About the Role

We're looking for an ML Engineer with 5+ years of production experience to strengthen our ML team. We operate as an internal service and centre of excellence for 10+ product teams at Fundraise Up. This means you won't be tied to a single feature: one day you might be optimising donation amounts and upsell offers, and the next you could be building a smart assistant for the admin panel or working on transaction classification.

We actively use not only classical ML, but also RL, and we're expanding our LLM-based solutions — prompt engineering and pipeline design with LLM APIs (OpenAI and equivalents). About the Role

We're looking for an ML Engineer with 5+ years of production experience to own a high-impact client intelligence initiative. Following a successful proof-of-concept with an external consultant, we are bringing this project fully in-house. The ultimate goal is to generate a comprehensive, enriched list of all potential clients globally — understanding their product requirements, industry verticals, and overall revenue potential — and deploy a scoring model that feeds directly into our sales pipeline.

This is an end-to-end ownership role. You will build from the ground up: data collection, enrichment, modeling, and production deployment. The project is co-managed by company executives and has a high strategic value.

What You’ll Do

• Build a market intelligence data-base via collecting different types of data (scraping, enrichment), fixing data pipeline and creating an ML model for scoring and analysis of the raw data.

About the role

Throughput. Latency. KV cache utilization.

Move those three numbers in the right direction, and two things happen: customers get faster, cheaper inference, and our margins improve. That's the entire thesis of this role. Every kernel you tune, every quantization scheme you ship, every scheduler tweak you land shows up directly in a customer's p99 and on our P&L.
This is a high-impact seat. It is also a high-autonomy seat as you'll be given the room to lead the technical direction of inference optimization at Kimchi, not execute someone else's roadmap.

The problem: running LLMs in production is a moving target. The "right" model and serving configuration for a workload depend on traffic shape, sequence-length distribution, batch dynamics, GPU SKU, memory bandwidth, quantization tolerance, and a dozen other variables that shift week to week. Most teams pick a model once, over-provision GPUs, and absorb the cost. Kimchi is the system that makes that decision automatically - continuously matching workloads to the most cost-efficient, best-performing LLM and serving configuration on a customer's infrastructure. We're building the optimization layer between the model and the hardware, and we need engineers who understand both sides deeply.

• Fluency with quantization tradeoffs - you've measured quality regressions, not just compression ratios.

• A bias toward measurement. You instrument before you optimize, and you can tell the difference between a real win and a benchmark artifact.

Responsibilities:

• Push throughput. Continuous batching, speculative decoding, chunked prefill, kernel-level tuning across vLLM, SGLang, and TensorRT-LLM. Find the ceiling on each GPU SKU, then raise it.
• Cut latency. Attack TTFT and TPOT separately. Profile, identify the actual bottleneck (compute, memory bandwidth, scheduling, networking), and fix it - not the bottleneck you assumed.
• Get more out of the KV cache. Paged attention, prefix caching, eviction policies, cache reuse across requests, quantized KV. This is where a lot of the unrealized throughput lives, and it's an area you'll own.
• Quantize without regressing quality. INT8, INT4, FP8 across weights, activations, and KV. Empirical work: measure quality on real workloads, not just perplexity benchmarks.
• Shrink cold starts and memory footprint. Faster init, smarter weight loading, tighter memory accounting - the difference between a model that scales and one that doesn't.
• Scale across nodes. Distributed inference topologies, network-aware placement, checkpointing strategies that don't bottleneck on storage or interconnect.
• Set the technical direction. Decide what we benchmark, what we adopt, and what we build ourselves. Bring the team along with strong writeups and reproducible experiments.

This role partners closely with our supplier, product (engineering, product management, and data product), marketing, commercial, compliance, privacy, legal and security teams to ensure that our products, services and platforms are designed, deployed, contracted and marketed in compliance with IP, data, and regulatory requirements as well as business needs. The ideal candidate will appropriately balance risk while optimizing business growth in providing legal guidance to our global commercial teams and through analysis and negotiation of technology and data licensing related agreements. Intellectual Property & Data Counseling

• Draft, negotiate, and advise the business on a variety of agreements and IP and technology clauses and legal issues in supplier, partner, and customer technology and data related agreements, including various supplier/partner terms (reseller, comarketing, co-selling, OEM, and more), data use, data licensing, AI/ML, software on-prem and SaaS platforms, IP development, IP ownership/licensing,  and other commercialization of IP and license grants, based on an understanding of the products, data, business and customer objectives, required flow down obligations, and legal positions.

• Serve as a primary legal advisor for product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.

• Support data monetization initiatives, including structuring agreements for data products and data-as-a-service (DaaS) offerings. 
• Assist with guidance on AI use, integration, and governance, including bias mitigation, transparency, and compliance with emerging AI regulations, with support from AI related counsel and manager. 
• Review product terms of service, EULAs, and developer agreements for IP and data issues, updates and compliance. 
• Partner with Privacy Counsel and Security teams to align product design with privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles.

Governance, Policy & Enablement

• Assist with Development and maintenance of IP, data, OSS/OD, marketing, patents, and trade-secret policies and guidelines, and related playbooks, questionnaires and templates. 
• Assist with training Product, Engineering, and Data teams on topics such as IP, data licensing, and open-source compliance. 
• Monitor regulatory developments in IP, data, and AI law; update stakeholders on emerging risks and opportunities. 
• Support internal/external audits, due diligence, compliance certifications, insurance inquiries, IP complaints and disputes, coordinate litigation strategy as needed, and other reviews related to IP and data governance.        

What we are looking for:

• Law Degree from an accredited institution (or relevant local equivalent); and qualified and admitted to practice law in local jurisdiction. 
• 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in IP and technology law, with significant exposure to data licensing and product counseling (at least 4 years in-house experience preferred; top law firm experience a plus). 
• Professional fluency in English for advanced legal reading, writing, and communication. 
• Hybrid [or full-remote option] supporting global needs, specifically supporting US Eastern and EMEA time zones regularly.  While the role is based on local working hours, the selected candidate is expected (consistent with the demands of an international legal practice) to participate in meetings, reviews, or time-sensitive legal matters occurring during the US Eastern and EMEA time zones. The role is task-based rather than hours-based; occasional late meetings may be required depending on business needs.

As Senior Data Scientist in the Risk and Fraud Management squad, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models that protect HelloFresh from fraud while enabling business growth through intelligent risk assessment. You will monitor model performance for anomalies and communicate insights with stakeholders to ensure optimal impact. Your work will be crucial to prevent payment and voucher fraud at checkout, and optimize the ship & collect process for recurring customers.
