We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with strong experience in Linux networking and backend development (Go as primary, PHP for API layer) to help shape the next iteration of our SASE platform.

You will work on core gateway components, networking features, and backend services, improving performance and reliability of systems operating at scale.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working close to the Linux networking stack, understand advanced networking concepts, and are comfortable solving complex, high-impact production problems.

What You Will Do:

• Design and develop backend services and APIs for SASE control plane and gateway orchestration

#ENGINEERING

As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluations (POVs). Sales Engineers help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners and have a voice with the product team to help prioritize features based on input from customers, competitors, and partners.

The Role — Interstellar Squad

The Interstellar Squad owns a core part of our commercial platform: the billing run — a mission-critical, high-volume pipeline that turns large-scale usage data into timely, accurate invoices for customers worldwide. We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for Interstellar, raise the engineering bar across the squad, and guide delivery of a platform that has to stay correct, predictable and scalable as the business grows.

We’re currently seeking a full-stack QA Engineer to join a new, challenging project within the IntelliJ IDEA team – the IntelliJ LSP initiative. This role requires adaptability, multitasking, and a hands-on approach to maintain a high quality while supporting rapid product iteration.

As part of our team, you will: 

• Manage project quality: monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure results meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with development and product teams on development tasks.
• Test new and existing functionality.
• Search for and localize bugs.
• Create test documentation.
• Define our testing strategy. 
• Create and maintain automated tests. 
• Set up test infrastructure.

• Have experience with at least one OOP programming language, preferably Java or Kotlin.

• Are familiar with some CI/CD tools.

• You have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Java; familiarity with other scripting languages like Python, Scala or PHP is a plus.

• Knowledgeable about container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB preferred but not required.

E-Commerce Platform is a cross-functional team within the Core Experience organization at Box, responsible for building the systems that enable all existing and prospective customers of any size and scale to purchase, adopt, and manage their Box subscription through our self-service experiences. This work will help Box expand into new international markets, provide all customers access to Box’s full suite of offerings, and enhance our pricing & discount offer engine to fuel business growth.
