This is a C++ backend engineering role on a team building AI-driven power-user applications in the CAD/CAM space. You'll work closely with product engineering to integrate CAM and CAD libraries into our web-product via C++ powered web-services.

The ideal candidate is a CAD/CAM industry veteran or backend engineer with experience writing modern C++. Prior experience with writing and deploying C++ gRPC services or experience deploying C++ services and/or writing CAD/CAM applications is required. Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS and 4+ years in industry, or equivalent work experience
• Professional experience with modern C++17/20 (4+ years)
• Familiarity with CMake and C++ package managers like conan/vcpck
• Strong systems programming fundamentals: memory management, multithreading, performance profiling, debugging, etc.
• Prior experience working on teams building C++ codebases and maintaining them over time, or alternately, proven experience contributing to open-source C++ libraries with other contributors
• Prior experience with designing APIs (RPC, REST or GraphQL) and a sense for what constitutes good API design in one or more of these paradigms
• Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP and containerized deployment solutions like EC2/ECS/EKS or equivalent.
• Understanding of DevOps/SRE principles like continuous delivery, CI/CD pipelines, deployment environments, IaC, telemetry, observability, capacity planning, etc.
• Understand proper usage of git and docker/containers

Nice-To-Have's

• Experience writing and deploying C++ gRPC services in cloud environments
• Prior experience with geometric kernels like OCCT/OpenCASCADE (preferred), Parasolid, ACIS or similar is highly desirable
• Prior experience working with G-code, toolpaths or machining simulation will be a major advantage
• Experience with OpenGL/WebGL, three.js and/or 3D rendering in the browser

Compensation Range: Annual salary for this position is expected to be between $93,734 to $140,601, plus participation in our annual bonus plan and long term incentive plan. The actual pay may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.

This is a product-focused full-stack engineering role on a team building AI-driven power-user applications in the CAD/CAM space. You'll work across the entire stack—from crafting intuitive user experiences to building robust backend services—with a direct line of sight to how your work impacts real users.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS and 2 years in industry, or equivalent work experience
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, Svelte, Angular
• Proficiency in writing backend APIs in strongly typed languages such as TypeScript, C#, Java, Go, or equivalent
• Strong CS fundamentals - understanding of networking and web technologies like REST APIs, gRPC, web-sockets, databases, HTML, CSS, etc. as well as a grasp on common OOP, functional programming and software architecture concepts
• Deep experience with at least one relational or non-relational database
• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent providers like Azure or GCP
• Understand proper usage of git and docker/containers

Nice-To-Have's

The Opportunity

If you've worked alongside hardware teams, you know the damage that results from a missed change request or critical context that was never relayed to the right person. Reflow exists to close that gap. We're building the first AI-powered platform built for hardware product development, one that listens across the tools teams already use, maintains a structured picture of every program, and proactively coordinates across disciplines when things inevitably change.

This is an early role for a hands-on AI engineer to design and build the agents at the core of our platform, backed by a parent company with deep roots in engineering and manufacturing. You'll own the AI systems that set our product apart: agents that understand hardware workflows, anticipate problems, and take action on behalf of engineering teams.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an AI engineer who works equally well in applied research and production software. You've shipped LLM-powered agent systems to real users, you have strong intuitions about prompt engineering, tool use, and orchestration patterns, and you keep up with a field that changes fast. You're comfortable evaluating new frameworks, models, and techniques on short cycles and making pragmatic build-vs.-adopt decisions as the landscape shifts.

We currently use LangChain's DeepAgent framework for our agent orchestration, but every layer of our AI stack is open to change. The right person for this role understands how agent systems work under the hood, not just one framework's abstractions, and can adapt as better tools and approaches emerge.

This senior engineer will work alongside our engineering team and head of product to build, optimize, and operate the AI agents that give users proactive coordination, risk surfacing, status summaries, and AI-generated deliverables. The role is hands-on. You'll write code daily while contributing to AI architecture decisions and helping define how we evaluate and evolve our agent capabilities over time.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and iterating on LLM-powered agents that coordinate across engineering disciplines, surface project risks, and generate structured deliverables (proposals, SOWs, status reports)
• Owning the agent orchestration layer (currently LangChain DeepAgent) and continuously evaluating whether to extend, replace, or supplement it as new frameworks and patterns emerge
• Implementing robust tool-use patterns that connect agents to external systems (project management tools, CAD/PLM platforms, communication channels) via APIs and integrations
• Designing and tuning prompts, chains, and retrieval strategies to maximize agent reliability, accuracy, and usefulness across diverse hardware project contexts
• Building evaluation and observability infrastructure for agent performance, including tracing, cost tracking, latency monitoring, and automated quality benchmarks
• Developing streaming agent interfaces that surface real-time progress, reasoning transparency, and proactive alerts to end users
• Staying current with rapid advances in LLMs, agent frameworks, and related tooling, and translating that awareness into actionable recommendations for the team
• Collaborating with frontend engineers on the UX of AI-powered features and with backend engineers on data pipelines and API design
• Contributing to AI architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices

Technical Requirements

Must Have:

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience, with 2+ years focused on bringing LLM-based applications or agent systems to market
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development
• Hands-on experience building and deploying agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom orchestration
• Strong understanding of LLM fundamentals: prompt engineering, function/tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context window management, and token economics
• Proficiency with Python in production environments
• Experience integrating LLM-powered features with external APIs, databases, and third-party tools
• Experience designing and operating background job / async task pipelines (Celery, RQ, Temporal, or similar) for long-running agent runs and reliable retries
• Experience building multi-agent systems with planning, delegation, and inter-agent communication patterns
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt new AI tools and frameworks quickly, with a track record of staying ahead of a fast-moving field
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean architecture, testing, version control, and code review practices
• Ability to balance rapid experimentation with production-grade reliability

Highly Valuable:

• Direct experience with LangChain's DeepAgent or LangGraph for multi-step agent orchestration
• Background in evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs (automated scoring, human-in-the-loop evaluation, regression testing for prompts)
• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding pipelines (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar)
• Experience with model serving infrastructure, fine-tuning workflows, or model selection/routing strategies
• Understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OIDC, JWT) and secure handling of user data in LLM contexts
• Background in B2B SaaS platforms, project management tools, or technical collaboration products
• Familiarity with hardware development, engineering workflows, or project management concepts (phases, gates, dependencies, requirements traceability)
• TypeScript / React fluency, enough to pair with frontend engineers on streaming agent UIs and reasoning-transparency surfaces

This is a product-focused full-stack engineering role on a team building AI-driven power-user applications in the CAD/CAM space. You'll work across the entire stack—from crafting intuitive user experiences to building robust backend services—with a direct line of sight to how your work impacts real users.

Your First 6 Months

• Week 1-2: Ship your first contribution to the product.
• Months 2–3: Take ownership of major product areas and drive features end-to-end.
• Month 6: Become a subject matter expert in some aspect of our work—the person the team turns to for guidance in that area. Start spearheading broader technical initiatives needed by the team.

Compensation Range: Annual salary for this position is expected to be between $120,000 to $180,000 plus participation in our annual bonus plan and long term incentive plan. The actual pay may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS and 5+ years in industry, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Typescript and familiarity with common runtimes and build tools.
• Have one or more viable takes on how to build full-stack typescript projects, services and SDKs that can scale well for a team
• Familiarity with modern frontend framework such as React (preferred), Vue, Svelte, Angular, and demonstrable expertise with at least one of them
• Proficiency in writing, deploying and maintaining backend APIs in strongly typed languages such as TypeScript (preferred), Python, Go, C# or equivalent
• Prior experience with designing APIs across paradigms (REST, RPC, GraphQL) and a sense for what constitutes good API design in one or more of these paradigms
• Strong CS fundamentals - understanding of networking, common web technologies, distributed systems as well as a grasp on common OOP, functional programming and software architecture concepts.
• Deep experience with at least one relational and non-relational database and a keen grasp on differences between NoSQL and relational data-modeling
• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent providers like Azure or GCP, and proven experience evaluating and choosing infrastructure and services to meet your team/product’s needs
• Understanding of DevOps/SRE principles like continuous delivery, CI/CD pipelines, deployment environments, IaC (terraform preferred), telemetry, observability, capacity planning, etc.
• Understand proper usage of git and docker/containers

Nice-To-Have's

• Experience with three.js and 3D rendering in the browser
• Experience working with LLMs and building agentic systems
• Python3 proficiency, prior experience with data-engineering or MLOps
• Prior experience with tanstack query, router, start, shadcn-ui, tailwind, hono, trpc, etc.
• Prior start-up, early-stage or greenfield experience
• Personal projects/portfolio you would love to share and talk about
• Bonus points for some familiarity with C++ / cmake, CUDA, CAD, CAM, graphics APIs

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an individual to manage and develop drone component products that bring to bear the breadth of our capabilities.   These efforts are strategic and involve multiple functions, with high commercial value and technical and organizational complexity.   The Product Manager will draw on resources from our innovation, design, engineering, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.   They will draw from engineering and operational expertise to assist with customer relationships, marshal internal resources across multiple companies, and foster teamwork between Re:Build companies and clients. As an excellent communicator, the Product Manager is expected to have the foresight to identify and mitigate risks in advance, while balancing multiple, sophisticated programs in parallel.

As the Product Manager for Re:Build’s Drone Thesis, you will own requirements definition, product development, implementation of the manufacturing environment, and the program to achieve our goals. You will be accountable for ensuring that Re:Build delivers world-class drone components, integration, and design that meet the performance, safety, and reliability standards required across commercial, aerospace, government, and industrial sectors.

Reporting to the Drone Thesis Leader, this leadership role combines technical expertise with the ability to execute at a high level. You will guide a multi-disciplinary team through all phases of a program. 

What you get to do

• Manage profit and losses for drone product lines.
• Build and drive product plans from the ground up from initial requirements' statement, through to manufacturing, including developing manufacturing processes and facilities. 
• Lead product feasibility studies, technology development, product development, and transition to manufacturing for sophisticated products. 
• Partner with commercial market leads and finance leaders to develop market and customer financial assessments. 
• Assess financial models to ensure product pricing to ensure products are mutually beneficial for customers and Re:Build  
• Work across teams to identify project dependencies and build out detailed development cycle timelines. 
• Drive programs to completion while ensuring that the budget, resource, and timeline constraints are maintained. 
• Facilitate creative solutions to unanticipated events and unforeseen demands to ensure on-time delivery. 
• Facilitate regular communication between the client and site leads, and communication of project status to Re:Build leadership. 
• Assist with internal process development and standardization for product deployments. 
• Coordinate and track product certification efforts with regulatory bodies as needed. 
• Facilitate iterative product cost down efforts. 

What you bring to the Team

• BS degree in an engineering or technical field (electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering), or equivalent experience.   Advanced technical degree preferred. 
• Seven+ years of full-time work experience in product engineering and/or manufacturing environments, including two+ years managing teams as a product manager or functional manager.  
• Experience in drone product development and/or manufacturing preferred.
• A proven ability to influence others to work cooperatively and meet deadlines without having direct line supervisory responsibility. 
• Demonstrated success bringing technically complex programs or products to completion on-time and on-budget while providing exceptional service to customers. 
• Experience managing timelines, requirements, budgets, and metrics for technically complex products for commercial customers. 
• Experience handling timeframes for products subjected to regulatory certification like UL, CE, CSA, FAA etc. 
• Demonstrated ability to navigate supply chains for ordering processes and the associated lead times. 
• Certifications in Program and/or Project Management preferred. 
• Experience using project management tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, ClickUp, Asana, Confluence (or equivalent). 
• Experience using PDM or PLM systems as part of an engineering role. 

This role will require up to 20% travel. 

The preferred location for this role is Framingham, MA.
