Senior Data Engineer
This role will serve as core member of a data engineering team assigned to one of WPP’s major global clients, who will be maintaining and expanding upon a global data warehouse, automated reports, and data provisioning applications to ensure that media and marketing stakeholders the world will have access to the right data and insights to inform their marketing decisions.
WPP has developed the Measure platform, a stack of standardized technologies (Adverity for collection, DBT for modelling, Google Cloud Platform for orchestration, computing, and storage, and Microsoft PowerBI for visualization) and templates to speed the deployment and simplify support for automated reporting and analytics tools.
The team’s primary responsibility is to build and maintain a global Measure-based reporting solution, leveraging existing templates where applicable and building custom collectors, data models, cloud architectures, and/or visualizations when required. The team will automate the collection and transformation of disparate marketing data into a single source of truth, continually improving it to incorporate new data sources, and to derive new insights, to support ever-evolving business demands.
As an Senior Data Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include deploying and troubleshooting standardized Adverity data collection templates, QAing landed versus source data using self-developed scripts and manual processes, gathering platform and ad account parameters from upstream stakeholders, working within and contributing to the team building the data warehousing solution, adhering to technical standards and best practices, and contributing to the documentation of custom work.
In doing so you will exhibit a foundational understanding of cloud technology and key data engineering skills and knowledge to help your team in this fast-evolving and in-demand industry.

What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end BI and analytics solutions in the Google Cloud environment, primarily using BigQuery, dbt, and Looker, across the full lifecycle: data transformation, modeling, testing, and production deployment.

· Strong SQL with hands-on BigQuery experience, including optimizing complex queries and data processing.
· Experience designing analytics data models/layers and working with large, event-level datasets.
· Proficient in BI and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and building stakeholder-facing dashboards.
· Proven ability to define/track KPIs, translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis, and communicate insights clearly.
· Interest or experience in building data foundations for AI-driven and self-service analytics; Python is a plus.

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated squad responsible for data products serving the Finance organization, working closely with Finance stakeholders to design and deliver data products that support operational financial capabilities, book closing processes, regulatory reporting, and analytical needs.
You will lead the data product lifecycle end-to-end - from understanding business and regulatory challenges, defining analytical and operational needs, through designing scalable data models and assets, to delivering high-quality data products that empower the Finance organization.
As part of a globally distributed Finance Data Squad, you will collaborate closely with team members across multiple locations worldwide, as well as with the BI developers based alongside you in India. This role is ideal for a product-minded, business-oriented data person who is both strategic and hands-on, and who thrives on connecting complex financial business goals with technical execution.

Purpose of the role
The WFM Senior Schedule Planner (Senior SP)/ Schedule Planner operates as senior level role within CEG’s WFM Schedule Planning team, with responsibilities in creating and publishing accurate agent and Team Manager schedules.
The Senior SP/Schedule Planner will organize schedules to optimize balanced SLA delivery and comply with legal and operations constraints. This role also has responsibilities in BAU schedule activities, such as shift assignment, training, meeting and coaching as well as JIRA ticket requests, for agent pull-out. This role is also a ‘subject matter expert’ in Verint setup and maintain Verint profile.
As a senior role in the schedule planning team, the senior SP/Schedule Planner is a support to the WFM management team. The senior SP also provide coaching to team members, as well as leading projects and task.

The Engineering department oversees all Agoda’s ML and software related requirements. Our goal is to enable and increase Agoda’s business through creative approaches and the implementation of powerful resources such as operational and analytical databases, ML driven solutions, queue systems and data monitoring tools. The role the engineering team plays at Agoda is critical as business users, product managers, and many others rely on us to empower their decision making. We are equally dedicated to our customers by improving their search experience with faster results and protecting them from any fraudulent activities. Data is interesting only when you have enough of it, and we have plenty. This is what drives up the challenge as part of the ML engineering squad, but also the reward. We work across structured and non-structured data at scale. For example, our current ML models process millions of images every day to try and enhance the experience that our users get from our app.
Why Agoda Engineering Team (ML role)?
Our engineering teams are at the intersection of business analytics, ml engineering, data warehousing and software engineering. Our job involves dealing with distributed systems, stream processing, ml modeling and computation at tens of PB Scale. We focus on software engineering related to data replication, storage, centralized computation, and Data API’s. By providing our users with ML products/tools, shared frameworks, and ML services, we enable our company to validate strategic decisions, make smarter choices, and react to the fast-changing world. We are a small but passionate team with people from different nationalities working together on a single goal.
This role is based in Gurgaon, India.
In this Role, you will get to:
• Lead the team technically in improving scalability, stability, accuracy, speed and efficiency of our existing ML systems and processes.
• Build, administer and scale ML processing pipelines.
• Be comfortable navigating the following technology stack: Python3, Pyspark, scripting (Bash/Python), Hadoop, SQL, S3 etc.
• Should be able to understand internals of ML models such as Random Forest, CNN, Regression models, etc
• Design, build, test and deploy new libraries, frameworks or full systems for our core systems while keeping to the highest standards of testing and code quality.
• Work with experienced engineers and product owners to identify and build tools to automate many large-scale data management / analysis tasks.
• We believe in end-to-end ownership; this role will involve taking ML models to production at a scale.
What You’ll need to Succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science /information systems/engineering/related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 4+ years in ML
• Good experience in Pyspark
• Expert level understanding of Python with design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Experience debugging and reasoning about production issues is desirable.
• A good understanding of data architecture principles preferred.
• Any other experience with Big Data technologies / tools
• SQL experience
• Analytical problem-solving capabilities & experience.
• Systems administration skills in Linux
• A strong engineering driven mindset will be required to succeed in this role.

This role will serve as core member of a data engineering team assigned to one of WPP’s major global clients, who will be maintaining and expanding upon a global data warehouse, automated reports, and data provisioning applications to ensure that media and marketing stakeholders the world will have access to the right data and insights to inform their marketing decisions.
WPP has developed the Measure platform, a stack of standardized technologies (Adverity for collection, DBT for modelling, Google Cloud Platform for orchestration, computing, and storage, and Microsoft PowerBI for visualization) and templates to speed the deployment and simplify support for automated reporting and analytics tools.
The team’s primary responsibility is to build and maintain a global Measure-based reporting solution, leveraging existing templates where applicable and building custom collectors, data models, cloud architectures, and/or visualizations when required. The team will automate the collection and transformation of disparate marketing data into a single source of truth, continually improving it to incorporate new data sources, and to derive new insights, to support ever-evolving business demands.
As an Senior Data Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include deploying and troubleshooting standardized Adverity data collection templates, QAing landed versus source data using self-developed scripts and manual processes, gathering platform and ad account parameters from upstream stakeholders, working within and contributing to the team building the data warehousing solution, adhering to technical standards and best practices, and contributing to the documentation of custom work.
In doing so you will exhibit a foundational understanding of cloud technology and key data engineering skills and knowledge to help your team in this fast-evolving and in-demand industry.
