Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Location: Playa Vista, California (in-person, five days per week)
Launch has changed the economics of space. Now it is time to return.
Outpost is building the missing infrastructure between orbit and Earth: reusable vehicles that can bring payloads back from space and deliver them to a precise location within hours. We call it exologistics, space-to-Earth logistics at planetary scale. This is not a paper concept or a distant roadmap. Our system is in active development, with core technologies advancing toward flight readiness.
The need is already here and the market has responded. We have validated demand through multiple defense and civil agreements, and a growing pipeline across government and commercial customers.
Outpost is building the logistics layer that makes space economically useful in a new way: the ability to move material from orbit to Earth quickly, reliably, and affordably. Over time, that supports point-to-point logistics, 10 tons of cargo, anywhere on Earth in an hour. It also creates the foundation for a reusable reentry network and enables new categories of space activity, including in-space manufacturing, supporting AI data centers, advanced manufacturing and novel materials.
We have a strong foundation, clear demand, and a technical path in front of us. Now the company is scaling rapidly. We are expanding the team, growing our operational footprint, and building the systems needed to execute at the next level. This is a chance to join a company with real traction, working on a problem that matters, at the point where execution and scale begin to define the outcome.
The Role
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will serve as the technical authority for the primary and secondary structures of Outpost’s Carryall. This is a role for a veteran structural engineer who has expertise on full-scale flight vehicles whether launch vehicles, satellites, or re-entry capsules. Unlike traditional space vehicle roles where the structure simply needs to survive launch, you are designing for the round trip: launch vibration, the harsh vacuum of orbit, and the extreme thermal and mechanical loads of hypersonic re-entry and landing. You will own the structural architecture of the vehicle, moving rapidly from trade studies to detailed analysis, and finally to hands-on integration. We need someone with the deep intuition that comes from 15+ years of seeing hardware fly (and fail).

The Role
Solar power isn’t a subsystem at K2, it’s the capability that makes everything else possible. Our arrays are what allow us to operate at power levels no satellite has ever sustained, across the most demanding orbits in the solar system. Getting that right, at scale, is one of the most consequential engineering challenges in the company.
As Head of Solar, you’ll own it entirely. From early-stage technology development and module innovation through design maturation, manufacturing, test, and on-orbit performance – the solar array program is yours to build and lead. You will grow a cross-functional organization spanning design, analysis, manufacturing, and integration, and set the technical direction and operational cadence needed to meet our most ambitious cost, schedule, and reliability targets.
The missions we’re building toward are unlike anything the industry has flown: extreme radiation environments, multi-year lifetimes, and production volumes that demand manufacturing infrastructure built for rate and not one-off heroics. This is a rare opportunity to define what world-class solar engineering looks like inside a vertically integrated space company, and to build the team and systems that make it real.

K2’s plan doesn't stop at satellite buses. Operating our own vehicles and manifesting regular rides to space uniquely positions K2 to design, test, and deploy-at-scale ambitious remote sensing payloads in MEO, GEO, cis-lunar, and deep space on unprecedented timelines. The satellite bus is the platform – the payloads are the mission.
There are any number of space-based optical payloads that can generate value here on Earth (ex. forest fire detection, climate and atmospheric monitoring, etc.) and further planetary science in our solar system (ex. hyper-spectral imaging, laser-altimetry) -- all of which benefit from precisely steered and stabilized large aperture optical systems for collecting and transmitting optical energy from the UV to the infrared.
As Principal Mechanisms Engineer, you will be responsible for defining how K2 designs, manufactures, tests, integrates, and deploys coarse pointing assemblies for large aperture optical payloads. The development timelines and manufacturing scale that we are targeting will require meaningful innovation, but you will have the resources and full support of K2 to make this possible and help raise the bar for the next generation of space technology companies.

For active optical payloads, high-power amplifiers and lasers that leverage K2’s on-orbit power capabilities will be a fundamental and enabling technology. Some of these near-term applications require the development of high-power, space-qualified fiber lasers and amplifiers in the near / short-wave infrared (ex. 1064nm) – but the future of atmospheric science and remote sensing will be unlocked by advances in space-qualified lasers in the UV and mid-IR.
As Principal Optical Amplifier / Laser Engineer, you will define how K2 develops, designs, manufactures, tests, and deploys high-power lasers and amplifiers across all active optical payloads. The development timelines, optical power levels, operating environments, and lifetimes we are targeting require meaningful innovation; you will have the resources and full support of K2 to make this possible and help raise the bar for the next generation of space technology companies.
Responsibilities
(1) system architecture, optical design, and performance budgets;
(2) electro-optical-thermal modeling, lifetime analysis, and mitigation of nonlinear and reliability risks;
(3) environmental qualification, and long-duration reliability testing;
(4) technical leadership of vendors and external partners, including component qualification, supply-chain development, and transition to volume manufacturing; and
(5) laboratory characterization, system-level validation, and mission readiness
... of high reliability fiber amplifier systems.

K2 is building the largest and highest-power satellites ever flown, unlocking performance levels previously out of reach across every orbit. Backed by $450M from leading investors including Altimeter Capital, Redpoint Ventures, T. Rowe Price, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Alpine Space Ventures, and others – with an additional $500M in signed contracts across commercial and US government customers – we’re mass-producing the highest-power satellite platforms ever built for missions from LEO to deep space.
The rise of heavy-lift launch vehicles is shifting the industry from an era of mass constraint to one of mass abundance, and we believe this new era demands a fundamentally different class of spacecraft. Engineered to survive the harshest radiation environments and to fully capitalize on today’s and tomorrow’s massive rockets, K2 satellites deliver unmatched capability at constellation scale and across multiple orbits.
With multiple launches planned through 2026 and 2027, we're Building Bigger to develop the solar system and become a Kardashev Type II (K2) civilization. If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and you're excited about contributing to the success of a groundbreaking Series C space startup, we’d love for you to apply.
The Role
K2’s plan doesn't stop at satellite buses, however. By operating our own vehicles and manifesting regular rides to space, K2 is uniquely positioned to design, test, and deploy-at-scale ambitious optical payloads in MEO, GEO, cis-lunar, and deep space on unprecedented timelines. The satellite bus is the platform – the payloads are the mission.
There are any number of space-based optical payloads that can generate value here on Earth (ex. forest fire detection, climate and atmospheric monitoring, etc.) and further planetary science in our solar system (ex. hyper-spectral imaging, laser-altimetry) -- all of which require payload-specific optics benches with spectral / spatial filters, beam-shaping optics, image scanning / stabilization mechanisms, electro-optical sensors, fiber-to-free space interfaces, etc. coupled to large aperture, diffraction-limited telescopes for collecting and transmitting optical energy from the UV to the infrared.
As an Optical Systems Engineer, you will contribute to defining how K2 designs, manufactures, tests, and deploys optics benches across K2’s optical payload suite. You will be involved in every phase of your optical system’s life cycle, from initial feasibility and architectural trade studies through manufacturing, ground testing, and on-orbit commissioning. The development timelines and manufacturing scale that we are targeting require meaningful innovation, but you will have the resources and full support of K2 to make this possible and help raise the bar for the next generation of space technology companies.
Responsibilities
… of optical benches for a suite of high-volume optical payloads operating in the UV / VIS / NIR / SWIR / MWIR / LWIR.

The Role
Critical to achieving K2's vision of deploying at scale across MEO, GEO, cis-lunar, and deep space are the solar arrays. Scaling to constellations requires engineers who can span technical domains from module technology and electrical power system interactions to soft goods, deployment mechanisms, structures, integration, and high-rate production.
You will drive the design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment of high-power solar arrays at production scale. The development timelines, operating environments, mission lifetimes, and cost targets we are pursuing demand meaningful innovation — you will tackle these challenges with the full resources and support of K2.

🚀Systems Engineer — Remote, Eastern Europe
FULLY REMOTE. MUST BE BASED IN EASTERN EUROPE
Role: Systems Engineer
Location: Fully Remote – Eastern Europe
About TubeScience
TubeScience is one of the fastest-growing performance video companies in the world. We use data, AI, and creative systems to produce video advertising at a scale and speed that no one else has figured out. Our engineering team builds the infrastructure that makes that possible — from AI agent pipelines to the ad operations tooling that drives hundreds of millions in client spend.
We are profitable, growing fast, and building in a space where the technical problems are genuinely challenging. You will be designing and owning systems that directly move business outcomes.
The Role
We're hiring a Systems Engineer to own the infrastructure that makes our AI platform reliable in production. That means the media pipelines, LLM routing layers, distributed data systems, and observability tooling that everything else depends on.
This isn't a role where you execute someone else's architecture. You'll be one of a small number of engineers who decides how these systems are built — and then builds them. The work ships fast, the feedback loop is short, and the impact is direct.
Fully remote, with meaningful overlap during afternoon hours in your timezone (CET/EET).
What You'll Own
Media ingestion platform — taking raw uploads all the way through validation, transcoding, staging, and lifecycle-aware storage management.
LLM infrastructure layer — routing requests across providers, normalizing outputs, applying semantic caching, and keeping things reliable under load.
Data platform — ingesting and indexing multi-modal data, powering retrieval and search, managing context assembly, and maintaining long-term data health.
Agent and platform operations layer — MCP servers, A2A dispatch, permissions infrastructure, and the observability layer that keeps everything visible and accountable.
Who You Are
You instrument and observe distributed systems end to end — not just reading dashboards, but designing for observability from the start
You've built and operated data engineering and ETL pipelines in production
You design clean, durable APIs across REST, gRPC, event-driven, and schema-based systems — comfortable with MCP, A2A, schema registries, and tool-calling normalization
You know media pipelines: transcoding, ffmpeg-like tooling, cloud storage, and large-object processing
Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and cloud storage-backed systems
Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Pulumi
Bonus Points
Experience integrating LLM/AI systems in production. You have worked with LLM APIs, provider routing, multi-provider abstraction, schema normalization across providers, structured output, semantic caching, agentic AI systems, and prompt engineering at the infrastructure layer.
Why TubeScience
We're experiencing exceptional growth in a contracting market. We combine startup agility with established financial stability. You'll work on exciting challenges with a brilliant team of like-minded professionals who value both technical excellence and creative problem-solving. You'll have immediate impact on critical systems and clear paths for professional advancement.
This isn't just another job - it's your chance to build something meaningful with people who are as passionate and talented as you are.

If you've worked alongside hardware teams, you know the damage that results from a missed change request or critical context that was never relayed to the right person. Reflow exists to close that gap. We're building the first AI-powered platform built for hardware product development, one that listens across the tools teams already use, maintains a structured picture of every program, and proactively coordinates across disciplines when things inevitably change.
This is an early role for a hands-on AI engineer to design and build the agents at the core of our platform, backed by a parent company with deep roots in engineering and manufacturing. You'll own the AI systems that set our product apart: agents that understand hardware workflows, anticipate problems, and take action on behalf of engineering teams.
We're looking for an AI engineer who works equally well in applied research and production software. You've shipped LLM-powered agent systems to real users, you have strong intuitions about prompt engineering, tool use, and orchestration patterns, and you keep up with a field that changes fast. You're comfortable evaluating new frameworks, models, and techniques on short cycles and making pragmatic build-vs.-adopt decisions as the landscape shifts.
We currently use LangChain's DeepAgent framework for our agent orchestration, but every layer of our AI stack is open to change. The right person for this role understands how agent systems work under the hood, not just one framework's abstractions, and can adapt as better tools and approaches emerge.
This senior engineer will work alongside our engineering team and head of product to build, optimize, and operate the AI agents that give users proactive coordination, risk surfacing, status summaries, and AI-generated deliverables. The role is hands-on. You'll write code daily while contributing to AI architecture decisions and helping define how we evaluate and evolve our agent capabilities over time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Must Have:
Highly Valuable:
Real Impact: The opportunity to build purpose-built tooling for an entire industry that has never had it
Customer Access: Direct exposure to hundreds of real hardware projects annually through Re:Build's engineering and manufacturing companies
Technical Growth: Hands-on work at the frontier of applied AI, solving novel agent design challenges with real-world feedback loops
Autonomy: Backed by Re:Build while operating with startup independence
Benefits: Full health/dental/vision, bonus program, generous 401K, paid time off, annual learning stipend
Equity & Growth: Participation in Re:Build's LTIP equity program and opportunity for founder equity in potential spin-out
Location: Remote-first, with preference for candidates in Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, or other cities with Re:Build offices
Compensation: Base salary range of $143,000 to $215,000 with performance bonus and long-term incentive plan offered. Potential equity stake under independent spinout scenario.
Please note this role is restricted to US citizens or lawful permanent residents only due to exposure to export controlled information.

The Opportunity
If you've worked alongside hardware teams, you know the damage that results from a missed change request or critical context that was never relayed to the right person. Reflow exists to close that gap. We're building the first AI-powered platform purpose-built for hardware product development, one that listens across the tools teams already use, maintains a structured picture of every program, and proactively coordinates across disciplines when things inevitably change.
This is a ground-floor opportunity for a hands-on frontend engineer to shape the user experience of a high-potential product with the support of a parent company leading innovation in engineering and manufacturing.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a frontend engineer who cares deeply about building interfaces that are fast, intuitive, and delightful. The ideal candidate has shipped production React applications and has strong opinions on component architecture and design systems. You should already be using AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude to accelerate your work, with excitement about building the product that finally replaces the spreadsheets and status meetings that hardware teams have been stuck with for decades.
This senior engineer will work alongside our engineering team and head of product to build the interfaces through which users manage structured engineering artifacts (requirements, project plans, dependencies), interact with ambient AI agents, and get real-time transparency into project health across disciplines. The role is hands-on - you will be coding daily while contributing to frontend architecture decisions and helping grow the design system as we scale.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
● Building production-grade React applications with TypeScript
● Developing and maintaining a shared component library
● Building rich interfaces for structured engineering data: requirements with traceability, phase/gate tracking, dependency graphs, task boards with discipline tags, and version-controlled project plans
● Building interfaces for AI agent interactions including streaming chat, proactive coordination alerts, and AI-generated status summaries and deliverables (proposals, SOWs, reports)
● Implementing portfolio-level dashboards for engineering leaders and executives showing cross-project cost, schedule, and risk
● Writing well-tested code with unit and end-to-end tests
● Collaborating with backend engineers on API integration and client SDK usage
● Contributing to frontend architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Technical Requirements
Must Have:
● 5+ years building production web applications, with 3+ years focused on React
● Demonstrated proficiency using AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development
● Expert-level expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
● Strong experience with component-driven development, design systems, and tools like Storybook
● Proficiency with CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred) and responsive design
● Experience with modern build tools (Vite, esbuild, or similar)
● Understanding of API integration patterns (REST, OpenAPI, generated clients)
● Ability to balance rapid iteration with maintainable, well-tested code
Highly Valuable:
● Have worked in early-stage 0 to 1 startup environments
● Familiarity with hardware development, engineering workflows, or project management processes
● Experience building UIs for AI/LLM-powered features (streaming responses, chat interfaces, structured AI output)
● Familiarity with headless component libraries (Base UI, Radix, Headless UI)
● Background in data visualization or dashboard-heavy applications
● Understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OIDC, JWT)
● Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress)
● Background in B2B SaaS platforms, project management tools, or technical collaboration products
