Job Summary

The Principal Applied AI Engineer will lead the development of internal AI capabilities that empower teams across Poppulo to work faster, smarter, and securely. • Incident Response / Management: Lead efforts in detecting, responding to, and recovering from security incidents, including having the technical aptitude to understand and own the incident (and all comms) and follow-up remediation and prioritization.

Candidate Requirements  

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:  

• A breadth of hands-on and senior leadership experience in security, engineering, or DevSecOps management.  

• In-depth understanding of security technologies such as intrusion detection, content filtering, threat patterns, security architecture, application architecture, and compliance criteria.  

• Thorough understanding of SDLC and Application Security Policies, Design and Documentation.  

• Experience with enforcing secure coding practices, threat modeling, identity and access management, and security incident response and recovery.   

• Deep knowledge of cloud security, network security, data protection, and security in a software development environment.   

• Thorough understanding of Risk Management principles (Risk Register and Cyber risks).  

• Fundamental understanding of Incident Management and Security and Cloud Operations.  

• Experience with ethical hacking, computer forensics, information assurance, and intrusion detection and prevention methodologies  

• Experience securing and navigating cloud platforms, such as Azure and AWS platforms.  

• Knowledge of security technologies (IDS, SIEM), cloud security monitoring technologies and the desire to remain technically hands-on, but also operate on a strategic level.  

• Deep knowledge of relevant security and compliance frameworks, standards, and regulations (such as SOC2, NIST, ISO270xx).   

• In-depth understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR and other relevant legislation in regional jurisdiction.   

• Deep expertise across security, privacy, audits, and legal security standards, guidelines, and principles within a large, highly distributed, complex global organization.   

• Able to effectively partner with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Cloud Operations, IT, Finance, Legal and HR to coordinate activities and accomplish goals.   

• Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.  

• Track record of building, growing, and maintaining high-performing security teams (US and India), driving transformation in a growth environment  

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science, Engineering or technical field.   

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in information security, with 5+ years in a leadership role.  

• Proven experience in application security, including secure coding practices, cloud operations, and vulnerability management.  

• In-depth knowledge of application security frameworks and best practices.  

• Proficiency with security tools such as static and dynamic analysis tools, vulnerability scanners, penn testing.  

• Hands-on experience with secure software development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.  

• Certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, OSCP or GSEC) preferred  

Position Overview: 

We are looking for a Director who can bridge the gap between high-level business outcomes and deep technical execution. You will lead our global CSM and Service Delivery teams, ensuring that our largest enterprise clients don’t just "use" our software, but fundamentally harden their security posture because of it.

This is a high-impact, hybrid leadership role. You will be responsible for the entire post-sales lifecycle - from the first mile of implementation to the long-term expansion of the account. Most importantly, you will be the Executive Technical Sponsor for our Tier-1 global accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic CISO Advisory: Lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) that skip the fluff. You must be capable of discussing threat actor trends, threat landscape reports, regulatory compliances, and risk mitigation strategies with C-suite stakeholders.
• Customer Success Management
• Unified Success Strategy: Design and execute a worldwide CSM playbook that prioritizes technical health, feature adoption, customer engagement, and gross/net retention.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and scale a world-class team of technically-inclined CSMs and Implementation Engineers.
• Reporting and Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of customer success initiatives and report on customer health and satisfaction. Lead and conduct business reviews.
• Global Service Delivery
• Manage the global service delivery team for all of CloudSEK’s service lines - Customer Onboarding, Product Support, Co-manage and Takedowns.
• Restructure/expand the team and implement standard ITSM processes to support CloudSEKs rapid global growth.
• Deliver key operational metrics for identifying areas of improvement and decision making.
• The Bridge: Act as the primary feedback loop between our largest customers and our Product/Engineering teams. You aren't just passing on "feature requests"; you are translating operational pain and customer business value into product requirements.

Requirements

• Cybersecurity Pedigree: 15+ years in the cybersecurity industry. You likely started in the SOC or security engineering, leading into customer facing consulting roles.
• The CISO Whisperer: Proven track record of holding "value conversations" with CISOs. You understand their world: budget constraints, board reporting, and the constant pressure of "not becoming a headline."
• Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of a variety of cybersecurity technologies and preferable in the External Digital Risk Protection and threat intelligence space.
• Service Delivery Leadership: Leadership experience in a high-growth SaaS environment, specifically managing both Success and Professional Services/Delivery.
• Operational Excellence: You live in the data. You know your NRR, GRR, and NPS/CSAT scores by heart and know which levers to pull to move them.
