The impact you will have:

• Form successful relationships with customers throughout your assigned territory, providing technical and business value to Databricks customers in collaboration with Account Executives.
• Operate as an expert in big data analytics to excite customers about Databricks. You will develop into a ‘champion’ and trusted advisor on multiple areas of architecture, design, and implementation to lead to the successful adoption of the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
• Adopt a builder-first approach: move quickly from customer problem to working prototype by writing code, building demos, and creating reusable assets that accelerate customer outcomes. Use AI tools to increase your productivity and drive innovation.

What we look for:

• The ideal candidate has 2+ years of technical experience in a customer-facing solutions engineering role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience
• Demonstrates a builder mindset: preference for hands-on prototyping and learning-by-doing, with comfort using AI-assisted development tools to move faster

About the Role

We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer with deep roots in adtech infrastructure and a genuine conviction about what AI-native engineering looks like in practice. This role is backend-focused at its core — you'll work on the systems that power our exchange, from bid request processing and traffic shaping to data pipelines and auction logic. But we're also at an inflection point in how we build software, and we want this person to help lead us through it.

From a generative/agentic AI capabilities standpoint, we already use LLMs and agentic tooling across our data stack and, we’re looking for is someone who can help us take that from general adoption to intentional practice — who has strong opinions about where AI creates real leverage in a high-throughput adtech environment, and who can bring the rest of the engineering organization along with them.

Languages/components/tools in our stack: Java, Kafka (Redpanda), AWS, Databricks, Datadog, ONYX.

What you'll be doing:

• Own the design and evolution of backend systems that operate at exchange scale — high throughput, low latency, always on
• Lead architectural decisions across auction infrastructure, bid processing, traffic shaping, and supply-side integrations
• Establish and champion AI engineering practices across the team — from prompt engineering and RAG patterns to agentic workflow design and LLM evaluation
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to apply AI in our adtech stack: traffic scoring and filtering, bid shading, yield optimization, anomaly detection, and automated decisioning
• Set standards for how we evaluate, trust, and operate AI-powered systems in production — including observability, fallback behavior, and model governance
• Drive technical standards, design reviews, and engineering best practices across a senior team
• Partner with product, data science, and platform teams to ship end-to-end
• Help the broader engineering team build fluency and confidence with AI tooling, not just tolerance of it

A successful candidate will have:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong backend track record
• 5+ years working specifically in adtech infrastructure — SSP, DSP, exchange, or ad server environments
• Deep fluency in the programmatic ecosystem: OpenRTB, bid request/response flows, auction mechanics, supply path optimization, or similar
• Experience building and operating systems at exchange scale — high QPS, strict latency budgets, fault tolerance
• Demonstrated experience leading AI or agentic engineering efforts in production environments — not just experimentation, but shipped, operated, and iterated on
• Hands-on experience with LLM integration patterns: RAG, tool use, multi-step agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals: messaging, caching, service architecture, observability
• Comfort driving technical decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• A point of view on where AI is and isn't the right tool — and the credibility to make that case

• 5+ years working specifically in adtech data infrastructure, SSP, DSP, exchange, or ad server environments

• Excellent understanding of real-time streaming and batch pipelines, big data, and data lakes; hands-on experience in distributed data processing in the AWS ecosystem
• Strong understanding of second-layer big data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, applicable use cases, best practices, implementation, and support considerations
• Strong experience in structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data techniques; metadata management, data lineage, and data governance
• Experience with data security and compliance (PII, CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience leading AI or agentic engineering efforts in production environments; not just experimentation, but shipped, operated, and iterated on

The base salary range for this position is $101,000 - $129,000. Actual compensation is determined by job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

The expected salary range for this role is $114,192 - $142,740. The Customer Problem

When you open Spotify, the homepage is different for every user. When you browse Nike's site, products are ranked by what Nike thinks you'll buy. When you log into Chase, offers are tailored to your spending. This is web and mobile personalization: deciding in real time what each customer sees inside your product. It directly moves conversion, retention, and revenue at the point where customers are already engaged.

Almost nobody does it well outside of companies that build it from scratch. A single experiment (testing whether high-spend users convert better seeing a loyalty upsell on the account page) requires an analyst to build the segment, a PM to write targeting rules, a designer to create variants, an engineer to instrument the test, and someone to monitor results. Most teams run 5–10 per quarter and end up with a handful of static rules covering a fraction of their users.

The tools that exist (Optimizely, Adobe Target) handle infrastructure but don't solve the coordination problem. Every experiment, audience, and piece of content still requires manual configuration. The Problem

Every large advertiser runs the same loop: strategist reviews performance data, decides what to test next, briefs a designer, waits for assets, hands them to a media buyer who builds campaigns across Meta and Google and TikTok, launches, monitors, repeats. The process is slow because creative production, campaign management, and performance analysis happen in three separate systems, and insights travel between them through decks, Slack threads, and weekly syncs.

Companies like Nike, Uber, and PepsiCo spend millions per month on digital ads and employ entire teams just to keep this loop turning. Most teams run 10 to 15 creative tests per month because every test requires manual work across multiple tools and teams. The result: most ad spend runs against stale creative, performance degrades from fatigue, and the gap between "what's working" and "what gets made next" is measured in weeks.

Why Agents Change This

Advertising is uniquely high-leverage for AI agents because nearly every step in the workflow is now automatable, and the steps compound:

• Research. Agents can continuously monitor competitor ad libraries, auto-classify creative by format, hook, and message, and surface positioning gaps. What used to require a strategist spending hours in Meta Ad Library happens in the background, always current.

You will lead the Agentic Ads Platform. The foundation exists (customers generating ads today), and the opportunity is turning it into the platform that closes the full advertising loop. Four major areas of work:

• Multi-model creative generation. Today the platform generates static images. The roadmap includes video generation, motion graphics, format adaptation, and multi-model orchestration (routing to the best model for each task). Building a creative generation pipeline that produces broadcast-quality output across formats is a hard, high-value problem.
• Marketing context and brand adherence. Making agents genuinely trustworthy for enterprise creative teams. Better context engineering so agents follow brand guidelines, business rules, legal requirements, and channel-specific policies without constant human correction. The gap between "AI-generated ad" and "ad our brand team would actually approve" needs to shrink dramatically.

We are looking for a Staff AI Productivity Engineer to accelerate how our engineering organization works with AI coding tools. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building infrastructure, tooling, and documentation that makes AI agents dramatically more effective across our codebase.

We're hiring a seasoned Revenue Operations leader who moves fast, thinks from first principles, and measures themselves on unlocking performance in our GTM organization.

Hightouch has grown from 10 to 50+ account executives in under two years. That kind of growth creates complexity — in territories, in pipeline, in forecasting, in comp — and we need someone who can cut through it quickly, surface what actually matters, and iterate their way to better answers. This is not a role for someone who optimizes existing playbooks. It's for someone who questions whether the playbook is right in the first place and drives real impact on our revenue teams as a result.

This role reports to our CFO and CRO. You'll be hands-on-keyboard from day one while also building the foundation for how RevOps scales at Hightouch.

• Drive fast, data-driven decision-making with sales leadership and the executive team. Surface insights by having a point of view and pressure-testing it quickly with data.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 5+ years of progressive enterprise pre-sales or solutions engineering experience, including complex solution architecture across multi-stakeholder buying cycles.

About the Role

In the last 12-18 months, Hightouch has been adopted by larger and larger customers and enterprises. These enterprises have both high data scale as well as complex organizations with many individuals and teams using Hightouch on a daily basis. The Control Plane team focuses on building user-friendly but powerful tools and products for enterprises to efficiently onboard onto Hightouch and manage and scale their Hightouch deployments.

We’re looking to add a product-minded backend engineer to the team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable diving deep into backend, distributed systems, and asynchronous workflows and think holistically about architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability. We are also looking for someone with strong customer and product thinking and who feels comfortable writing and engaging with product specs.

Some of the problems we’ll be working on include:

• Roles, Permissions, and Access Control: We have a flexible and powerful access control framework that allows enterprise admins to configure the right level of permissions for different groups of users and teams within their company. As Hightouch expands our product lines, the Control Plane team will also adapt and extend our access control capabilities to support that growth.
• Change Management: When a customer’s underlying data model or data warehouse changes, this can have downstream impact on their Customer Studio schema, audiences, and other syncs and data pipelines. What tools can we build for admins to better manage these types of changes at scale?
• Data Warehouse Performance and Costs: As customers continue to adopt Hightouch within their organizations and their usage of Hightouch grows, they’ll drive more warehouse activity and compute from Hightouch. How can we help admins better understand and optimize warehouse performance and costs as a result of Hightouch activity?

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $260,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. Who You Are:

Working as part of the derivatives engineering team, you are an expert on data pipelining and API development. You have knowledge surrounding common derivatives pricing frameworks and inputs for different tradable assets, and how these inputs are derived.
