Position Overview
The Launch Operations Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in the final, high-stakes phase of mission success. AST SpaceMobile is hiring part-time AI Quality Technician Labeler in Midland, TX to label imagery of spacecraft components, sub-assemblies, and factory-floor assembly steps used to train AST’s computer-vision and robotics AI models.
Working on-site in the AI Lab, you will use AST’s in-house labeling software to draw bounding boxes, polygons, and segmentation masks; classify components and defects; and follow detailed labeling guidelines defined by AST’s data scientists and manufacturing quality engineers. This is a high-precision, security-controlled role: the lab is a no-personal-electronics environment, and your accuracy and consistency directly determine the quality of the AI models AST relies on for visual inspection and robotic operation.

Position Overview
The Solar Panel Electrical and Power Systems Engineering Intern will support the design, fabrication, and production of photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays used in satellite and aerospace applications. This role provides hands-on exposure to flight hardware manufacturing, supporting engineers and technicians with process development, panel assembly, and production optimization. The intern will contribute to improving the reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability of space-rated solar array systems that power mission-critical spacecraft.
This internship is from 5/18/2026 to 8/7/2026 on-site at our Midland, TX facility. You must be enrolled in the following semester. If you just graduated, please apply to one of our full-time roles.

Position Overview
The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is designed for exceptional recent graduates who want to become Industrial Engineers by learning about high volume space industry operations to support a rapid deployment of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation.
Participants in this program will begin their careers working directly on the spacecraft production floor as Engineering Technicians supporting Micron Operations. In this role, participants will gain hands-on experience assembling, testing, and integrating flight components for the phased array of the satellite.
As participants demonstrate technical capability and leadership potential, they will progress through a structured development path:
Engineering Technician → Associate Manufacturing Engineer → Manufacturing Engineer or Flight Assurance Engineer or Industrial Engineer or Supervisor
This program provides a rare opportunity to develop engineers who understand spacecraft hardware from the ground up—combining hands-on spacecraft assembly experience, early leadership development, and a clear transition into an engineering role. Participants will gain direct experience building flight hardware, leading technical teams, and supporting spacecraft production at scale.

Participants begin the program working directly with spacecraft hardware supporting Micron Operations.

After demonstrating strong technical performance and leadership capability, participants transition into a supervisory role supporting Micron operations.

This phase provides early leadership experience managing technical teams responsible for building flight spacecraft hardware.
Phase 3 – Option #1 – Industrial Engineer
Upon successful completion of the development program, participants transition into a Manufacturing Engineer role supporting spacecraft production and integration.

Phase 3 – Option # 2 – Supervisor (Operations Leadership Track)

As AST SpaceMobile ramps production to support multiple satellites per month, we are expanding our Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) team with experienced mechanisms technicians who have previously worked on flight hardware in satellite or launch environments.
These roles will lead the hands-on build, integration, and testing of spacecraft mechanisms including deployment systems, actuators, hinges, and release devices that are critical to satellite operations.
The Senior Mechanisms Engineering Technician will bring significant hands-on experience working with high-reliability hardware in satellite, launch vehicle, or similar aerospace environments. This role will lead complex build and test operations, mentor junior technicians, and provide valuable feedback to engineering teams to improve hardware designs, processes, and production workflows.
This is a highly hands-on role supporting precision hardware in a primarily manual assembly environment, requiring deep technical judgment, attention to detail, and leadership within technician teams.

We are seeking a motivated Team player to assemble parts for satellite systems in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility.
The rate for this role starts at $24 an hour and the shifts are Friday through Sunday, 6am to 6pm.
Depending on business needs, this role may also have opportunities on:
• Shift 1- Days: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (4x10s).
• Shift 2-Nights: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. (4x10s)
• Shift 4- Weekend-Night: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. (3x12s).

We are searching for an Environmental Test Technician II supports execution of environmental testing activities including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and acoustic testing. This role operates with moderate independence, contributing to test setup, execution, troubleshooting, and documentation while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Technician II is expected to have a solid technical foundation and may assist in training, as needed.
