ABOUT THE JOB

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be a player-coach leading a high-caliber engineering team building advanced platforms. Depending on your area of ownership, you may lead one or more teams across domains including Control Plane (edge/cloud compute), Dev/Sec Ops, Data Platform & Governance, High Scale Event Processing (hundreds of billions of events per day), Mobile Platforms, SRE & Operations, or Radar Platform (our core web/cloud customer experience). At RADAR, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000. The RF Engineer for our Products line is responsible for working on new designs based on customer requirements and products that contribute to our portfolio of product offerings, as well as solving issues with existing designs.

The position reports to the VP of Product Design and is part of the Engineering department. This role is onsite and based in San Diego, CA. 

In this role, the essential functions are:

• Derive and document RF subsystem (UC, DC, PA and LNA) requirements from system or top-level requirements
• Produce RF schematics to capture the design

About the role

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Develop, integrate, and adapt cutting-edge AI/ML algorithms running on the perception autonomy stack to collect relevant information across a suite of platform sensors

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Develop, integrate, and adapt cutting-edge AI/ML algorithms running on the perception autonomy stack to collect relevant information across a suite of platform sensors

We're looking for someone who has:

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Optimization, or equivalent OR 5+ years of relevant experience working with sensor algorithms, hardware, and HIL software integration
• Experience with multiple sensor modalities (e.g., EO, IR, lidar, radar, sonar, acoustics, etc.)Core understanding of sensor physics and sensor control parameters
• Experience training and deploying ML algorithms (python, pytorch, tensorflow) onto integrated systems (onnx, C++ models)
• Familiarity with tracking basics (e.g., Kalman filters) and optimal sensor fusion
• Experience working comfortably in Linux and Docker

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Product Integration and Test team, which is critical for turning individual, stand-alone components from various teams into a single, cohesive autonomous product.

This position will help the team execute effectively through technical guidance, mentoring, collaboration with other platform teams, integration into broader systems, testing, and configuration management. You will be responsible for maintaining and executing the technical roadmap of multiple products, starting with an All-Domain Collaborative Autonomy product.

You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and facilitating on-water or in-air real testing. This role is responsible for the rigorous end-to-end verification and validation of the integrated product through Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and real-world deployment on company-owned USV and UAV platforms. BASE SALARY: $150,000 to $190,000 per year, paid semi-monthly

MUST HAVE:

Position Summary

Primary Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a Perception Team Lead who will lead a team in developing Perception pipelines for multiple modalities (EO/IR, Radar, with growth paths into Acoustics, Passive RF, and Sonar). The software will be deployed in the real world for government and defense applications. This position will help the team execute effectively through technical guidance, mentoring, collaboration with other peer teams, integration into broader systems, and using best practices for designing and building software systems. About the Role

We are looking for a Perception Team Lead who will lead a team in developing Perception pipelines for multiple modalities (EO/IR, Radar, with growth paths into Acoustics, Passive RF, and Sonar). WORK ENVIROMENT & CONDITIONS

Position Summary: 

The Software Engineer II plays an important role for the Applications team, contributing significantly to the development of our in-house robot software applications. • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and service-based architectures, with the ability to validate service interactions and troubleshoot failures
• Experience working within the full software development lifecycle in Agile environments, collaborating with developers and product teams
• Strong debugging and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate failing tests and support root cause analysis
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills
• Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools to assist software development or testing workflows, such as generating test cases, debugging assistance, or documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience developing automated tests using modern web testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Working knowledge of containerized development environments (e.g., Docker) and their role in local development or CI workflows
• Hands-on experience with data processing pipelines or data validation workflows, including validating structured data used by applications or services
• Exposure to developing or executing simulation-based test scenarios in virtual environments to validate system behavior

Things that make a difference:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, CE, EE.
• Experience validating machine learning systems or ML-enabled applications, including model inference services, training data pipelines, or model output validation
• Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim or similar robotics simulation platforms
• Experience working in environments that combine cloud services, mobile applications, and data platforms
• Experience in mobile robotics or industrial automation is a plus
• Experience with common sensors used in robotics, including cameras (RGB and Depth), LIDARs, IMUs and Sonars is a plus

Salary and Benefits:

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego, California is $49.40/hr. - $57.21/hr. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Brain Corp is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
