Build & Grow Developer Relations Team enables our most strategic customers to effectively use MongoDB technology. This team is the tip of the spear within these accounts, working with their developers as well as key internal MongoDB stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing), to encourage adoption of MongoDB solutions. We're seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to join our team and drive developer enablement. 

Our mission is to capture the imagination of new and potential MongoDB developers within these accounts, to enable developers as they begin their MongoDB journey, and to lead developers in designs for new or replatformed workloads. Our team increases developers’ effective use of MongoDB and reduces the time it takes for developers to meaningfully use the platform. You will join a team of our most experienced engineers and host virtual and in-person engagement with customers throughout the world. Our Developer Relations teams are distributed around the world and a majority of the group works remotely. This is a UK / Europe based role primarily working with customers in the region.

Candidate Profile

As a Senior Developer Advocate, you are a competent developer ready to peer, mentor, and lead development teams as they solve their enterprise's most critical data issues. You are familiar with MongoDB or other data technologies and otherwise have the ability to quickly become proficient in MongoDB, possess insight into developer enablement programs and have the ability to guide development teams in the adoption of new technologies.

You’re an excellent public speaker and are comfortable delivering live enablement sessions to technical audiences of up to 400 or more. Your recent experience includes directly enabling developers and architects with data-related challenges and moving them toward solutions for their real-world performance and scalability problems. As a bonus, your experience also includes exercising soft leadership with decision makers in organizations for defining, adopting, and scaling data-related technologies.

With a combination of software engineering, solutions development, consulting experience, and developer relations, you have a deep understanding of developer ecosystems and how developers best acquire fluency in new technologies. You have a solid working knowledge of databases, database performance, schema design, and optimizing production applications at scale. You employ a well-developed consulting method that allows you to quickly triage situations to understand the most critical issues at hand and to address them efficiently.  Finally, you excel at explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms and have a natural ability to connect and communicate with developers of various skill levels.

Position Expectations

• Become a Subject Matter Expert on document schema design
• Develop an understanding of core MongoDB database functionality and Atlas features such as Search, Vector Search, Data Federation, Online Archive, and Streaming
• Deliver Design Review sessions to customer development teams in order to guide their design and use of MongoDB document schemas for their specific workloads
• Communicate insights gathered from developer engagement, through code and content, to inform team members and enable other developers
• Deliver virtual and in-person developer enablement sessions to audiences of up to 400 developers
• Create language-specific or other content in your area of expertise to evangelize and educate various developer communities

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in both customer-facing and developer-centric roles such as Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Developer Relations, working with development teams in the design of document schemas and high performance, scalable database implementations
• At least 3 years of experience (or the equivalent) of consulting with development teams as a non-member of the team
• Proficiency with at least one of the languages most popular with our customers (Java, Python, Javascript)
  Familiarity with 2 or more of the languages popular with our customers (Java, Python, Javascript or Typescript, C#, Rust, PHP)
• Experience in creating effective developer-focused code and content
• Strong presentation skills, with ability in conducting live streams, or public speaking at events
• Written and spoken English language proficiency
• Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%) primarily within the UK, Europe, with some travel to India / Asia.

What you'll do

Build and Ship LLM-Powered Features

• Architect and deliver production agentic workflows — both ambient (background agents that enrich, monitor, summarise, and surface insights across NewsWhip's data continuously) and interactive (user-facing tool-using agents that respond to journalist and PR analyst queries in real time).

• Own the design of LLM-powered content enrichments that feed directly into customer reporting, alerts, and intelligence briefings — turning raw news signals into structured, decision-ready outputs.

• Lead the technical direction for tool-augmented LLM systems, including MCP-compatible services, function-calling patterns, and multi-step reasoning workflows.

• Make architecture-level decisions about when to use retrieval, when to use agents, when to fine-tune, and when a smaller model or classical NLP approach is the right answer.

• Define structured prompting standards, output schemas, and reusable patterns that the wider engineering team can build on.

Drive Quality, Evaluation, and Observability

• Set the bar for how NewsWhip evaluates LLM systems — offline benchmarks, online experimentation, regression detection, and human-in-the-loop review.

• Own guardrails for safety, hallucination reduction, factual grounding, and output consistency in a domain (news and media intelligence) where accuracy is non-negotiable.

• Build observability into every LLM feature: tracing, cost tracking, latency budgets, quality metrics, and drift monitoring.

• Make pragmatic trade-offs between model quality, latency, and cost — and be accountable for them.

Retrieval, Embeddings, and Semantic Infrastructure

• Evolve the embedding and semantic search infrastructure that underpins NewsWhip's intelligence layer, including chunking strategies, hybrid search, and re-ranking.

• Improve retrieval relevance as one component of a broader agentic architecture — not as an end in itself.

Lead Technically and Influence Cross-Functionally

• Partner with Product, and UX  to translate ambiguous AI ideas into shipped features customers actually rely on.

• Lead technical design discussions and represent the AI team in architecture decisions.

• Raise the bar through code review, mentorship, and writing — help less experienced engineers grow into strong AI practitioners.

• Stay close to the frontier: evaluate emerging models, frameworks, and techniques and bring the right ones into the stack.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for an experienced and highly technical Senior Applied AI/ML Scientist who embraces challenges, practices a growth mindset, and is eager to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions to business leaders and to NewsWhip’s by Sprout Social customers. 

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building and operating production software systems.

• 2+ years hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features in real-world applications.

• Strong backend engineering skills (Python preferred). 

• Experience with several of the following:

The Role

As the Content Strategist, you are the editorial voice and narrative lead for Aiven. You create high-impact stories tailored to two distinct audiences: the Developer/Architect and the Senior Executive/CTO. You are responsible for the entire content lifecycle: from high-level strategy and mapping the buyer journey to hands-on finessing of technical copy. You will collaborate closely with domain experts (Engineers, Product Managers, DevRel) to translate complex infrastructure topics into compelling, authentic stories. Key Responsibilities

• Persona-Driven Content Mapping: Own the matrix of "Who, What, and Where." You will define which topics, language, and medium (Blogs, Whitepapers, Videos, Code Snippets) are required to move a Developer through a trial and a CTO through an enterprise deal.
• Manage a high-velocity calendar that balances user content (how-to guides, performance benchmarks, API documentation) with executive content (ROI studies, POV topical pieces, industry thought leadership).
• Partner with Aiven’s domain experts to extract their knowledge. You will take raw technical drafts and polish them into high-value assets, ensuring the language is sophisticated enough for an engineer but accessible enough for a busy leader.
• You will use LLMs to rapidly brainstorm angles, draft outlines, and transform a single technical interview into 10+ multi-channel assets, from a LinkedIn thread to an executive summary.

Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years in content strategy or technical editing. Proven experience in B2B Infrastructure, Cloud, or Open-Source a major plus. You must be able to "talk shop" with engineers and product managers.
• Experience working with Product Marketing messaging frameworks to create cohesive, unified content journeys.
• You can clearly articulate the different motivations of a user vs. a buyer. You know that they care about different things and have different pain points. 
• You have a natural ability to spot marketing fluff and replace it with technical substance and real-world evidence.
• You use AI tools as a force multiplier to scale content without sacrificing the soul of the technical narrative.

Intercom’s Machine Learning team is responsible for defining new ML features, researching appropriate algorithms and technologies, and rapidly getting first prototypes in our customers’ hands.

We are an extremely product focussed team. We work in partnership with Product and Design functions of teams we support. Our team's dedicated ML product engineers enable us to move to production fast, often shipping to beta in weeks after a successful offline test.

We are very passionate about applying machine learning technology, and have productized everything from classic supervised models, to cutting-edge unsupervised clustering algorithms, to novel applications of transformer neural networks. We test and measure the real customer impact of each model we deploy.

We plan to double in size, and are on the lookout for an experienced manager to manage a team of highly-performing ML scientists. Engineering managers in Intercom are not just people managers: they also have a track record of IC contributions, and can stay close to the work of their team. We won’t ask you to write code every day, but you should feel comfortable giving technical advice to your team and having a good deep grasp of what it should (or shouldn’t!) work on (and maybe even do an occasional code review or a PR).  

What will I be doing? 

• Managing, mentoring and coaching a team of 10+ ML scientists, spread across our three offices in Dublin, London and Berlin. 
• Collaborating with ML, engineering, product, and design leaders to shape work of the team and the impact it has on our products.

• Expanding the team and promoting its brand both internally and externally (recruitment, event planning, etc.).

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability infrastructure  leveraging automation, infrastructure-as code, and advanced monitoring. You’ll partner closely with our application engineering teams to ensure our services meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior SREs at Prove are responsible for driving 99.999% uptime for existing and developing products. Implementing, automating, and developing infrastructure are methods to these outcomes. Qualified candidates will be well versed in the difference between methods and ownership of outcomes and be able to demonstrate and document their previous relevant experience. 

Lead

• Contribute to infrastructure system design and application architecture within Platform Engineering and across engineering teams
• Develop and implement infrastructure-as-code standards using tools like Terraform and/or OpenTofu
• Act as a strong technical partner with our engineering teams
• Champion observability with product owners and engineering teams

Optimize

• Improve new and existing systems by increasing reliability, performance, and scalability
• Automate routine operational tasks to reduce toil and improve efficiency
• Ensure infrastructure security compliance and implement least-privilege access controls
• Enhance existing CI/CD pipelines and feedback loops for maximum reliability
• Enable auto-scaling infrastructure based on custom metrics for applications and critical observability infrastructure

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation every 6-7 weeks, respond to our most critical alerts and resolve challenging events
• Conduct thorough post-incident reviews and implement preventative measures
• Use observability data to perform root cause analysis and identify system improvements

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Software Engineering roles with a strong infrastructure, operations, and/or production engineering aspect also qualify.
• 2+ years of experience in technical project leadership
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Expert knowledge of observability platforms and practices (e.g., tracing, metrics, logging) with hands-on experience using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry 
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration and Gitops methodologies
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, Spacelift, OpenTofu)
• Skilled proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures
• Experience working in a high compliance environment
• Hand-on experience instrumenting code with OpenTelemetry
• Deep familiarity with service mesh technologies 
• Contributions to open-source projects
