MongoDB’s Storage Layer Services (SLS) team is re-architecting the MongoDB cloud storage layer and sits at the heart of our next-generation cloud storage architecture. This relatively new team is building performant, multi-tenant distributed storage services that both enhance today’s Atlas storage stack and enable more customer workloads to run more efficiently.

You will partner with the teams building these storage services to define SLOs, shape capacity plans, and ensure the reliability, durability, and operational safety of the storage layer that underpins Atlas. You’ll join a small, senior team of SREs as founding members of this organization, playing a crucial role in executing on a multi-year roadmap for MongoDB’s cloud storage architecture.

This role can be based out of our Boston, New York City, Raleigh, Miami, Pittsburgh or remotely in the United States while physically based in an Eastern or Central time zone location. 

The ideal candidate should

• Have 6+ years of experience working on software development and operating distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language
• Have operated or supported stateful storage or database systems at scale, and are comfortable with durability, consistency, and recovery trade-offs.

• Work on our multi-tenant distributed storage systems, balancing long-term strategic infrastructure goals with immediate engineering needs
• Build for reliability, making services and infrastructure available, resilient, fault-tolerant, and self-healing
• Identify and configure key metrics to detect incidents and quantify service health, availability, and performance
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve issues involving the storage infrastructure
• Become an expert in infrastructure performance, helping us optimize from the application level all the way to the kernel

• Leading major architectural shifts, such as moving from legacy storage stacks to new multi-tenant storage architectures, including planning and executing large-scale data and workload migrations with tight availability and durability requirements

• Drive investigation and resolution of security incidents impacting cloud infrastructure.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Applied Machine Learning Developer to guide the technical direction and architecture of our Predictive Maintenance and Asset Intelligence initiatives.

You’ll combine deep ML expertise with strong software development and leadership skills—mentoring developers, scaling systems, and driving the roadmap for AI-enabled maintenance intelligence across thousands of industrial sites.

This role sits at the intersection of ML architecture, IoT data systems, and product impact, shaping the foundation for MaintainX’s predictive and generative AI strategy.

What you’ll do:

• Lead technical direction for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and LLM-powered intelligence across MaintainX products.
• Architect end-to-end ML systems—from data ingestion and feature development to model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Mentor a growing team of ML and data developers, instilling best practices for experimentation, evaluation, and model lifecycle management.
• Partner with product and software development leaders to align AI roadmap with customer needs and business goals.
• Design reliable data and feedback loops that connect customer telemetry and operator feedback to model retraining.
• Drive performance optimization through techniques like quantization, distillation, and scalable inference serving.
• Work with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face) to build reasoning systems and agentic workflows for asset and work intelligence.
• Ensure ML infrastructure meets production standards for latency, reliability, explainability, and security.

About you:

• 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or Applied AI.
• Expertise in Python, and strong familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and cloud ML stacks (AWS, Databricks, or similar).
• Proven experience deploying production ML systems—not just prototypes—at scale.
• Strong background in LLMs, time-series modeling, and anomaly detection for real-world data.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architectural decisions, mentor developers, and collaborate across product, data, and platform teams.
• Knowledge of MLOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Weights & Biases, MLflow, SageMaker).
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field preferred.

Bonus skills: 

• Experience with OCR for extracting structured data from documents.
• Background in time-series modeling for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
• Familiarity with Industrial IoT systems (sensors, telemetry, edge computing).

Delivering Customer Success is an important focus for Dataiku. As a Customer Success Engineer (CSE) within our Solutions Engineering team, you’ll help Dataiku’s customers achieve meaningful outcomes with business analytics, AI/ML, and Gen AI. 

In this technical and consultative customer-facing role, you’ll focus on technical programming to increase adoption through product enablement and one-to-many user engagement. You’ll leverage your understanding of enterprise analytics, high-impact communication abilities, and hands-on data science skills to add business value. This role will also partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Professional Services and Partners to accelerate end-user adoption.

How you’ll make an impact 

• Work closely with Dataiku’s customers, focusing on onboarding, increasing user adoption, retention, and satisfaction.
• Possess deep technical knowledge of the Dataiku platform to educate customers on best practices within the Dataiku platform. 
• Develop a deep understanding of customer business, use cases, and outcomes to guide their success with Dataiku's products and services.
• Execute demonstrations of new product features and conduct hands-on workshops in collaboration with the Sales Engineers. 
• Establish regular touchpoints with customers to advise users on using Dataiku for their specific business needs, including hands-on support as appropriate.
• Execute programs to create self-sustaining enablement and evangelism of Dataiku within customer accounts.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to drive customer engagements with the Dataiku platform and identify opportunities for expansion (both software and professional services) that can drive additional value for customers.
• Document and share the adoption status and key information to inform internal forecasting and renewal.
• Collaborate with other Dataiku functions (such as marketing) on capturing and sharing the customer stories publicly. 
• When identifying technical issues that block user adoption, coach administrators and users to initiate support tickets for timely resolution. 
• Stay current on Dataiku’s products, competitive landscape, and data science trends.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

What you’ll need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of four years of experience in sales engineering, technical or solutions consulting, post-sales technical delivery, or data science roles with a proven track record of customer trust and satisfaction.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills, capable of engaging both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in building and operating communities of practice.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, build consensus, foster accountability, and work with urgency to deliver customer outcomes.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud, you will own the design, delivery, and operation of critical cloud services, driving architectural decisions and ensuring systems meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and scalability.

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000 + bonus + benefits. 

As a Senior MuleSoft Engineer, you will design and deliver API-led integration solutions on Anypoint Platform — directly with clients, from discovery through go-live. You'll drive architecture decisions, protect margin through scope discipline, and build the kind of trusted client relationships that turn one engagement into many.
