You’d be a good fit with:

We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join team Aqueduct, a team building our data platform for powering large-scale cross-platform advertising. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team within our Infrastructure & Production group. DevOps Tooling & Developer Experience (Vulcan) spearheads our cloud developer experience, builds tools that build the tools and owns our big data platforms & pipelines.

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead the team who create the partner-facing Aiven platform. This role has a strong emphasis on customer engagement and satisfaction, and balances requirements from multiple stakeholders to deliver the best roadmap for our partners. Reporting to the Director of Partner Product & Engineering Management, you will be the pivotal link between our engineering teams and our partners, ensuring seamless delivery and fostering strong, collaborative relationships.

As the leader of the Partner Platform Development team, you will drive the technical execution of existing and complex new partner integrations, serving as the primary engine for our expansion. This role combines technical leadership with operational excellence; you will manage a pipeline of new region launches, service extensions, and critical platform upgrades while collaborating directly on the overall product roadmap.

What You’ll Do:

Customer management & communication

• Requirements gathering & communication: Collaborate with OEMs to gather detailed requirements, ensuring clear communication and alignment between partner expectations and engineering deliverables.
• Partner feedback & advocacy: Proactively solicit and analyze customer feedback, acting as an advocate for OEM needs within the engineering organization.
• Regular status updates & reporting: Provide regular status updates to OEMs, including project progress, milestones, and potential risks, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution.

Engineering Resource Management & Optimization

• Resource allocation & capacity planning: Effectively allocate engineering resources across projects and initiatives, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with OEM delivery priorities.
• Team structure & skill development: Assess and optimize the team structure, identifying skill gaps and implementing training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.
• Performance management & motivation: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive and motivating work environment to maximize team productivity.

Delivery Execution & Process Improvement

• Project planning & execution: Lead the planning and execution of OEM-focused engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Delivery orchestration: Orchestrate and coordinate deliveries across OEM partners and product domains (e.g., Streaming, Database Engines, Platform), ensuring seamless integration, and alignment with OEM requirements.
• Delivery process optimization: Continuously analyze and improve delivery processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Risk management & mitigation: Proactively identify and assess potential risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure on-time deliveries.

Team Leadership & Development

• Technical decision making: Foster a culture of technical decision-making within the team, empowering engineers to contribute their expertise and insights. Provide clear guidance and make final decisions when necessary, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Psychological safety: Cultivate a psychologically safe environment where team members feel comfortable taking risks, sharing ideas, and providing open and honest feedback.
• Talent acquisition: Actively seek and recruit high-potential engineering talent to strengthen the team's capabilities and drive innovation.
• Interviewing & onboarding: Lead managerial interviews for engineering candidates, and train the team on effective technical interviewing techniques. Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure new hires are quickly integrated and productive.

The Health Intelligence team operates within the HealthOS mission, enabling other teams to efficiently deliver personalized solutions that help members build sustainable, empowered relationships with their health. We’re at the forefront of integrating Generative AI and LLMs into the Oura experience, transforming how members interact with and learn from their data.

Our team builds both member‑facing intelligence (e.g. guidance, insights, companion‑like experiences like Oura Advisor) and the platform foundations that power them: modular components, shared libraries, and clear APIs that let other teams plug into HealthOS capabilities quickly and safely. We are now looking for a Senior / Staff Product Manager to join this team in Helsinki or Oulu, Finland, helping to define and ship the next generation of health intelligence experiences. We are open to hiring at Senior or Staff level, depending on experience. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant scope and visibility. You will work closely with product and executive leadership on the strategy for Oura’s intelligent health companion, and you will often be the person connecting company-level goals to concrete roadmaps.

• Shape the vision for Oura’s intelligent health companion: Define and evolve a product vision for how Oura creates deeply personalized, trustworthy and actionable health experiences for millions of members. Bring to life frameworks that combine models, UX, content and behavioral insight into experiences that feel truly empathetic and human.
• Own outcomes across both experience and platform layers: Drive a roadmap that balances delightful member-facing features with robust, scalable platform capabilities (APIs, shared services, data, and AI building blocks) for other teams.

• Measure impact and learn fast: Define success metrics, instrumentation needs, and experimentation plans for Health Intelligence features. Use data and member feedback to iterate rapidly and continuously improve.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

• Product Experience: 7+ years of Product Management experience in consumer technology or AI-first products, with a proven track record of shipping successful products at scale in high-bar product cultures.
• Production (Gen)AI Experience: You have shipped LLM features or Agents in a live, high-traffic production environment. You have hands-on experience with prompt engineering, interaction design, and managing the cost/performance implications of AI at scale.
• Technical Authority: You possess deep technical literacy, ideally stemming from a background in engineering or data science. You understand the specific constraints of shipping GenAI at scale (latency, token costs, context windows, RAG architectures) and can lead technical roadmap discussions on API design and platform modularity. You bridge the gap between abstract product needs and concrete engineering specifications.
• Strategic Planning: Ability to work backwards from a desired solution and timing, creating clear specs and roadmaps that drive alignment.
• Drive internal adoption of Health Intelligence capabilities: Work closely with other product teams to identify the highest value integration points, shape reusable patterns and ensure that the platform is well documented, understood and reliably supports their roadmaps.
