Overview of Role
66degrees is looking for creative, dedicated, and personable technology business professionals for a Principal Cloud Architect position. level. A Principal Cloud Architect is someone capable of designing complex, large-scale, and often "bleeding-edge" solutions. Our ideal candidate will display relentless curiosity and drive around how we organize ourselves and deploy/use technology to ensure our largest and most complex Enterprise clients IT environments drive business value. Responsibilities
- Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with CIO/CTO/VP IT and Business leaders
- Architectural Strategy & Governance
- Design Global Scale Systems: Lead the end-to-end architectural design of multi-region, highly available cloud ecosystems that support millions of concurrent users and petabyte-scale data processing.
- Standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards for IaC and config management to ensure consistent, repeatable, and audited deployments across all environments.
- Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Orchestration: Architect complex connectivity and workload portability strategies using Anthos, Private Service Connect, and Cloud Interconnects to bridge legacy on-premises systems with modern cloud services.
- Advanced AI & Data Innovation
- Operationalize Generative AI: Design production-grade RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, ensuring LLMs are secure, reliably operate within capacity constraints and quotas, monitor and control token costs, and implement Enterprise security grade guardrails.
- End-to-End MLOps: Scale the implementation of automated machine learning pipelines—from ingestion to model serving—using Vertex AI (or self-hosted oss models) to reduce the time-to-market for predictive insights.
- Security, Risk & Compliance
- Zero-Trust Leadership: Design and lead the implementation of comprehensive security frameworks including BeyondCorp, VPC Service Controls, and advanced Identity Management (IAM) to protect sensitive workloads against sophisticated threats.
- Regulatory Engineering: Architect technical controls that automate compliance for global standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR), ensuring the platform is "secure by design" and audit-ready at all times.
- Technical Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Complex Problem Resolution: Serve as the final technical escalation point for critical production issues, performing deep-root cause analysis on global-scale outages or performance bottlenecks.
- Financial Optimization (FinOps): Direct the cost-optimization strategy by designing high-efficiency architectures that balance performance requirements with long-term cloud spend sustainability.
- Cross-Functional Mentorship: Act as a force multiplier by mentoring other architects and engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Lead Consultant
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, particularly regarding the Google Cloud ecosystem for business users, providing clear and concise explanations of complex concepts.
- Identify customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies encompassing the Google ecosystem to deliver business growth and resolve blockers.
- Lead requirements gathering and project scoping.
- Solution design, problem-solving, and architecture diagramming.
- Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and effectively promote Google Cloud with clients, at conferences, and online.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of GCP experience is a must. Experience in other clouds is beneficial.
- Proven experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing globally distributed cloud-based systems, with a strong understanding of API-first design principles and API management platforms.
- Extensive experience with security (zero trust) and networking in cloud environments
- Capable of advising and implementing CI/CD practices to clients using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Cloud Build, and Cloud Deploy and concepts such as GitOps and GitFlow.
- Experience in containerizing workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Artifact Registry.
- Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, engage and influence audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and customer-facing communication.
- Proficiency in documentation and knowledge transfer using remote meetings, written documents, and technical diagrams slide decks.
- Experience in implementing hybrid connectivity using VPN or Cloud Interconnect is a plus.
- GCP Credentials: Professional Cloud Architect Certification plus any other Professional Cert (Data Engineer preferred) or L400 Generative AI skill badge. Additional certifications Kubernetes (CKA, CKS), or Terraform strongly recommended

Position Overview:
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will play a key role in building and managing Kubernetes platforms that support cloud-native applications and services. This position focuses on architecting and managing reliable, scalable, and secure Kubernetes-based platforms on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance while optimizing costs and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platform creation, Helm charts, Karpenter scaling, and Istio service mesh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kubernetes Platform Creation: Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant Kubernetes platforms. Ensure clusters are optimized for production workloads, providing high resilience and operational efficiency.
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Build, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS,ECS, S3, VPCs, RDS, IAM, and more. Implement best practices for cost management, scaling, and security within AWS.
- Helm Management: Utilize Helm to automate and streamline the deployment of applications and services to Kubernetes clusters. Create, maintain, and manage Helm charts for production-ready deployments.
- Karpenter Implementation: Implement and manage Karpenter to dynamically scale Kubernetes clusters in response to workload demands.
- Istio Service Mesh Management: Configure and manage Istio to provide service-to-service communication, security, and observability within the Kubernetes clusters. Enable fine-grained traffic management, service discovery, and policy enforcement.
- Platform Automation & Scaling: Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure and applications. Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure a seamless flow from development to production with minimal downtime.
- Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues related to performance, availability, and security in a timely and effective manner.
- Security & Compliance: Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure with appropriate access controls, network security, and compliance frameworks.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed documentation for Kubernetes platform setup, operational procedures, and best practices. Promote knowledge sharing across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes/Helm;
- 4+ years of Experience with Terraform.
- 5+ years of Experience with AWS
- Experience with multi-region cloud environments.
- Proven experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, etc.) and solid understanding of cloud-native architectures.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes platform creation, management, and optimisation (e.g., setting up highly available clusters, networking, and storage).
- Hands-on experience with Helm for Kubernetes application deployment and management.
- Practical experience with Karpenter for dynamic scaling of Kubernetes clusters and optimising resource usage.
Expertise in managing and securing Istio for service mesh, including traffic management, security, and observability features. - Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Terraform, Ansible, Spinnaker).
Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go for infrastructure management and platform automation. - Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK Stack.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud platforms and Kubernetes (e.g., role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and compliance frameworks).
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications (Preferred): CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer), or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our CI/CD ecosystem, cloud infrastructure automation, and developer platform. This is a journey-level, fully qualified position where you will independently design and drive solutions across complex, diverse projects — bringing both technical depth and collaborative leadership to everything you do.
You will work at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, AI-driven tooling, and modern cloud operations, partnering closely with development and TechOps teams to accelerate delivery cycles and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments, applying industry best practices to optimize delivery speed and system reliability.
- Automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources (VMs, EC2, and more) using Infrastructure as Code — with Terraform as the primary tool — ensuring consistent, repeatable, and auditable deployments.
- Manage and optimize cloud networking configurations, supporting complex developer workflows and infrastructure scalability requirements.
- Integrate AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities into DevOps tooling and developer workflows, including leveraging Model Context Protocol (MCP) for intelligent automation and context-aware pipeline tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify bottlenecks, reduce toil, and continuously improve the release process.
- Apply security best practices to deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure, proactively identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Monitor, observe, and optimize infrastructure performance, taking initiative to resolve complex issues before they impact customers.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies — particularly in the AI/LLM space — and provide guidance on how to incorporate them effectively into organization workflows.
- Communicate technical strategies and recommendations clearly to senior internal and external stakeholders, adapting your approach to diverse audiences and often driving alignment on difficult decisions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience (or 3 years with a Master’s degree or equivalent experience).
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code — this is a must-have.
- Hands-on, production-level experience building and deploying AI/LLM-integrated systems — this is a must-have. You have worked directly with large language model APIs, designed AI-assisted workflows, and shipped real tooling powered by LLMs in an engineering or DevOps context.
- Hands-on, production-level experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) — this is a must-have. You have implemented MCP-based integrations to build intelligent, context-aware developer tools, automation pipelines, or agent workflows, not just read about it.
- Strong command of CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar).
- Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure (EC2, VMs, VPCs, IAM, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, DNS).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, resolve ambiguous and complex problems, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or container orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).

We are looking for a data-focused engineer with a strong operational focus to support the Performance Team’s data platform at IMC. This role is responsible for the reliability, correctness, and performance of data systems that directly support performance analysis and decision-making.
The role is production-facing and works closely with the Performance team and aligned stakeholders to ensure data workflows are robust, observable, and efficient.
What you’ll do:
- Own the operational health of the Performance Team’s data platform
- Monitor and maintain ETLs and data pipelines for correctness, timeliness, and stability
- Design and maintain data quality checks, reports, and alerting specific to performance data
- Investigate and resolve data issues and pipeline failures, driving problems to root cause
- Own and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipeline issues related to performance data workflows
- Monitor workloads and resource usage; identify and resolve imbalances and bottlenecks

About the Role

What a typical week might look like
- Write Terraform modules for deploying infrastructure resources via our GitLab pipelines

- Monitor and maintain our GCP BigQuery and Spanner databases
- Pipe metrics to our Google-managed Prometheus instance and build out Grafana dashboards and alerts to increase visibility on our systems

As a DevOps/SRE intern, you will be a part of a team which directly works on projects that span every level of our technology stack at TransMarket Group. From developing systems that automate the building, testing, and deployment of latency-sensitive trading applications, to designing and implementing critical back-office data flows and applications, your work will enable us to systematically improve our software. This, in turn, will tighten feedback loops and accelerate application development, directly contributing to increased P&L at the firm.
While closely interacting with our global technology teams, you’ll need to strike a careful balance between reliability and innovation. Given the breadth of the projects you will be involved in, no two days will feel the same. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and excited to learn about our trading operations from top to bottom.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day support of the firm’s proprietary software trading environment
- Work directly with our Traders, Trade Developers, Platform Developers, and IT Team to automate and maintain systems for deployment of trading software, configuration management, CI/CD and backtesting pipelines
- Work with end users to design monitoring and alerting systems that can be used to catch and diagnose issues in real time to help ensure the health of our trading environment
- Designing and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines for our trading platform components.
- Building and maintaining infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems to help us quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
- Collaborating with co-workers on designing applications and platform components to meet automation requirements.
- Ensuring that software and infrastructure components are up-to-date and free of any security vulnerabilities
- Systematising and then documenting new and existing processes to help us tame our ever changing IT operations
- Working on automated provisioning of new servers and updating existing ones
- Working as part of an in-office team to collaborate directly with our experienced traders and technologists on brainstorming and implementing creative solutions to a wide range of problems.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BA/BS/MS Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related industry experience
- Must be fluent in Python (or any other programming language at the time of interview).
- Proficient with code collaboration tools (git, GitLab / GitHub / Bitbucket)
- Basics of container-based technology (Docker)
- Basic understanding of how infrastructure management tools work (Ansible or Puppet)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Basic understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana.
- Preferred:
- Understanding of database design and administration.
- Interest in financial markets and trading software.
