The Role:

As an Enterprise Account Executive for the AMER region, you will drive strategic growth by acquiring new enterprise customers and expanding relationships within our existing large accounts (>$500M revenue). This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role focused on new logo acquisition, growing usage over baseline, and increasing customer commitments in one of Aiven’s most important markets.

In this role, you will engage C-level and senior stakeholders across both technical and business functions (e.g. CTO, CIO, VP Engineering, Head of Product). • Expand Strategic Accounts: Grow revenue within existing enterprise customers by uncovering new use cases, upselling additional Aiven services, and increasing commitments beyond baseline usage. Develop strategic account and demand plans to maximize value for both the client and Aiven.

• MEDDPICC Sales Process: Rigorously qualify opportunities using the MEDDPICC framework to ensure a high-quality pipeline. Accurately forecast and execute on quarterly and annual sales plans. Manage complex sales cycles with a disciplined, metrics-driven approach to qualification, value demonstration, and closing deals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing to generate pipeline, and partner with Solution Architects on technical validation and solution design for customers. Work closely with Product and Engineering to incorporate customer feedback, align on roadmap priorities, and ensure technical validation for complex solution designs. 
• Market Insight & Strategy: Stay informed on industry trends in cloud, data infrastructure, and the AMER enterprise market. Provide feedback to Aiven’s product and leadership teams on customer needs and competitive insights. Represent Aiven at regional industry events and conferences to build brand awareness as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Enterprise Sales Excellence: 5 to 10+ years of success in enterprise SaaS or cloud infrastructure sales, selling complex technical solutions to large organizations. A proven track record of overachievement against multimillion-dollar targets is required (e.g. President’s Club or top 10% performer).

Drive New Logo Acquisition:

• Lead the full sales cycle from initial prospecting and discovery through technical validation, negotiation, and closing.

Execute Strategic Prospecting:

• Build trusted relationships with Directors and VPs in Engineering, Platform, DevOps, and Data organizations.

• Rigorously qualify all opportunities using the MEDDPICC framework to ensure high-quality pipeline.

• Accurately forecast with 85%+ commit accuracy and execute on quarterly sales plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

• Partner closely with Solution Architects on technical validation and proof-of-concept management for qualified opportunities.

Territory Planning & Market Insight:

• Represent Aiven at regional industry events and conferences to build network and generate pipeline.

Exceed Targets: 

• Consistently meet and exceed your sales quotas and KPIs. 
• Take full ownership of your territory and accounts, maintaining minimum 4:1 pipeline coverage ratio and balanced quarterly performance to deliver results.

Commercial Sales Excellence: 

• 3-5 years of success in commercial or mid-market B2B SaaS sales, selling complex technical solutions to scaling technology companies. 
• Proven track record of 100% self-sourced pipeline generation with consistent quota attainment of 90-100%+ against multimillion-dollar targets (e.g., President's Club or top 20% performer).

Self-Sufficient Hunter: 

• Demonstrated ability to generate $5M-$8M in annual qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting across multiple channels without SDR support. 
• Experience closing 6-12 new logos annually with $100K-$300K ACV deal sizes and 60-160 day sales cycles. 
• Strong prospecting skills with ability to maintain 50+ weekly touches and convert outreach to meetings at 10-15% rates.

The Role

As the Global Events Manager, you are the lead producer of Aiven’s physical and virtual brand experience. You don't just book booths; you architect high-impact environments that cut through the noise of the industry. You are a master of high-velocity project management, capable of juggling a diverse portfolio from large 3rd party conferences (AWS re:Invent, Kafka Summit) to intimate 1st party Aiven-hosted events (Customer Advisory Boards, User Roadshows, Annual Sales Kick-off). We are looking for a high-agency, creative powerhouse who will dive deep into Aiven’s value proposition and personas to ensure every event is perfectly aligned with our audience. You are a natural brand ambassador, as comfortable managing a construction vendor as you are welcoming a CTO to our lounge.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of Aiven’s global event portfolio, encompassing 3rd party industry trade shows and 1st party proprietary programs.
• Own the "Aiven Experience" for our internal and external 1st party events, including Customer Advisory Boards (CABs), Aiven’s User Conference, localized Community Roadshows and our Annual Employee Kick-off.

At Aiven, all of our emails relating to recruitment come from an @aiven.io, @greenhouse.io or @eu.greenhouse.io domain and all of our interviews are conducted by video call or in person.  Our interviews will never occur via text or chat.
