WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Box is scaling Box AI and our internal analytics to power smarter decisions across the business.
You will design and deploy AI agents and operational solutions that strengthen both IT and business workflows. These agents will be engineered to minimize hallucinations and prioritize security in their models, data handling, and decision-making. You will also build and maintain MCP servers and developer tools that surface actionable data insights and make it easier for teams to act on them. Overall, your work will connect secure, reliable infrastructure with practical AI capabilities to accelerate informed, low-risk decision-making across the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL Do
Design, build, and deploy AI agents that automate and improve IT and business workflows while minimizing hallucinations and ensuring reliable outputs.
Implement model validation, monitoring, and fail-safe mechanisms to detect and reduce incorrect or risky agent behavior.
Architect secure data handling pipelines (ingest, storage, access controls, encryption) to protect sensitive information used by models and agents.
Develop and maintain MCP servers and developer tooling that surface actionable insights and make it easy for teams to query, debug, and act on model outputs.
Integrate observability and telemetry (logging, metrics, tracing) for agents and infrastructure to enable rapid incident detection, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.
Build role-based APIs and interfaces that allow business and engineering teams to safely interact with agents and automated workflows.
Create onboarding, documentation, and training materials to help teams adopt agents and follow best practices for secure, low-risk usage.
Collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams to define policies, access controls, and approval workflows for model deployment and data use.
Optimize infrastructure cost and reliability through capacity planning, fault tolerance, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for agent behavior and integrations.
Continuously evaluate new model architectures, tooling, and defenses to improve accuracy, reduce bias, and maintain a secure, scalable AI platform.
Define canonical schemas, metadata standards, and classification taxonomies to enable trusted decisions and secure data sharing between IT and business teams.
Create automated metadata pipelines using AI/NLP to extract, normalize, and enrich dataset context (ontology, definitions, sensitivity, lineage), and automate metadata population, semantic matching, and lineage inference for faster cataloging.
Develop AI agents and tooling that summarize dataset health, recommend joins/transformations, infer lineage, and route remediation tasks to owners.
Measure and report on adoption, data health, and governance maturity; iterate standards and tooling based on feedback and telemetry.
Mentor peers and evangelize best practices to raise organizational data maturity and enable reliable AI/analytics at scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Senior IT Platform & Identity Engineer will join a global team comprised of the most talented IT professionals in the industry. Box IT is looking for an exceptional candidate to support our IT Platform & Identity team across client endpoint management systems and various SaaS solutions, while also supporting our IAM ecosystem. As an IT Platform & Identity Engineer, you will work on a variety of different systems and software to maintain our corporate endpoint and mobile device ecosystem, support our Identity and Access Management strategy (IAMs), and build new integrations across various cloud services that support day-to-day operations for IT and Security. To succeed in this fast-paced, challenging position you will need to be a highly motivated problem solver, focused on frictionless outcomes in support of the best possible end user experience, and deeply passionate about all things IT.
Architect, build, operate, and optimize core IT systems across a variety of different software stacks and platforms in order to support the IT platform environment. This includes Windows, macOS, and SaaS applications (Okta, Duo, Box, Google Workspace, Splunk Cloud, JIRA, ServiceDesk, Confluence and more).
Develop and maintain documentation for systems and architectural standards.
Administer client platform management tools and frameworks. We use Kandji, Intune, Active Directory Entra & ADE, and continuously explore other solutions.
Manage and administer a mixed platform environment (macOS, iOS, Android & Windows) using the above client system management tools.
Develop and manage client administration tools/processes.
Streamline, implement, and iterate on current provisioning solutions.
Design and scale monitoring and alerting tools, in collaboration with other teams across IT.
Write modular, maintainable tooling in traditional and low-code systems such as Powershell, Python, Shell (zsh) and Okta Workflows, with a strong focus on automation to reduce repeated work and auto-remediation with low to no end-user involvement.
Regularly partner with the security team to ensure Box is a continued leader in the intelligent content management space.
Provide Tier III support and troubleshooting for complex issues escalated from the IT Support team.
Mentor more junior team members and provide direction and guidance when appropriate.
WHO YOU ARE:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems OR equivalent degree/experience.
6 or more years experience in client platform across macOS, Windows, iOS, Android and/or 6 years of direct experience in Identity and Access Management.
Proven experience and track record troubleshooting complex macOS and Windows problems in an enterprise environment with a strong emphasis on security.
Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory (and/or Entra ID), AD Group Policy.
Must have strong experience in IAM platforms such as Okta, Duo, PingFed, OneLogin, Entra ID, etc.
Experience with one or more programming languages relevant to scripting, automation, and interacting with APIs (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc).
Experience implementing and supporting IT applications and client platforms "at scale".
Strong ability to interact with and understand complex technical requirements across all levels of the organization.
Working knowledge of essential security concepts.
Strong ability to analyze and solve complex business problems.
Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including working with a geographically distributed team.
Strong organizational, planning, documentation skills & excellent attention to detail.
Box is a global enterprise with offices worldwide. Must be willing to occasionally adjust schedule to meet/work with team members in alternative timezones.
Preferred:
Two or more of the following certifications (or similar) preferred - CompTIA, A+, Network+, Security+, RHCE, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or other Microsoft Certifications, Apple Certifications, Jamf Certifications, CISSP, AWS, GCP, Okta Professional, Admin, Workflows or Developer.
Experience with Linux a plus
Experience writing apps/software for desktop OS’ a huge plus
Hands-on AI Platform (Gemini Enterprise, Claude, OpenAI, etc) knowledge a huge plus

We are looking for a Physical Security Technology Manager that will focus on keeping our Security Technology stack properly maintained, expanding it to new offices and spearheading integrations between our stack and other platforms. You will be the subject matter expert on anything hardware and software related that touches the Physical Security infrastructure.

Maintain the health of PACS and VMS systems globally by confirming firmware versions, rotating passwords and conducting system and user audits.

Track all assets within our environment and forecast refreshes and updates.
Work closely with internal and external groups to maintain uptime.
Find opportunities to take manual processes and automate them.
Serve as the subject matter expert on Physical Security systems for the company.
