About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated “Compliance Specialist”  to strengthen our Compliance function within a fast-paced proprietary trading environment. As a firm regulated by both the Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM) and De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), we operate at the forefront of financial markets while adhering to the highest regulatory standards. You will participate in internal and external communication to partners and vendors from Amsterdam regarding our business compliance and trading operations. You’ll work directly with a range of functions, including Execution Trading, Business and DevOp to design, optimize compliance tools and processes. You will provide regulatory insight and analysis specific to the Netherlands. 

This role is ideal for someone with approximately 3 years of experience working at AFM or DNB, who is now looking to apply their supervisory insight to a hands-on, entrepreneurial trading firm.

Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Oversight:

• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the firm’s AFM and DNB-related compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the firm’s activities, especially around MiFID II, MAR, DORA, Prudential requirements, and algorithmic trading.
  
• Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring, thematic reviews, and internal control assessments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the business on compliance risks related to trading activities, new products, and operational changes.
• Provide timely guidance on regulatory obligations, licensing, and reporting requirements.
  
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Trade Support, Operations, and Technology teams to reinforce a strong culture of compliance.
  

Regulatory Reporting & Interactions:

• Assist in preparing  and/or reviewing regulatory filings, notifications, and reports for AFM and DNB.
  
• Assist in managing communications with regulators, including audits, information requests, and periodic meetings.
  
• Ensure accurate maintenance of regulatory records and internal documentation.
• Assist in creating tailored compliance training sessions for traders, developers, and support teams.
• Promote awareness of market conduct rules, operational compliance obligations, and firm-wide standards.
  

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 years of professional experience at AFM or DNB, ideally within market supervision, prudential supervision, or conduct oversight.
  
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and EU financial regulatory landscape, including MiFID II, MAR, DORA  and prudential supervision frameworks.
• Ability to assess regulatory requirements and their impact on the firm's existing business  and potential new business ventures. 
• Ability to conduct gap analysis and assessment of the compliance program
• Experience with trading venues, market structure, algorithmic trading, or derivatives markets is a plus.
  
• Analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to interpret regulatory expectations in a practical manner.

As part of a lean Business Team, you’ll work directly with a range of functions and their leads to design, optimize and execute tools and processes for business operations and business development. You will also be responsible for both internal and external communication to partners and vendors regarding our business compliance and trading operations. 

You’ll conduct research to help evaluate new business opportunities, and build dashboards, predictive models, and other tools to inform data-driven business decisions.

Qualifications
We’re looking for highly analytical people with 0-5 years of experience who want to help build the research-driven trading firm of the future. The individual wants to help manage our business operations for the existing business (research, technology, and operations) functions by improving communication, code and any other necessary elements.

To do that, you’ll need the following qualities:

• Proficient at data mining, extraction and organization of raw format data from various sources such as accounting systems, gitlab, and more. Experience, or a desire to learn, Tableau & other user interface tools that require data-input and entries is helpful as well.
• Proficient in Python coding, especially in scripting and automation
• Technically capable in other areas of computing, such as algorithmic design in C++ or has a strong desire to become proficient in it.

• Lead the design and deployment of trading network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and low latency.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure network systems meet trading application requirements.
• Maintain and improve networking standards across the organization, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

Radix Trading is seeking a seasoned HPC Systems Engineer with a passion for Linux, HPC systems and research infrastructure to join us. This role requires the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, navigate networking and system alerts, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that has experience leading projects end-to-end, fluency in scripting languages, and a proven track record of solving complex technical problems.

Job Functions:

• Own monitoring and performance tuning across HPC applications, SLURM job scheduler, networking, storage, and hardware to optimize workload efficiency.
• Perform root-cause analysis to develop sustainable automated solutions.
• Support and troubleshoot alerts and errors with savvy communication skills to interact with external entities and internal counterparts.
• Keep up communication with new and existing external vendors on technical infrastructure work.
• Keep up communication with new and existing external business interfaces --- day-to-day operation, planning connectivity, and exchange upgrades.
• Oversee communication with others internally - project management across different functions to plan exchange upgrades, hardware refreshes, and other improvements/rollouts.
• Build out and support research, trading, and enterprise infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HPC system administration/architecture including RHEL/CentOS/Rocky Systems
• Experience with job scheduler and resource management tools such as SLURM, Moab, or Torque
• Knowledge of network storage systems such as DDN, IBM SpectrumScale, NetApp, Weka, or Vast
• Knowledge of parallel file systems such as Lustre or Spectrum Scale (GPFS)
• Experience working with InfiniBand and high-speed Ethernet
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as xCAT, Ansible, Salt, and Terraform
• Exposure to bare metal provisioning — including DHCP, DNS, PXE Boot
• Competence in Python, able to edit and create scripts
