Position Overview:

Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Junior Mechanical Engineer to work in our satellite mechanical subsystem & payload, contributing to the mechanical design, analysis, specification, testing, and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mechanical design and modelling of mechanical subsystems and payload. Preparation of preliminary design with layouts, sketches, testing requirements, materials, processes, and tools, define mechanical interfaces with other mechanical subsystems.
• Develop and maintain mechanical design documentation, manufacturing drawings, interface control drawings, test procedures and tooling (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly).
• Technical Support to AIT activities including fabrication, assembly, integration, and tests.
• Responsible for the design and capability of the system design to meet the technical requirements.
• Support in structural and thermal decisions and engineering trade-offs to find the best conceptual architectures and design.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Higher degree is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Mechanical space subsystems and payload and/or other equivalent applications is a plus.
• Experience using PDM and PLM software is a plus.
• Knowledge in GDIT is a plus.
Soft Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.
• Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.

The Manufacturing & Flight Assurance Engineering Intern will support the CSAT Solar Panel, Micron Solar Panel, and Flight Assurance teams in developing, improving, and validating manufacturing processes for spacecraft hardware. This role provides hands-on exposure to production engineering, process development, and mission assurance activities across solar panel fabrication and spacecraft manufacturing operations. The intern will learn how flight hardware is built, tested, documented, and audited to ensure quality, repeatability, and mission success.
