The Opportunity

This is an entry-level role learning all aspects of Texas AirSystems products and systems to estimate and manage projects. As the Project Engineer, this individual will be responsible for coordinating submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates for each project. Must be detail and customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills.  Position requires a high level of oral and written correspondence with the Sales Team, Customers and Manufacturers to ensure timely completion of assigned projects while maintaining customer satisfaction. Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced & high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration
• Optimize the project through the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
• Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors
• Organize project related data for order entry
• Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests
• Read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications

The Required Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry a plus

• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

The Satellite Integration Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and supporting integration and assembly processes for satellite subsystems and full spacecraft. This role focuses on designing efficient workflows, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards, improving production quality, and driving process optimization to meet mission requirements. The engineer will collaborate closely with design engineers, technicians, quality teams, and program management to ensure seamless integration, assembly, and testing of spacecraft.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, assembly procedures, and work instructions for satellite integration.
• Design and validate fixtures, tooling, and handling equipment to support satellite assembly and subsystem integration.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles are applied to spacecraft and subsystem designs.

Position Overview: 

The Flight Assurance Engineer will independently execute mechanisms-specific flight assurance processes and practices to ensure product reliability, compliance, and quality throughout the lifecycle of flight mechanisms and mechanical assemblies. This role owns design, manufacturing, test, and integration related assurance activities to ensure the safety, functionality, and performance of flight hardware with limited supervision. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Own and execute flight assurance methods, plans, and processes across the full mechanisms development and production lifecycle — encompassing design, manufacturing, assembly, test, and integration — while supporting program schedule and cost objectives and meeting quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. 

• Conduct independent inspections at defined hold points across assembly, test, and integration for high-complexity mechanisms. Define, maintain, and enforce witness point classifications for all mechanisms through their full product lifecycle. 

• Review and approve assembly work instructions and test procedures before execution across functional and environmental test campaigns. Track qualification and verification of mechanisms through rigorous assurance processes including test readiness review, TVAC and life test witnessing, and test completion sign-off. 

• Execute mechanisms buyoff at assembly, test, and integration stages with objective evidence substantiation. Define and maintain audit methods for each buyoff stage. 

• Own the nonconformance register from origination through root cause corrective action verification on subsequent hardware. Lead root cause investigations for mechanisms anomalies across design, manufacturing, and test phases. 

• Prepare and maintain detailed assurance documentation including assurance plans, risk mitigation strategies, nonconformance dispositions, waiver and deviation packages, and compliance reports. 

• Conduct or coordinate vendor surveillance activities for flight-critical mechanism suppliers including review of build records and acceptance test data prior to receiving inspection. 

• Track in-family data trends across the mechanisms fleet and spacecraft production line. Participate in anomaly reviews and own corrective action tracking to verified closure. 

• Maintain the mechanisms-specific lessons learned register. Verify corrective action implementation on subsequent hardware — closure requires physical verification, not documentation alone. 

Required Qualifications

This is a system-level role focused on developing the AI&T plan, ensuring it aligns with requirements, and enabling production and test teams to execute efficiently and consistently.

In this role, you will translate mission and system requirements into clear integration flows, test strategies, and verification plans. You will work closely with subsystem leads, production, and test engineering to ensure the right configurations, procedures, and readiness criteria are in place, without being the day-to-day operator on the floor. You will drive readiness reviews, ensure configuration discipline, and track verification closure across the spacecraft lifecycle.

This role is ideal for a systems engineer who understands spacecraft hardware and test environments, excels at cross-functional coordination, and enjoys shaping the integration and verification approaches that ensure mission success.

The Senior Field Service Engineer – RUPS Systems will specialize in rotary UPS power system distribution builds, mechanical and generator integration, system integration, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs. This role requires advanced technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, leadership skills, and hands-on field experience with both electrical control systems and rotating equipment such as generators and flywheels. Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to delivering high-performance power solutions in data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities, and utility-scale environments are essential.

This is not a typical UPS engineer or technician role. In fact, a strong background in traditional static UPS systems may not be advantageous for this position. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with mechanical systems, generators, and rotary equipment, and be comfortable commissioning complex power systems in the field. You will act as the front-line expert for bringing large-scale RUPS systems online, resolving technical issues, and training others. This role will also provide technical software and hardware troubleshooting support to the IEM customer base on-site throughout North America while performing start-ups, retrofits, or preventative maintenance. ICON is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to assist in our Strategic R&D efforts.  As the Mechanical Engineer for Off-Planet Robotics, you will be responsible for the development of conceptual and detailed designs of electro-mechanical systems that will be used off-planet You will also conduct trade studies and ideation exercises, participating in our design review and systems engineering processes, and ultimately flying the hardware you have designed.  This role is an onsite role and is based locally in ICON’s Austin, TX laboratories, and will report to the Senior Director of Off-Planet Systems.

Project Manager – Power & Energy (Wind, Solar, Transmission & Substations)

Atwell’s Power & Energy group delivers utility-scale renewable and grid projects nationwide. We’re hiring a Technical Project Manager with a strong consulting/owner’s-engineer background to lead multidisciplinary work across wind, solar, battery storage, high-voltage substation, and transmission programs. This is a technical engineering PM role: you’ll own scope, schedule, and budget and drive the engineering from early studies and permits through construction support and closeout.

What you’ll do

• Own the project lifecycle: lead scope definition, proposals/LOE, schedules, risk registers, change management, and cost control from feasibility to turnover.
• Drive technical delivery: coordinate and review civil, structural, electrical (P&C, HV, collection, interconnection) and studies work; ensure designs meet NEC/NESC/IEEE/ASCE, client standards, and constructability.
• Quality & compliance: manage QA/QC plans, submittals, RFIs, and document control; ensure environmental/permitting and interconnection requirements are integrated.
• Construction support: perform site visits; review shop drawings and test reports; support FAT/SAT, energization, punch-list closure, and lessons-learned.
• Team & vendor management: coordinate internal engineers/designers and external partners (EPCs, specialty subs, equipment vendors) to align deliverables and mitigate risk.

What you bring

• 8+ years delivering power/energy projects (consulting, owner’s engineer, or EPCM) spanning utility-scale wind/solar/BESS, HV substations, and/or transmission.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or related). PE license preferred (multi-state a plus); PMP a plus.
• Working knowledge of interconnection/studies and design coordination (e.g., ETAP/SKM/PSSE/PSCAD familiarity; PLS-CADD/POLE; Civil 3D/AutoCAD; Bluebeam).

• Experience with owner’s-rep/OR, OE roles and utility interfaces (ISO/RTO processes).
