The Global Service Delivery (GSD) team is responsible for Agoda's office infrastructure and staff connectivity. We provide the hardware, software, and access to resources that allows staff to achieve their goals. Whether in the office, working remotely, or traveling, we enable everyone to stay connected. The GSD team uses state-of-the-art cloud management technologies combined with the best of on-site services to manage the latest hardware running Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The Opportunity

We are looking for candidates with a passion for corporate technology and experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our team in Bangkok. This role offers excellent growth opportunities in a multicultural environment. 

Responsibilities:

- Support business access requirements on multiple systems. 

- Resolve day-to-day issues assigned to the GSD Operations team. 

- Design, implement, and manage user access controls and permissions. 

- Oversee the user provisioning lifecycle in the company 

- Automate identity and roles provisioning and de-provisioning processes. 

- Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) models. 

- Provide support and troubleshooting for requests received via ServiceDesk, ensuring all requests are completed within the agreed SLA. 

- Take on long-term projects in addition to daily tasks, allowing for growth and development. 

- Make quick decisions, implement standards, and best practices to improve support processes. 

Requirements:

- Fluent in English. 

- Enthusiastic team player. 

- Critical thinker – likes to challenge and ask questions 

- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Helpdesk, IT Operations support, or as an IAM Analyst. 

- Background in “no code” automations and working with APIs. 

- Solid knowledge of SQL Database Server and query commands. 

- Good knowledge of Okta or similar Identity Providers (IDP). 

- Good knowledge of Active Directory management tools, Exchange, and SharePoint. 

- Good knowledge of Azure AD, Exchange Online, or Microsoft Office 365. 

- Customer service-minded with great communication and interpersonal skills.

The Data department oversees Agoda’s data-related platform and infrastructure capabilities, enabling the company to make better decisions and operate reliably at scale. Our goal is to empower teams across Agoda through resilient, secure, and high-performing systems that support development, deployment, and operations across a complex technology landscape. 

Within the department, the platform engineering team is responsible for building and operating critical infrastructure that powers Agoda’s private cloud environment. This includes large-scale Kubernetes platforms across multiple data centers, continuous delivery capabilities, service-to-service connectivity, observability, secrets management, and foundational security controls. We work closely with engineering, security, and infrastructure partners to ensure our platforms are secure, scalable, and easy to use. 

As Agoda continues to evolve its platform capabilities, we are also expanding our focus to Platform Identity Access Management (PIAM) — a strategic initiative that will strengthen authentication and authorization across Kubernetes, virtual machines, bare metal servers, laptops, and mobile devices. This work will play a key role in improving platform security, compliance, and operational consistency across the organization. 

The Opportunity 

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will drive the architecture, implementation, and operational excellence of Agoda’s private cloud platform while leading strategic initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, security, and delivery velocity across the Data department. 

This role is ideal for a highly experienced and deeply hands-on platform engineering leader who thrives on solving complex distributed systems challenges at scale. You will provide technical leadership across large multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, improve deployment and observability capabilities, strengthen secrets and key management practices, and lead Agoda’s Platform Identity Access Management (PIAM) initiative from early architecture through implementation. 

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant technical ownership. While you will influence engineering standards and support other engineers, the role is strongly execution-focused and requires substantial hands-on contribution in design, coding, automation, and operational problem solving. 

You will work closely with developers, platform teams, security stakeholders, and engineering leaders to shape the future of Agoda’s infrastructure platform and enable teams to build and operate securely and efficiently. 

In This Role, You’ll Get To 

• Design, lead, and evolve Agoda’s private cloud platform architecture across multiple data centers, with a strong focus on scalability, resilience, performance, and operational excellence. 

• Lead the operation and continuous improvement of large-scale Kubernetes environments spanning multiple clusters and regions. 

• Drive architectural decisions around cluster networking, service communication, and platform reliability in high-demand distributed environments. 

• Contribute directly to the implementation of platform capabilities through hands-on coding, automation, and system design. 

• Improve continuous delivery and deployment capabilities to enable reliable, low-friction software releases from source control to production. 

• Support and enhance progressive delivery practices such as canary rollouts, deployment health monitoring, and uptime protection. 

• Lead the adoption and evolution of service mesh capabilities, including traffic management, service connectivity, and platform observability. 

• Define and improve secrets and key management practices using platforms such as HashiCorp Vault, AWS SSM, and KMS, ensuring strong security and audit readiness. 

• Drive compliance-aligned infrastructure capabilities to support internal controls, audit requirements, and future financial-grade security expectations. 

• Lead the design and execution of Agoda’s Platform Identity Access Management (PIAM) initiative, expanding identity and access controls beyond Kubernetes to cover VMs, bare metal infrastructure, laptops, mobile devices, and other platform connections. 

• Partner with security, infrastructure, and engineering stakeholders to gather requirements, define architecture, and develop a roadmap for PIAM implementation. 

• Solve complex technical challenges across platform engineering, infrastructure automation, distributed systems, security, and reliability. 

• Set a high technical bar through strong engineering judgment, code quality, system design, and operational excellence. 

• Capture, document, and share best practices to improve platform consistency, maintainability, and engineering effectiveness. 

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

• Extensive experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or DevOps roles in large-scale production environments. 

• Proven experience in senior, staff, principal, or equivalent technical leadership roles with significant system ownership and architectural responsibility. 

• Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and containerized platforms, including operating multi-cluster or multi-region environments at scale. 

• Strong software engineering ability with hands-on coding experience in Golang; proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting is also highly valuable. 

• Proven ability to design, build, and operate robust platform systems through code, not only through architecture or coordination. 

• Strong experience designing, building, and operating complex distributed systems with high reliability and performance requirements. 

• Strong understanding of networking, service-to-service communication, and infrastructure architecture in large distributed environments. 

• Experience leading and improving continuous delivery / CI/CD capabilities and deployment workflows for engineering organizations. 

• Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, and a solid understanding of traffic management and platform observability patterns.

The Opportunity:

DevOps Engineering team is tasked with creating automation into the Software Development Lifecycle concerning all Agoda’s R&D. What you'll Need to Succeed:

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior/Staff Data Platform Engineer (BI Infra DBA) to lead the technical direction and operations of our analytics database and BI platforms (StarRocks as the primary analytics engine, Vertica, SQL Server DW, visualization backends, and related services). You will: 

• Own critical database and BI infrastructure end‑to‑end — architecture, performance, reliability, and security. 

• Lead multi‑team initiatives such as expanding StarRocks adoption and leading sql server datawarehouse migration, and major upgrades of visualization/BI tools. 

• Set engineering and operational standards for how we design, deploy, and monitor our BI data platforms, acting as the technical point of contact for BI‑Infra DBA 

What You’ll Do:

• Design and evolve Agoda’s BI data warehouse architecture across SQL Server DW, Vertica, StarRocks, and related services, focusing on availability, scalability, and cost efficiency. 

• Lead migration and modernization projects such as: 

  • Migrating workloads off MSSQL DW to more sustainable platforms (Production standby, data lake, StarRocks, etc.). 

  • Decommissioning legacy components as part of the long‑term DW strategy. 

• Define and implement data and query engine standards (indexing/partitioning patterns, materialized views, retention strategies, governance and access patterns) for BI platforms. 

• Define SLIs/SLOs for key services (StarRocks, Vertica, Tableau, Superset/Metabase, MSSQL DW) and ensure they are instrumented, monitored, and reviewed regularly. 

• Lead incident response for BI‑Infra DBA‑owned platforms: diagnose cross‑system issues (Query Engine - Database, VIz tools, Compute, Storage, Network), post‑mortem/root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up improvements. 

• Partner with BI‑Infra Ops/Dev/Viz and DBDev/DBOps on end‑to‑end reliability — from ingestion pipelines to visualization queries and user traffic patterns. 

• Perform deep query and workload tuning for high‑impact systems (e.g., finance, supply, whitelabel analytics, experimentation, DQ), reducing CPU/memory/IO and improving latency at scale. 

• Optimize resource consumption and license/capacity planning for Query Engine – Database and BI tools. 

• Collaborate with infra and product teams to evaluate and adopt new query engines / database technologies where they materially improve reliability, performance, or cost. 

• Own upgrade and patching strategies for database and BI stacks (OS, engine, drivers), using canary/blue‑green and rollback plans to minimize downtime. 

• Improve and extend CI/CD and deployment automation for database objects, jobs, and configuration (GitLab, AWX/Ansible, ArgoCD, etc.). 

• Build and maintain observability for BI-Infra DBA services (Grafana, Prometheus/SLO dashboards, alerting, Hedwig/NOC integrations) to detect and act on issues proactively. 

• Implement and maintain secure access patterns for DW and BI platforms (service accounts, RBAC, gMSA, password rotation, SSO/OKTA integration, DR strategy). 

• Partner with security and data governance teams to remediate vulnerabilities within SLAs, enforce data residency constraints, and ensure that upcoming workloads (e.g., whitelabels) are compliant by design. 

• Act as technical lead for BI‑Infra DBA initiatives, collaborating closely with BI‑Infra Ops/Dev/Viz, Database Operation/Development, Infra, and BI product teams. 

• Mentor and coach junior engineers on database performance, reliability, and platform engineering best practices; help raise the bar for design reviews, runbooks, and incident hygiene. 

• Contribute to knowledge sharing - Documents [Confluence, Agoda Internal Document Framework], internal talks, runbooks and help shape the technical roadmap for BI‑Infra DBA. 

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering / database engineering / DBA / platform engineering, with at least several years owning production OLAP/BI databases at scale. 

• Strong expertise with StarRocks (or similar modern MPP / columnar systems such as Vertica, ClickHouse, Presto/Trino, Druid, Doris, Impala) and solid SQL Server experience, including: 

  • Query execution internals and tuning (plans, statistics, partitioning, indexing, materialized views). 

  • Capacity planning, storage layout, and backup/restore. 

• Proven experience operating mission‑critical database or BI services in production: 

  • On‑call incident response, debugging across layers, and post‑mortem/root‑cause analysis. 

  • Designing and maintaining SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and alerting for latency/availability/error budgets.

The Opportunity:

As BI Manager, you will lead a new scrum team dedicated to supporting the B2B entity. Your team will own the end-to-end process of designing, building, and operating the B2B data lake and its associated data products, enabling financial reporting, operational analytics, and data-driven decision making across the organization. You will partner closely with Finance, Planning, Revenue Operations, Data Engineering, and Analytics stakeholders to ensure that data is discoverable, auditable, performant, and fully aligned with organizational and financial reporting requirements.

• Own the full lifecycle for the data lake: ingestion, storage, cataloging, transformation, validation, and access provisioning.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years experience building and operating data platforms, data lakes, or large-scale data pipelines; 3+ years in a leadership or engineering lead role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java) for ETL/ELT development and data validation.

DevOps Engineering team is tasked with creating automation into the Software Development Lifecycle concerning all Agoda’s R&D. Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands on Identity Security Engineer to design, build, and operate Okta platform. This role owns the implementation and evolution of Okta Identity Governance, lifecycle automation, and identity centric security controls across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Okta Identity Governance (OIG) & Lifecycle: Design and deploy Okta Identity Governance modules, including Access Requests, Certifications, and Entitlement Management.
• Develop and maintain custom workflows and policies within Okta IGA to enforce Segregation of Duties (SOD) rules during provisioning and access requests
• Design access certification campaigns and remediation workflows to satisfy audit requirements.
• Okta Platform Engineering: Manage Okta organization architecture (Groups, Rules, Policies) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) to ensure version control and reduce drift.
• Build and maintain Okta Workflows for lifecycle automation, custom notifications, and advanced logic beyond native features. Implement and enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) policies, Risk-Based Authentication, and Global Session Policies.
• Automation & Integration: Develop automation using Okta APIs, Event Hooks, and Workflows. Integrate Okta OIG with downstream applications for seamless provisioning.
• Partner with Detection Engineering to ingest Okta System Logs into the SIEM for threat monitoring.

As DBA, you will have a big challenge & opportunity to help define, standardized and provide best practice of SQL administration including setup, migration, monitoring, high availability and performance tuning.

In This Role, You’ll Get to

• Proactive monitoring to detect unusual behavior on production database by creating automation & visibility i.e. high query resource usage, unusual database traffic, database server capacity, etc. and coordinate with Engineering team to optimize it before it becomes to be big incident.
• Research and implement automation tool to help reduce human time on daily basis i.e. Installation and upgrade tool, Database deployment tool, Anomaly Detection, etc.
• Setup, migrate and re-architect Agoda production database to support business growth.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure team to planned or unplanned maintenance.

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

• Experience in 24×7 OLTP transactional of MS SQL Server administration.
• Good knowledge of SQL query, Optimizer and Execution plan

• At least 2–4 years of experience in a technology role, preferably within a security or resilience environment

Get to Know our Team: In Agoda’s Back End Engineering department, we build the scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs that host our core business logic. Our systems cover all major areas of our business: inventory and pricing, product information, customer data, communications, partner data, booking systems, payments, and more. These mission-critical systems change frequently with dozens of releases per day, so we must employ state-of-the-art CI/CD and testing techniques in order to make sure everything works without any downtime. We also ensure that our systems are self-healing, responding gracefully to extreme loads or unexpected input. In order to accomplish this, we use state-of-the-art languages like Scala and Go, data technologies like Kafka and Aerospike, and agile development practices. The Opportunity: As a senior lead/principal engineer at Agoda, you will drive the technological evolution of our front-end systems. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing user interfaces that enhance the user experience for millions of travelers worldwide. This position requires a deep understanding of back-end development principles, a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences, and expertise in various back-end technologies.

What you’ll Need to Succeed: 

• Overall experience of 10+ years in engineering roles
• Proven hands-on experience with owning production services with significant impact on design, development, deployment, monitoring & evolution
• Curiosity, staying updated on technological improvements and open source advancement. 
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Kotlin, Scala, Java, C#.  
• Can perform deep research & take decisions on complex projects. Can easily toggle between running as a lone wolf and also works great as part of a pack
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details to stakeholders at all levels.  
• On top of being an expert in BE, has understanding of challenges and trade-offs in the entire engineering universe, from FE/Mobile to Data 7 analytics
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• A Master's or Ph.D. in a technical field
• Experience with Kubernetes for effective container orchestration and scaling 
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and practices relevant to machine learning.

Why Agoda Engineering Team (ML role)?
Our engineering teams are at the intersection of business analytics, ml engineering, data warehousing and software engineering. Our job involves dealing with distributed systems, stream processing, ml modeling and computation at tens of PB Scale. We focus on software engineering related to data replication, storage, centralized computation, and Data API’s. By providing our users with ML products/tools, shared frameworks, and ML services, we enable our company to validate strategic decisions, make smarter choices, and react to the fast-changing world. In this Role, you will get to:

• Lead the team technically in improving scalability, stability, accuracy, speed and efficiency of our existing ML systems and processes.
  Build, administer and scale ML processing pipelines.
• Be comfortable navigating the following technology stack: Python3, Scala Spark, scripting (Bash/Python), Hadoop, SQL, S3 etc.
• Should be able to understand internals of ML models such as LightGBM, Random Forest, CNN, Regression models, etc
• Design, build, test and deploy new libraries, frameworks or full systems for our core systems while keeping to the highest standards of testing and code quality.
• Work with experienced engineers and product owners to identify and build tools to automate many large-scale data management / analysis tasks.
• We believe in end-to-end ownership; this role will involve taking and building systems that enable us to deliver ML models to production at a scale.

What You’ll need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science /information systems/engineering/related field
  6+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 4+ years in ML
• Expert in SQL, Python3, and JVM based programming language – ie, Java or Scala
• Expert in software design/design patterns, functional programming and object-oriented programming.
• Analytical problem-solving capabilities & experience.
  A strong engineering driven mindset will be required to succeed in this role.

It’s great if you have:

• Good understanding of Hadoop ecosystems and Big Data architecture and techologies
• Experience working with Open-source products
• Experience with Scala development
• Working in an agile environment using test driven methodologies
