ABOUT THE INDIA SCHOOLS TEAM
In line with our focus to reach the underserved, we partner with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by enabling teachers and students to optimally utilize the tools and resources on the Khan Academy platform. From our government partnerships, we have reached 2 million learners this last year, partnering with 65,000+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in five years.
The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. Specifically, the team supports teachers and administrators through training and resources, and enabling peer-to-peer sharing. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Khan Academy India is looking for a passionate individual to join our growing Schools Team as a Project Lead consultant to support our programme with the school education department in Telangana. The role will be based in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Khan Academy programme in the state, in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Telangana. You will also work closely with Khan Academy India’s Content team, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams to ensure high-quality implementation of our programme.
Please note that is a contract-based role (12-months contract, subject to extension).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support programme implementation: Work with Department of School Education, Telangana and the state nodal officer to help support the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Telangana.
- Take ownership of work streams and deliver on the pre-agreed goals
- Deliver and support in delivering training to education officials (Khan Academy program mentors/administrative cadre) and teachers on a regular basis.
- Follow up on training implementation and unearth insights and challenges to strengthen the program for all teachers continuously.
- Manage relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials which include nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and school stakeholders.
- Gather data-backed insights: Assist the program and partners throughout the implementation to take the right decisions based on data-backed insights.
- Regularly conduct field visits(3-4/week) and have regular touchpoints with the officers and teachers to generate insights from the schools that will help the Khan Academy team identify strategic levers to increase adoption and deepen usage of Khan Academy.
- Manage knowledge effectively: Ensure that all state discussions are documented in a standard format and keep key stakeholders (internal and external) in the loop.
- Build our learning muscle by analyzing qualitative feedback from the state systems
- Collaborate with the rest of the teams at Khan Academy India to ensure timely and successful delivery of our program and services.
- Provide any other support, as needed, for the programme.
ABOUT YOU
You would be a great fit for the role if you are:
- Someone with 5+ yrs of relevant work experience. Having been an educator or having worked with government schools in Telangana is an added advantage.
Fluent in English and Telugu (reading, speaking and writing)
- Someone with a strong collaborative mindset with an ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
- Able to navigate through complex situations comfortably and make informed decisions aligned with the shared goals between partners and Khan Academy.
- Someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Someone with an excellent ability to document information from multiple sources and present it in a consumable format for others in English and Telugu.
- Comfortable working with data – you are skilled at working with large volumes of data, identifying trends, and drawing evidence-based conclusions. You are equally comfortable analyzing qualitative insights and adjusting partnership plans accordingly.
- A great communicator – you can address different audiences using audience-appropriate language to communicate clearly and efficiently in multiple formats, including email, written documents, digital presentations, and verbal conversations.
- A quick learner – you immerse yourself in new problems and quickly get up to speed.
- Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, including a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias toward action.

Comfortable being based out of Hyderabad and traveling regularly across different schools in the state of Telangana.

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager, Revenue to lead key accounting operations, ensure the integrity of our financial reporting processes, and manage a high-performing team. This role will oversee the full cycle order-to-cash process, revenue recognition under ASC 606, month-end close, and preparation of audit-ready financial documentation. The ideal candidate brings strong GAAP expertise, progressive accounting experience, and a proactive, process-improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management
- Directly manage and develop accounting staff, including hiring, on boarding, training, and performance management.
- Provide clear goals, regular feedback, and professional development to support team members.
- Review team deliverables for accuracy and completeness, ensuring high-quality output.
Revenue Recognition & Technical Accounting
- Lead and oversee revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, including contract review, performance obligation assessment, and revenue allocation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Philanthropy to review contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation for revenue recognition conclusions.
Monitor and implement updates to accounting standards and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Order-to-Cash (O2C) Oversight
- Manage the full cycle order-to-cash process, including billing, cash application, accounts receivable, collections, and revenue reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing aligned with contractual terms and funding agreements.
- Oversee AR aging, allowance analysis, and bad debt provisioning.
- Evaluate and enhance O2C workflows, systems, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Close, Reconciliations & Audit Support
- Lead key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare audit-ready reconciliations and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and clear audit trails.
- Serve as a primary contact for external auditors for revenue, receivables, and related areas.
- Support preparation of financial statements and variance analyses.
- Support treasury activities as needed, including cash flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, liquidity management, and coordination with banking partners.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
Identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement. - Support ERP implementations, system enhancements, and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting experience
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Strong expertise in ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
- Hands-on experience managing the full cycle order-to-cash process
- Experience preparing detailed account reconciliations and maintaining audit-ready supporting documentation
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Experience supporting external audits
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

The compensation band for this role is $120,800 - $150,000 USD annually for candidates based in the United States and $163,238 - $202,500 CAD annually for candidates based in Canada.
The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a person who will help us with data management, transformation, analysis and visualization. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal tools to use for these purposes and then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. Optimally you have knowledge of at least one dynamic language and SQL, a good business mindset, and data analysis competencies.
Please note that this is a 12-months contract role, subject to extension further.
In this role you will:
- Data Integration: Automate ingestion of data from multiple sources (e.g., Google Sheets, APIs, internal systems) into BigQuery
- Database Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows in BigQuery; Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Exploratory Analysis: Perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Business Reporting: Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., in Streamlit, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar tools) to support decision-making.
- KPI Definition & Tracking: Partner with stakeholders to define key business metrics and create systems for daily, weekly and monthly tracking as needed

ABOUT YOU
You are someone with:
- Experience with Education or EdTech industry is strongly preferred

- 4+ years of hands on experience in data analytics field, ideally in an education setting
- Knowledge of advanced statistical (i.e. multiple regression, hypothesis testing) and machine learning techniques (i.e. clustering, decision tree learning, etc.) for real-world applications

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Partner Operations and Support team at Khan Academy India sits at the intersection of various state teams, constantly receiving a wealth of valuable, on-the-ground information, ranging from local best practices to powerful testimonials from students, teachers, principals, and government officials. Currently, much of this qualitative data sits with the respective state program teams, and we risk losing these valuable insights over time.
We are looking for a Program Documentation and Learning Coordinator to streamline our knowledge management. In this role, you will act as our internal knowledge hub, synthesizing qualitative insights into structured, easily accessible repositories. You will ensure that when our team prepares for a critical stakeholder meeting (such as with state leadership), we have the necessary best practices and success stories well organized and easy to use. Furthermore, you will champion the dissemination of this knowledge across the team and proactively identify gaps in our current understanding to help us continuously improve.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Collate and Ogranize: Collate and maintain a structured repository of best practices, key initiatives, and implementation challenges across programmes, enabling systematic cross-programme knowledge exchange.
- Repository Management: Build, organize, and maintain a highly intuitive knowledge repository. Categorize information into meaningful buckets so it is easily searchable and immediately useful for team members preparing for state leadership meetings or strategic planning.
- Internal Communication & Storytelling: Effectively disseminate key learnings to the wider team. Translate synthesized data into engaging written communications (emails, newsletters), presentation decks, and active contributions during weekly team meetings.
- Gap Analysis & Problem Solving: Critically evaluate the information we are collecting to identify missing pieces or blind spots in our programmatic understanding. Proactively communicate these gaps to the relevant state teams and create necessary resources to bridge them.
ABOUT YOU
You are someone with:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in program coordination, knowledge management, or qualitative research. Experience in the Indian education sector is an added advantage.
- Strong Information Synthesizing Capabilities: You have a proven ability to sift through large amounts of unstructured, qualitative information, connect the dots, and distill it into clear, meaningful themes and actionable insights.
- Strong Communication Skills: You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You know how to tailor your message, whether you are writing an executive email, designing a presentation deck, or speaking in a cross-functional meeting.
- Problem Solving Aptitude: You don't just passively collect data, you analyze it. You have the critical thinking skills required to spot what is missing and the initiative to ask the right questions to fill those gaps.

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Chief of Staff to join our External Relations team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic planning, project management, data analysis, and stakeholder management skills to propel our organization forward. Reporting directly to the Chief External Relations Officer and working closely with all members of the External Relations leadership team, the Chief of Staff will play a vital role in identifying and executing impactful strategies and processes, enabling our school district, philanthropy, and strategic partnerships teams to operate effectively and scale. 1. Business Operations
- Lead the operating rhythm for the External Relations organization, including planning cycles, leadership meetings, quarterly business reviews, and performance tracking against OKRs and key risks

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as connective tissue between teams to ensure shared goals are clear, dependencies are managed, and execution is coordinated

- Work closely with Product, Content, and Finance teams to align on shared goals, co-develop offerings, and ensure go-to-market plans reflect the needs of learners, teachers, parents and administrators

WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic, operational, or Chief of Staff–type role within a mission-driven, fast-paced organization.
- Proven success in project management and organizational operations, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform strategic decisions, measure outcomes, and build analytical models.
- Experience in K-12 education go to market strategy or B2B go to market roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level materials such as board decks, OKR reports, or strategy memos.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across teams and levels, serving as a connector, advisor, and thought partner to senior leaders.
- High degree of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through; able to manage multiple work streams and deadlines simultaneously.

THE ROLE
The Senior Technical Support Specialist will serve as the primary owner of the Khan Academy Kids support function — the trusted first point of contact for our users and a strategic partner to our Product, Engineering, and Partnerships teams. This is a build role: you'll own the end-to-end support experience for Khan Kids — designing the systems and processes that make it run, while staying in the work yourself across everything from individual parent inquiries to district-level app deployments and product release readiness.
This role supports all of Khan Kids' audiences. You'll context-switch between a parent troubleshooting an app issue and a district IT admin navigating a Clever integration, and you'll bring the same care, technical fluency, and follow-through to both. You'll also serve as the internal voice of our users, surfacing trends and insights that directly inform how we build and improve our product.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the US or Canada. Proximity to our San Mateo, CA office is a plus, as the Khan Kids Product and Engineering team is based there.
Key Responsibilities:
The approximate time allocations below reflect a typical distribution, but will shift seasonally based on user needs. For example, during back-to-school season, district and partner support will naturally take a larger share of focus.
Grassroots User Support (~40%)
- Own our Zendesk account end-to-end — managing inbound tickets from parents, teachers, and app store reviews with prompt, accurate, and empathetic responses, while also configuring workflows, macros, and tagging taxonomies to handle growing volume efficiently.
- Define, track, and report on core support metrics — including first response time, resolution time, and ticket volume — using data and AI tools to surface patterns, drive process improvements, and bring structured insights to Product and Engineering.
- Surface, replicate, and document user-reported bugs and ticket trends, serving as the go-between for users and the Product and Engineering teams to ensure issues are tracked, resolved, and informing the roadmap.
- Maintain and improve our Help Center and technical user guides — writing and updating support articles, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, release notes, and device-specific resources (e.g., Google Admin Console guides for Chromebook deployments) — leveraging AI tools for efficient content creation.
- Serve as first responder for user-facing incidents — coordinating with Engineering on triage, communicating status to affected users and partners, and documenting post-mortems.
- Conduct regular testing of the Khan Kids app experience, including structured competitor analysis of peer apps, to proactively surface friction points and keep support content accurate as the product evolves.
Partner & District Support (~40%)
- Support district rostering via Clever and manual methods, serving as a knowledgeable resource for district IT administrators navigating app deployment and setup.
- Triage, test, and track technical support issues for district and school partners, leading technical support calls as needed to resolve complex issues.
- Collaborate with our District Success Team to write and maintain district-facing support resources, ensuring partners have what they need to successfully deploy and scale Khan Kids in their schools.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with district and school partners, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and long-term engagement
Product Release Support (~20%)
- Partner with Product and Engineering to coordinate QA testing ahead of app updates, new features, and content launches — and develop corresponding support resources so users and partners are prepared from day one.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the broader Khan Academy support team to align on tools, standards, and escalation processes.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in customer support, technical support, or a related field, ideally in an EdTech or consumer app environment.
- Hands-on experience with Zendesk or a comparable support ticketing platform, including account configuration and management — not just day-to-day use.
- Experience supporting educational deployments — including rostering platforms (e.g., Clever, ClassLink), mobile device management (e.g., JAMF, Mosyle), and admin consoles (e.g., Google Admin, Apple School Manager) — or a demonstrated ability to learn complex technical ecosystems quickly.

We’re looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join our Design team. The heart of this role is not just conducting research, but building the high-performance engine that powers user understanding across our entire product. You will be the architect of our "People Who Do Research" (PWDR) program, empowering our Design team to conduct their own tactical research while you provide the methodological rigor, technical guardrails, and strategic oversight. We are looking for an expert who can lead our transition into AI-enhanced research operations—acting as the essential "Human-in-the-Loop" to ensure that as we accelerate our workflows, our insights remain grounded, ethical, and highly actionable.
You will play a vital role in scaling our impact, serving as a coach and consultant to product teams as they navigate the complexities of U.S. school districts. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- PWDR Program leadership and enablement: Refine and scale our "People Who Do Research" program. You will empower designers and product triads to conduct high-quality tactical UXR research (both qual and quant) by providing the playbooks, training, and mentorship necessary to maintain rigorous standards across the team.
- AI strategy and research operations: Design, propose, and manage a research tech stack (including Dovetail) powered by responsible AI. You will implement automated workflows for recruiting, synthesis, and insight distribution, serving as the UXR "Human-in-the-Loop" authority to ensure AI-generated outputs are grounded, ethical, and accurate.
- Cross-product research, synthesis, and leadership: Act as the Design Leadership Team’s expert on customer and user profiles, end-to-end user journeys, and forward-looking research. You will synthesize insights that span multiple product surface areas to identify "connective tissue," strategic gaps, and opportunities that go beyond the scope of individual embedded researchers or designers on product teams.
- Strategic advisory and methodological governance: Serve as a high-level internal consultant, guiding teams on the selection of lean vs. rigorous methodologies. You will lead or co-facilitate complex mixed-method studies when business needs require, providing the foundational frameworks (blueprints, journey maps) that keep teams aligned with the "big picture."

THE ROLE
As we deepen and scale our international partnerships, we are seeking a Senior Program Manager International Enablement to serve as a cross-functional execution leader and cross-functional partner to country teams.
This role sits within the International team and works closely with our International Product Manager and International Rostering/Ops Lead. The primary purpose of this role is to:
- Stabilize and unblock day-to-day partner execution
- Translate product evolution into country-level implementation implications, ensuring partners are prepared for roadmap changes and transitions
- Triage and resolve the majority of partner questions and issues independently, escalating only strategic, compliance, or high-risk matters
- Coordinate cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Marketing to move partner-facing dependencies forward
This is a high-judgment, high-autonomy individual contributor role designed to provide leverage to the broader International team by absorbing operational complexity, strengthening partner execution, and ensuring country teams are consistently supported.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Own Day-to-Day Partner Execution & Triage
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational and implementation questions from country teams
- Resolve ~80% of partner issues and clarifications without escalation
- Run regular operational check-ins with priority country teams
- Identify risks early and escalate only strategic, compliance, or resourcing tradeoffs
Lead Product to Field Translation
- Develop deep fluency in Khan Academy products and translate product changes into clear, actionable guidance for country teams
- Support grassroots and government-level launches with practical implementation counsel
- Maintain a feedback loop to Product on field implications and recurring friction points
Enable Strong, Sustainable Partnerships
- Support onboarding and accelerator processes for new countries
- Provide guidance on adapting implementation models to local system constraints
- Support pilot design and early-stage implementation stabilization for new country teams
Drive Programmatic Excellence
- Support design and execution of global convenings, learning communities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Contribute to professional learning tracks (e.g., KhanXchange) aligned to partner needs
- Ensure country teams are informed of roadmap changes and prepared for transitions
Coordinate Cross-Functionally
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Marketing teams to unblock country needs

WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in international education, partnerships, consulting, public sector delivery, or cross-functional program leadership
- Strong understanding of how educational systems operate, particularly in international contexts
- Demonstrated experience leading implementation in ambiguous environments, driving execution across multiple teams without formal authority
- Exceptional project management and prioritization skills
- Ability to rapidly develop deep product fluency and translate product evolution into practical implementation guidance

From our government partnerships, we reached 2.1 million learners last year, partnering with 70,000+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in three years.
The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our government partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies. With a small team, we have managed to reach 1 Lakh+ teachers and 2.1 million learners across various states.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our government programs, we support teachers and teacher mentors through training sessions, resources, webinars, and by enabling peer-to-peer sharing. The Schools Team is looking to bring an on-board Training Coordinator to design and deliver professional development initiatives for teachers, teacher mentors, and administrators as part of the team’s work with different government partners.
This is a 12-month contract-based role.
In this role, you would:
- Design and deliver synchronous and asynchronous modes of capacity-building initiatives for the partner programs
- Manage a team of master trainers with fluency in Telugu language and co-facilitate high-quality training sessions
- Regularly conduct field visits to schools, district offices (3-4 per month) to understand field level challenges, and generate insights to increase adoption and deepen usage of Khan Academy
- Use data-informed decisions to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the training sessions conducted by the Khan Academy India team
- Work closely with Teacher Professional Development team to strengthen the existing teacher professional development framework, aligned with the team’s overall goals
- Coordination with the concerned departments for training program approval including getting the circulars/letters issued, working with the department for ensuring training execution etc.
- Work with KA state team and the state nodal officers to help support the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Telangana
- Provide any other support, as needed, for the programme.
ABOUT YOU
You would be a great fit for the role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience including 3+ years working on designing & delivering effective training programs for teachers and other education stakeholders, ideally in a government setting
- Fluency in Telugu and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory
- Willingness to travel across the state to conduct training or schools visits, up to 50% of the time
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory

ABOUT THE ROLE
Khan Academy India’s Schools Team is looking for motivated individuals to join our Telangana Team as District Coordinators to support implementation of the Khan Academy programme in government schools across different districts in Telangana. In this role, you will work closely with school management, and teachers to ensure effective adoption and usage of the Khan Academy platform. You will report to the Senior Program Lead and play a key role in on-ground execution and support.
Please note that this role will be serving one district mentioned as base location, and additionally will serve 1-2 nearby districts as well. More details can be shared in the introduction call.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Support programme implementation at the district level
- Support rollout and implementation of the Khan Academy programme across all assigned schools in the district
- Assist in conducting teacher trainings and orientations (online and offline)
- Ensure follow-up with schools to drive consistent and effective platform usage
- Track progress against defined goals and flag gaps in implementation
2. Work closely with district stakeholders
- Build and maintain working relationships with District Education Officers (DEOs), Principals, and teachers
- Act as a key point of contact for school-level coordination
- Support school management in planning, reviewing, and strengthening programme implementation
3. Drive strong on-ground implementation through intensive school visits
- Visit all assigned schools on a weekly basis to ensure consistent and high-quality implementation of the Khan Academy programme. Travel reimbursements will be provided.
- Observe classroom usage and support teachers in effectively integrating Khan Academy into daily teaching practices
- Identify gaps in adoption, usage, or understanding and take timely corrective actions
- Build strong relationships with school leaders and teachers to drive ownership and accountability
- Ensure that agreed implementation practices are consistently followed across all schools
4. Gather insights and support data-driven decisions
- Collect and track usage data and feedback from schools on a regular basis
- Share structured updates and key insights with the central team
- Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to improve programme effectiveness

- Maintain records of trainings, school visits, and stakeholder meetings in a structured format

ABOUT YOU
You would be a great fit for the role if you are:
- Someone with 2–4 years of relevant work experience. Having been an educator or having worked with government schools in Telangana is an added advantage.

- Partner & State Documentation:
- Maintain a centralized, personnel-agnostic repository of all state partner interactions, MOUs, and project statuses.
- Ensure zero loss of context during FTC/Consultant transitions.
- Global Liaison (US/Jira):
- Serve as the primary recipient for US-assigned Jira tickets.
- Triage and route tickets to the appropriate Math/Science/Localization leads, ensuring deadlines are met without overwhelming functional managers.
- Content Hygiene & Publishing Operations:

THE ROLE

In line with our focus to reach the underserved, we partner with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by enabling teachers and students to optimally utilize the tools and resources on the Khan Academy platform. From our government partnerships, we have reached 2 million learners this last year, partnering with 65,000+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in five years.
The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. Specifically, the team supports teachers and administrators through training and resources, and enabling peer-to-peer sharing. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Khan Academy India is looking for a passionate individual to join our growing Schools Team as a Project Lead consultant to support our programme with the government school system in Uttar Pradesh. The role will be based in Lucknow. In this role, you will be working with the Regional Head, North and will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Khan Academy programme in the state, in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Lucknow. You will also work closely with Khan Academy India’s Content team, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams to ensure high-quality implementation of our programme.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support programme implementation: Work with Regional Head, North and the state nodal officer of Department of School Education to help support the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Uttar Pradesh
- Take ownership of work streams and deliver on the pre-agreed goals
- Deliver and support in delivering training to education officials (Khan Academy program mentors/administrative cadre) and teachers on a regular basis.
- Follow up on training implementation and unearth insights and challenges to strengthen the program for all teachers continuously.
- Manage relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials which include nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and school stakeholders.
- Gather data-backed insights: Assist the program and partners throughout the implementation to take the right decisions based on data-backed insights.
- Regularly conduct field visits(3-4/week) and have regular touchpoints with the officers and teachers to generate insights from the schools that will help the Khan Academy team identify strategic levers to increase adoption and deepen usage of Khan Academy.
- Manage knowledge effectively: Ensure that all state discussions are documented in a standard format and keep key stakeholders (internal and external) in the loop.
- Build our learning muscle by analyzing qualitative feedback from the state systems
- Collaborate with the rest of the teams at Khan Academy India to ensure timely and successful delivery of our program and services.
- Provide any other support, as needed, for the programme.
ABOUT YOU

- Someone with 5+ yrs of relevant work experience. Having been an educator or having worked with government schools in Uttar Pradesh is an added advantage.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing and Editing KA Math/Science Telugu content and/or creating and localizing new content (text) as needed; keeping quality metrics in mind (Contextualisation, cohesion, rigor, clarity, pedagogical approach, etc.)
- Collect on-ground feedback on content by interacting with state teachers and incorporating the feedback into the content.
- Localizing Maths/Science text from English to Telugu.
- Going through Telugu Math textbooks to highlight any modifications needed before localisation.
- Reading through original material, reviewing it and rewriting it the target language in case needed, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained.
- Along with State Board and NCERT Books using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
- Researching on relevant phraseology to find the correct translation.
- Proofreading and editing final translated versions on the basis of the basic quality parameters (Meaning, Readability, Compliance, Terminology, Consistency and Linguistics).
- Retaining and developing knowledge on specialist areas of translation.
- Developing glossary for the specific terminologies to be used in Khan Academy’s localization process and continuously update it with new terminology.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support programme implementation: Support the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across the government schools.
- Manage relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials which include nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and block-level officers.
- Regularly conduct field visits(8-10/month) and conduct 10-15 calls with the middle layer to observe and understand the program implementation
- Manage knowledge effectively: Ensure that all state discussions are documented in a standard format and keep key stakeholders (internal and external) in the loop.
- Build our learning muscle by analyzing qualitative feedback from the state systems
- Collaborate with the rest of the teams at Khan Academy India to ensure timely and successful delivery of our program and services.
- Provide any other support, as needed, for the programme.
ABOUT YOU

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are primarily looking for someone who:

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Localizing English Science videos into Telugu.
- Reviewing and Editing KA Science Telugu content and/or creating and localizing new content (videos) as needed; keeping quality metrics in mind (Contextualisation, cohesion, rigor, clarity, pedagogical approach, etc.)
- Collect on-ground feedback on content by interacting with state teachers and incorporating the feedback into the content.
- Going through Telugu Science textbooks to highlight any modifications needed before localisation.
- Reading through original material, reviewing it and recreating it in the target language in case needed, ensuring that the meaning of the source is retained.
- Along with State Board and NCERT Books using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
- Researching on relevant phraseology to find the correct localization.
- Proofreading and editing final translated versions on the basis of the basic quality parameters (Meaning, Readability, Compliance, Terminology, Consistency and Linguistics).
- Retaining and developing knowledge on specialist areas of video localization.
- Developing glossary for the specific terminologies to be used in Khan Academy’s localization process and continuously update it with new terminology.

We are looking for a Science content creator to lead our efforts of creating syllabus-aligned video and exercises primarily for grades 6th-12th. This will be a full time contract position where you will be given an initial onboarding on our content principles and then you will be on a monthly basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Khan Academy India team is looking for a candidate with experience in handling Monitoring and evaluation projects on a contract basis. The candidate will be responsible for executing and guiding M&E projects – both in-house and via third parties. ABOUT INDIA SCHOOLS TEAM
In line with our focus to reach the underserved, we partner with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by enabling teachers and students to optimally utilize the tools and resources on the Khan Academy platform. From our government partnerships, we have reached 2 million learners this last year, partnering with 65,000+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in five years.
The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. Specifically, the team supports teachers and administrators through training and resources, and enabling peer-to-peer sharing. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Khan Academy India is looking for a passionate individual to join our growing Schools Team as a Project Lead consultant to support our programme with the government school system in Uttarakhand. The role will be based in Dehradun. In this role, you will be working with the Regional Head, North and will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Khan Academy programme in the state, in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Uttarakhand and SETU Aayog, Uttarakhand. You will also work closely with Khan Academy India’s Content team, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams to ensure high-quality implementation of our programme.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support programme implementation: Work with Regional Head, North and the state nodal officer of Department of School Education, Uttarakhand to help support the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Uttarakhand.
- Take ownership of work streams and deliver on the pre-agreed goals
- Deliver and support in delivering training to education officials (Khan Academy program mentors/administrative cadre) and teachers on a regular basis.
- Follow up on training implementation and unearth insights and challenges to strengthen the program for all teachers continuously.
- Manage relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials which include nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and school stakeholders.
- Gather data-backed insights: Assist the program and partners throughout the implementation to take the right decisions based on data-backed insights.
- Regularly conduct field visits(3-4/week) and have regular touchpoints with the officers and teachers to generate insights from the schools that will help the Khan Academy team identify strategic levers to increase adoption and deepen usage of Khan Academy.
- Manage knowledge effectively: Ensure that all state discussions are documented in a standard format and keep key stakeholders (internal and external) in the loop.
- Build our learning muscle by analyzing qualitative feedback from the state systems

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Math content creator to support our efforts of creating math videos aligned for grades 11-12th. This will be a work from home freelance position where you will be given an initial onboarding on our content principles and then you will be paid per video created. Important: We are looking for folks who can provide conceptual understanding and create crisp and clear content.
In this role, you would:
- Create videos for Khan Academy.
- Continuously iterate and improve content based on feedback received.
ABOUT YOU
You would be a great fit for the role if
- You have a combined 4+ years of experience creating videos for 11-12 NCERT or State Boards. Impeccable communication skills are a must have.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are primarily looking for someone who:
- Loves Math and talking about this subject [Comfortable in the subject up to class XII level]
- Is fluent in Telugu language (speaking and writing).
- Is native Telugu speaker.
- Can localize videos in Telugu.
- Have video making experience.
Other than these, the following will be great to have:
- Having studied and/or taught in a Telugu medium school.
- Experience in online teaching, video creation/Localization.
- Being tech-savvy and tech-curious.
- Proficiency in understanding the English language to be able to recreate videos.
- Knowledge of Video making, video editing softwares.
The role will involve localization of videos from English to Telugu. It will also involve interactions with state teachers to better understand their needs.

- Reviewing and Editing KA Math Telugu content and/or creating and localizing new content (videos) as needed; keeping quality metrics in mind (Contextualisation, cohesion, rigor, clarity, pedagogical approach, etc.)
- Collect on-ground feedback on content by interacting with state teachers and incorporating the feedback into the content.
- Going through Telugu Math textbooks to highlight any modifications needed before localisation.

ABOUT THE INDIA SCHOOL TEAM
In line with our focus on reaching the underserved, we partner with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by enabling teachers and students to optimally utilize the tools and resources on the Khan Academy platform. From our government partnerships, we reached 1.2 million learners last year, partnering with 8,500+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in three years.
The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our government partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies. With a small team, we have managed to reach 21,000+ teachers and 1.2 million learners across various states.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our government programs, we support teachers and teacher mentors through training sessions, resources, webinars, and by enabling peer-to-peer sharing. The Schools Team is looking to bring an on-board Training Coordinator to design and deliver professional development initiatives for teachers, teacher mentors, and administrators as part of the team’s work with different government partners.
This is a twelve-month contract-based role.
In this role, you will:
- Design and deliver synchronous and asynchronous modes of capacity-building initiatives for the partner programs
- Manage a team of master trainers with fluency in Kannada language and co-facilitate high-quality training sessions
- Identify and document the best practices & challenges emerging from the field and proactively prepare learning material to scale/address them
- Use data-informed decisions to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the training sessions conducted by the Khan Academy India team
- Work closely with Teacher Professional Development team to strengthen the existing teacher professional development framework, aligned with the team’s overall goals
- Coordination with the concerned departments for training program approval including getting the circulars/letters issued, working with the department for ensuring training execution etc.
- Work closely with Karnataka team to drive the program implementation in the state of Karnataka
ABOUT YOU
You would be a great fit for the role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience including 3+ years working on designing & delivering effective training programs for teachers and other education stakeholders, ideally in a government setting
- Fluency in Kannada and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory
- Willingness to travel across the state to conduct training or schools visits, up to 50% of the time
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory
- A passion for education and a desire to change the world
- A proven ability to work across teams with superior communication skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset, including a high tolerance for ambiguity, a penchant for experimentation, and a bias toward action
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we are growing
