our hiring process, from the moment a candidate applies through the offer stage, to support administrative tasks and the initial review of candidate materials. These tools help us organize, analyze, and surface relevant information efficiently, but they do not make hiring decisions.
All candidate materials—including applications, resumes, assessments, and interview feedback—are reviewed and evaluated by people. All hiring decisions, including interview selection, advancement, and offers of employment, are made by humans.
We use AI solely as a support tool to assist with early-stage reviews and process efficiency. We do not use AI in ways that discriminate based on protected characteristics, nor do we use ZIP codes or similar data to target or exclude protected groups. Our hiring practices are designed to be fair, consistent, and aligned with equal employment opportunity standards.

When the Space Shuttle approached the International Space Station, two vehicles built by different teams, in different countries, with fundamentally different engineering philosophies and systems, had to connect perfectly. The Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) subsystems were engineered to handle complex mismatches such as different power systems, communication protocols, and technical architectures. Get it wrong, and you have an expensive and potentially catastrophic problem in low Earth orbit.
Mercury announced on December 19, 2025 that we submitted an application to the OCC for a national bank charter and applied for FDIC deposit insurance. In other words, Mercury is building a bank. As part of this work, we will be connecting our modern, product-focused engineering systems to enterprise core banking systems and payment networks built in a different era, with different assumptions and different interfaces. Mercury’s Banking Integration Platform as a Service team is like NASA’s RPOD team, building our integration subsystems that are technically correct and operationally trustworthy.
This is some of the most consequential infrastructure work at Mercury. Every account opening, every monetary transaction, and every balance call will flow through the systems you build. Product teams across the company will depend on clean abstractions that hide the complexity underneath. You'll be one of the few engineers at Mercury who truly understands the full depth of our Bank Core* and all its internal and external integrations.

The year is 1969. The location: Stuttgart, West Germany. Engineers are pacing with strained expressions. They are looking over the Porsche 917, the company's latest attempt at a race car. It's not working properly. The car is one of the most powerful ever built. But drivers describe it as terrifyingly unstable… "a monster". Despite this, Porsche runs it in Le Mans to disastrous results. One of the cars crashes on lap one, ending in tragedy for its driver. All other 917s break down in the race.
Enter John Wyer, a British race engineer, whom the factory calls upon for help. After a long day of testing, John recognizes a lack of smashed bugs on the rear wing and deduces that the wing is not working properly. The team modifies the design to be more upward swept and the 917K takes on a new winning character. It wins LeMans outright in 1970 and goes on to be the most successful race car design of the 70s. Stability, it turns out, was the missing ingredient.
Mercury prides itself in providing powerful banking* services. But if those services aren’t reliable, Mercury will fail. The Stability team exists to help product engineers see patterns of instability and remedy them. We champion and improve observability. We've helped define incident response. We have introduced and support robust background work processing. We monitor and build tooling around platform and database health. And with your help, we will explore how to make Mercury even more reliable.
