JOB SUMMARY
The Code Enforcement Officer II is a journey level position on the CSG Code Enforcement career ladder that allows the incumbent to further learn and develop a more advanced level of knowledge in code enforcement and abilities as a Code Enforcement Officer. Under general supervision, incumbents perform a variety of office and field tasks to ensure compliance with State and local codes and regulations in support of a jurisdiction’s local code enforcement program. Employees at this level are expected to perform with the same independence of discretion and judgment on matters allocated to the journey level.
This position requires the ability to work independently and address a larger range of code enforcement duties, and successfully manage assigned code enforcement tasks. AIR seeks a Senior Researcher for the Human and Community Development program to advance evidence and practice related to suicide prevention in the military, law enforcement, and community with an understanding on broad safety and justice systems. This position will focus on prevention science with emphasis on preventing violence and other forms of harmful behaviors. The Senior Researcher will lead and/or manage complex research and evaluation efforts; collaborate with internal and external partners, including federal, state, and local agencies; and contribute to strategic visioning that strengthens suicide prevention and safety outcomes, and provide mentorship and guidance to teams. JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Plan Check Engineer position is responsible for the technical review of construction documents related to residential, multi-family, and commercial construction. Review drawings, calculations, soils reports and other documents for conformance with the requirements of the California Building Standards Codes and Reference Standards. Uses engineering judgment to assess the adequacy of a design to address life-safety review, structural review, or other aspects of the code. This position has a thorough knowledge of construction inspection and plan review protocols, policies, and procedures.
