Hardware Onboarding Automation
Design, develop, and maintain automation to onboard new hardware devices into Jump's HPC data centers, including servers, network switches, rack PDUs, CDUs, and environmental sensors.
Build end-to-end provisioning workflows that take hardware from racked-and-cabled through discovery, configuration, validation, and production-ready state with minimal manual intervention.
Extend and adapt onboarding automation as new hardware platforms and device types are introduced.
Data Center Tooling Development
Develop tools for power and cooling capacity planning—enabling the operations and planning teams to model current utilization, forecast growth, and identify constraints before they become problems.

AI-Driven Development

5+ years of professional experience in production engineering, infrastructure automation, or site reliability engineering, preferably in HPC or large-scale data center environments.
Proven track record of building and shipping production automation and tooling—not just scripts, but maintained, reliable systems.
Experience automating hardware provisioning and lifecycle management (servers, network devices, power/cooling infrastructure).
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure: power distribution, cooling systems (air and liquid), environmental monitoring, and structured cabling.
Experience integrating with hardware management interfaces (IPMI/BMC/Redfish, SNMP, vendor APIs) for discovery, configuration, and telemetry collection.

Technical Skills:

What You'll Do:
Design, configure and support our global network infrastructure, collaborating across multiple teams to optimize for proprietary low latency trading applications.
Support and troubleshoot a hybrid wireless and wired high performance network environment
Take an automated, data driven approach to diagnosing and solving complex network infrastructure issues such as micro-bursting, jitter and queuing.
Leverage automation skills and take a “dev ops” approach to improve efficiency of network management, deployment and maintenance of propriety trading applications.
Own and project manage global network initiatives from requirements gathering, design review, implementation, deployment and documentation

Skills You'll Need:
At least 5+ years of networking experience
At least 1+ year of scripting experience (Python preferred) and expertise with GIT and REST or JSON
Experience supporting a large-scale global network environment
Advance knowledge and troubleshooting of IP networking, TCP/ IP
Advance knowledge of Switching, Routing (BGP, OSPF) and Multicast (IGMP, PIM)
Experience working with one or more of the following hardware platforms (Cisco, Mellanox, Arista)
Experience working with automation tools (ie, Ansible)
Experience with databases and big data tools (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Splunk, InfluxDB, Grafana).
Experience with monitoring tools (i.e. Icinga, Splunk, Kapacitor).
Strong Linux Shell (all utilities) experience
