Description
Our Software development team designs and builds low-latency systems that allow us to trade a diverse set of instruments across a wide range of financial marketplaces. This smaller, focused team comes with a high degree of responsibility and ownership. Our systems aim to be clean and understandable while achieving low latency and robust error tolerance. The libraries you work on will become the engine of our firm’s strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement network connectivity, market data, and execution libraries for our automated trading software platform
- Work closely with our strategy teams to understand how they consume the software you write, so that you can anticipate and deliver future improvements
- Leverage libraries you've worked on to facilitate backtesting and post-trade analysis of our trading strategies
- Tune and refine existing components to improve performance, flexibility, and stability
- Tools: C++, Python, Bash, Linux, SQL
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field, plus five years of experience in software engineering, or a Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field, plus three years of experience in software engineering
- 2-3 years of previous experience with implementing low-latency connectivity at any major exchange in C++
- Strong knowledge of engineering software systems for low latency
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
- Passion for the trading industry and interest in interfacing with multi-disciplinary trading teams
- Proficiency in C++, multithreading, IPC, automated testing and benchmarking, lock-free data structures, Linux, Solarflare network stack
- Experience with Python and/or Bash scripting, SQL, Gitlab CI/CD preferred
- This position requires physical presence and is on-site (no remote work)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field

Description
TMG is seeking an Experienced Mid-Frequency Quantitative Researcher / Trader with a track record of success to lead an entrepreneurial initiative in this area at the firm.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated medium frequency trading strategies across all futures products with expected holding periods of minutes to hours
- Create and improve quantitative models for predicting futures prices
- Build out and improve our signals library
- Collaborate within a group and across the firm to improve our backtester and other necessary tools to build a sustainable trading business (desk)
Requirements
- Must have experience successfully developing quantitative models for profitable trading
- Breadth and depth in mathematical background
- Demonstrated passion for financial markets and market microstructure
- Strong numerical programming skills in Python; industry C++ experience is a plus

- Design and maintain robust frameworks for signal evaluation, including backtesting and performance diagnostics.

- Monitor and analyze the performance of signals post-production, identifying degradation and opportunities for refinement.

Systems Engineer Intern

Responsibilities:
- Provision, configure, and support server, network, and desktop equipment.
- Mature the automation efforts of the lifecycle of a server, including onboarding, patching, and sunsetting.
- Provide technical support to traders and other office staff, with a strong focus on user satisfaction.
- Perform data center work, such as cabling, server install/decom, and part replacement.
- Monitor and respond to application, operating system, network and hardware events quickly. Enhance existing monitoring infrastructure as needed.
- Document new projects and procedures. Improve upon existing documentation where needed.
- Work with network, trading, and operations staff as part of daily trading and on projects.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, or IT with expected graduation in 2025/2026.
- Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, including operating systems, networking, and programming concepts.
- Experience with Linux and various Linux distributions. Examples: Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu.
- Bash and Python experience.
- Prior use and understanding of a version control system, such as Git.
- Familiarity with virtualization and containers, such as VMware and Docker.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, Salt Stack, etc... are a plus.
- Basic client-side and server-side SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc...) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, etc..) database experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Prior use of bare-metal server provisioning tools, such as Foreman, is a plus.

- Implement and maintain a high availability, low latency network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network and network related issues
- Collaborate with other team members on new technology solutions
- Work with other teams within the firm to address technological issues
- Proactively monitor the network and provide capacity planning
- Participate in the on-call support rotation and some weekend work
- Mentor junior engineers from a technical perspective
Requirements
- Seasoned engineer, ideally with a CCIE, experience building and maintaining production financial/trading networks
- Experience with multicast and unicast routing protocols (TCP/IP, PIM, BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with the design, deployment, and operation of modern IP multicast networks
- Working knowledge of low latency networking concepts
- Experience with firewall administration and site to site VPN
- Some hands-on required for data center work
- Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack
- Experience with packet capture and tcpdump analysis tools
- Knowledge of high accuracy timing protocols

Description
Our Algorithmic Traders use their expert understanding of the financial markets and market microstructure to develop relative value arbitrage trading software and build and improve trading strategies. As a Junior Algorithmic Trader, you will have the opportunity to experience relative value arbitrage trading paired with innovative software. You will partner with Senior Traders to assist and learn all facets of automated trading. From researching and analyzing high-frequency tick data and trading performance, to building mathematical models and performing time series analysis, you will experience a deep dive into real-time trading and gain exposure to build your expertise. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, technically analytical, and has the desire to learn and apply programming skills in a fast-paced environment (Python, C++).

Responsibilities
- Ownership over our data center infrastructure, tasked with all aspects of keeping it up and operating in an optimal and reliable manner
- Contacting third-party vendors about remote equipment installation and maintenance and then supervising those projects through completion
- Performing hardware installation and troubleshooting existing hardware
- Documenting both new and established procedures to establish and foster best practices firmwide
- Cooperating with other engineers to provide stable and secure deployments of new infrastructure components
- Working with network engineers to reliably upgrade and replace old network equipment
- Developing an automated provisioning system and keeping the inventory system up to date
- Troubleshooting software issues that might be related to hardware failures
- Providing in-office hardware support
- Working as part of an in-office team to collaborate directly with our experienced traders and technologists on brainstorming and implementing creative solutions to a wide range of problems
Requirements
- BA/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience
- 2+ years of experience in related field
- Hands-on experience cabling, racking, and installing bare metal servers, network devices, and network cards
- Experience with remote management tools for servers (iDrac, iLO)
- Understanding of automated provisioning tools (PXE, Foreman) and ability to create installation files (kickstart, preseed)
- Experience with Linux at the administration level (Debian, CentOS)
- Working experience with Windows is a plus
- Practical knowledge of inventory tools (Netbox)
- Good understanding of monitoring tools (Icinga2, Grafana, ELK)
- Experience with infrastructure management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
- Good management skills with ticketing and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash or other) is a plus
- Experience in a low latency environment a strong plus, e.g., Solarflare, Onload, PTP

Description
As a DevOps/SRE intern, you will be a part of a team which directly works on projects that span every level of our technology stack at TransMarket Group. From developing systems that automate the building, testing, and deployment of latency-sensitive trading applications, to designing and implementing critical back-office data flows and applications, your work will enable us to systematically improve our software. This, in turn, will tighten feedback loops and accelerate application development, directly contributing to increased P&L at the firm.
While closely interacting with our global technology teams, you’ll need to strike a careful balance between reliability and innovation. Given the breadth of the projects you will be involved in, no two days will feel the same. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and excited to learn about our trading operations from top to bottom.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day support of the firm’s proprietary software trading environment
- Work directly with our Traders, Trade Developers, Platform Developers, and IT Team to automate and maintain systems for deployment of trading software, configuration management, CI/CD and backtesting pipelines
- Work with end users to design monitoring and alerting systems that can be used to catch and diagnose issues in real time to help ensure the health of our trading environment
- Designing and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines for our trading platform components.
- Building and maintaining infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems to help us quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
- Collaborating with co-workers on designing applications and platform components to meet automation requirements.
- Ensuring that software and infrastructure components are up-to-date and free of any security vulnerabilities
- Systematising and then documenting new and existing processes to help us tame our ever changing IT operations
- Working on automated provisioning of new servers and updating existing ones
