Are you the type of person who sees a napkin sketch and already knows what tools, materials, and machines it'll take to bring it to life—by lunch?
Do you get a rush from turning the impossible into “it’s already on the bench”? Are you part engineer, part fabricator, part mad scientist? If you’re the kind of person who gets restless without a project to weld, wire, carve, print, or machine—read on.
We’re looking for a one-in-a-million rapid prototyping leader who can do more than run machines—you’ll run the whole lab. At Re:Build, we don’t want someone to follow the process—we want someone to create it. You’ll have wide latitude, a killer shop, and the mandate to go from idea to reality, fast.
This isn’t a job for someone who waits to be told what to do. We need a builder, hacker, fixer, maker, and doer. Someone who thrives in ambiguity and sees every sketch as a challenge to beat the clock and the spec.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

This is a C++ backend engineering role on a team building AI-driven power-user applications in the CAD/CAM space. You'll work closely with product engineering to integrate CAM and CAD libraries into our web-product via C++ powered web-services.
The ideal candidate is a CAD/CAM industry veteran or backend engineer with experience writing modern C++. Prior experience with writing and deploying C++ gRPC services or experience deploying C++ services and/or writing CAD/CAM applications is required. If you’re a team player who is happy to be the C++ subject-matter-expert on our team, we would love to bring you on board!
We're a team of developers who genuinely love what we do. We're passionate about building great products and obsess over the details that make software feel right.
We're also the kind of people who get excited about stepping outside our comfort zones. Whether it's picking up a new technology, diving into an unfamiliar domain, or tackling a gnarly technical challenge, we see those moments as opportunities to grow. If you're the type who lights up when facing a hard problem rather than shying away from it, you'll fit right in.
At ReCAM, we are building new, automation-first, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) applications. It’s early stage, which means we ship fast and adapt as we learn from user testing. At the same time, we strive for the kind of technical excellence that enables rapid development. If you enjoy building new and cool software – and the occasional game session – you’ll love it here!
Compensation Range: Annual salary for this position is expected to be between $93,734 to $140,601, plus participation in our annual bonus plan and long term incentive plan. The actual pay may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
You'll get a chance to meet the whole team you'd be working with daily.

This is a product-focused full-stack engineering role on a team building AI-driven power-user applications in the CAD/CAM space. You'll work across the entire stack—from crafting intuitive user experiences to building robust backend services—with a direct line of sight to how your work impacts real users.
But this isn't your typical full-stack role. Our team regularly dives into technically deep work: platform engineering, MLOps, systems-level challenges, and performance-critical code. We're looking for engineers who aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle complex problems outside the usual web development comfort zone.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about software engineering, cares deeply about the user experience, and thrives when facing technically demanding problems.

If you've worked alongside hardware teams, you know the damage that results from a missed change request or critical context that was never relayed to the right person. Reflow exists to close that gap. We're building the first AI-powered platform built for hardware product development, one that listens across the tools teams already use, maintains a structured picture of every program, and proactively coordinates across disciplines when things inevitably change.
This is an early role for a hands-on AI engineer to design and build the agents at the core of our platform, backed by a parent company with deep roots in engineering and manufacturing. You'll own the AI systems that set our product apart: agents that understand hardware workflows, anticipate problems, and take action on behalf of engineering teams.
We're looking for an AI engineer who works equally well in applied research and production software. You've shipped LLM-powered agent systems to real users, you have strong intuitions about prompt engineering, tool use, and orchestration patterns, and you keep up with a field that changes fast. You're comfortable evaluating new frameworks, models, and techniques on short cycles and making pragmatic build-vs.-adopt decisions as the landscape shifts.
We currently use LangChain's DeepAgent framework for our agent orchestration, but every layer of our AI stack is open to change. The right person for this role understands how agent systems work under the hood, not just one framework's abstractions, and can adapt as better tools and approaches emerge.
This senior engineer will work alongside our engineering team and head of product to build, optimize, and operate the AI agents that give users proactive coordination, risk surfacing, status summaries, and AI-generated deliverables. The role is hands-on. You'll write code daily while contributing to AI architecture decisions and helping define how we evaluate and evolve our agent capabilities over time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Must Have:
Highly Valuable:
Real Impact: The opportunity to build purpose-built tooling for an entire industry that has never had it
Customer Access: Direct exposure to hundreds of real hardware projects annually through Re:Build's engineering and manufacturing companies
Technical Growth: Hands-on work at the frontier of applied AI, solving novel agent design challenges with real-world feedback loops
Autonomy: Backed by Re:Build while operating with startup independence
Benefits: Full health/dental/vision, bonus program, generous 401K, paid time off, annual learning stipend
Equity & Growth: Participation in Re:Build's LTIP equity program and opportunity for founder equity in potential spin-out
Location: Remote-first, with preference for candidates in Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, or other cities with Re:Build offices
Compensation: Base salary range of $143,000 to $215,000 with performance bonus and long-term incentive plan offered. Potential equity stake under independent spinout scenario.
Please note this role is restricted to US citizens or lawful permanent residents only due to exposure to export controlled information.

Director, Manufacturing Technology and Automation
Who is Re:Build Manufacturing
Re:Build Manufacturing is a growing family of industrial and engineering companies combining advanced technologies, deep operational expertise, and strategic M&A to build America’s next-generation industrial leader. At Re:Build, we blend engineering excellence, lean methodologies, and cutting-edge digital capabilities to drive step-change improvements in productivity, quality, and innovation across our member companies.
Re:Build was founded to pioneer a profitable model for revitalizing U.S. manufacturing. Our ecosystem spans product design, automation, digital engineering, fabrication, assembly, and large-scale contract manufacturing. We serve customers in aerospace, defense, mobility, clean tech, biotech, industrial equipment, and more.
As AI rapidly reshapes industrial markets, Re:Build is expanding its advanced computing, automation, and intelligence capabilities to deliver meaningful transformation across both digital and physical environments.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced manufacturing technology leader who can architect and drive Re:Build’s automation journey across three layers: data infrastructure, software automation, and physical robotics. This is an individual contributor role with strategic scope — the person who identifies high-value automation opportunities, designs the on-site deployment strategy, selects and evaluates platforms and tools, builds internal and external technology partner relationships, and creates the playbooks that make every deployment repeatable across our manufacturing network.
The ideal candidate has lived at the intersection of manufacturing operations and digital technology. They have personally deployed both digital systems and physical automation in discrete manufacturing environments. They understand the economics of automation across the full production spectrum — from high-mix, low-volume work to higher-volume production runs. They know when a cobot machine tender pencils out and when it doesn’t, and they won’t try to automate things that shouldn’t be automated. They can present to the CEO and be credible with a machinist in the same afternoon.
What you get to do
What you bring to the team
The BIG payoff
Re:Build is a company driven to make a meaningful difference in the industries and communities where we operate. Every employee shares in the ownership of the company and participates in the financial rewards of our collective success — at every level.
We are committed to building teams that reflect the diversity of our communities. Re:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, marital or parental status, cultural background, organizational level, work style, tenure, or life experience. We’ve identified the first market opportunities to begin that journey, but more are needed.
