The Database Experience team builds the libraries and tools that developers use day-to-day working with MongoDB. Our mission is to increase developer adoption, satisfaction and retention by providing a reliable, enjoyable interface for developers and other end-users.

For this role, we're looking for someone who would enjoy designing, writing, and supporting open-source libraries using MongoDB. You will have the opportunity to work with other veteran Java programmers, as you deepen your knowledge of the Java ecosystem, and help streamline and increase the adoption of MongoDB.

You'll have responsibilities beyond writing code, including

• Working with our Product, Server, Cloud, and other driver teams on designs and specifications for new customer-facing MongoDB features

What you'll do

You'll help define and deliver the next generation of Stripe's Flink-first stream compute infrastructure—driving innovation to meet extremely high availability targets at global scale. Partnering with infrastructure engineers, adjacent platform teams, and the product orgs that depend on Flink every day, you'll set a long-term technical direction that scales with Stripe's growth while enabling reliable, efficient operations for years to come. You'll work on the hardest problems in operating Flink in production—state management, exactly-once processing, performance isolation, and automated recovery—so teams across Stripe can confidently build stateful stream processing applications on top of it.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate stream compute infrastructure with Apache Flink at the center, alongside technologies like Kafka, Temporal, and AWS services
• Partner with product and platform teams across Stripe to understand requirements, unblock Flink adoption, and improve how stream processing infrastructure is used end-to-end
• Define and implement operational best practices (e.g., shuffle sharding, cellular architecture, load shedding, automated state recovery) to improve resilience and reliability at scale
• Drive fleet-level automation and standardization ("pets" to "cattle") through self-service workflows, safer rollouts, and self-healing systems that reduce manual operations
• Lead initiatives that raise the bar on Flink availability and state durability (e.g., multi-region strategies, disaster recovery readiness, operational readiness reviews, incident learning)
• Evaluate and productionize Flink ecosystem capabilities (e.g., SQL, connectors, state backends) to improve developer experience and scalability without compromising reliability
• Work closely with the open source community to identify opportunities for adopting new open source features as well as contribute back to OSS

We’re looking for a Lead, Software Development to help us build and lead a high-performance team that solves challenging engineering problems as we build the next generation of social products. Compensation Details

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $155,000-$185,000/yr in Denver, $170,000-$200,000/yr in Los Angeles, and $190,000-$220,000/yr for San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Reverse ETL product engineering team.

Formerly Census, we were acquired in May 2025 to augment Fivetran’s warehouse-first data movement product story. Now we’re integrating our entire product directly into the Fivetran dashboard, bringing best-in-class data activation to every Fivetran customer.

As a staff software engineer in Reverse ETL, you’ll be on the front lines of integrating data activation capabilities into the Fivetran product along every dimension – UI, authentication, billing, data model, and more. You’ll be a senior member of a distributed, collaborative, agile team of engineers of varying experience levels and diverse backgrounds.

This is a full-time position based out of our Toronto office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team

Technologies You’ll Use

About the Role:

As a Software Engineer on the ML Infrastructure team, you will collaborate closely with the Machine Learning and Product teams to build world-class machine learning inference platforms. These platforms power essential services like personalized recommendations, search, and content understanding across Tubi.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable, high throughput, and low latency distributed systems using Scala
• Build reusable components and services that serve various ML applications like Personalization, Search, Ads and Exploration
• Partner closely with ML engineers to understand their challenges and limitations and develop scalable solutions to address them. Proactively recommend solutions to keep our ML Inference stack state of the art.

Your Background:

• Experience building online microservices at scale with low latency serving
• Experience with both SQL (e.g. Postgres) and NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra), message brokers (e.g. Kafka), and caches (e.g. Redis)
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Led the response and resolution efforts for multiple major, large-scale incidents

Bonus:

As a Solutions Architect at Databricks within the Field Engineering org you will partner with our customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services.
