Life360 is a Remote-First company, which means a remote work environment will be the primary experience for all employees. All positions, unless otherwise specified, can be performed remotely (within the US) regardless of any specified location above.
We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.
Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.
The Foundry team is building Life360’s partner ecosystem and developer platform - the infrastructure that allows external partners to integrate with Life360 securely and at scale. We own the full integration stack: partner-facing APIs, authentication flows, webhook receipt and delivery, and the gateway layer that decouples partner contracts from internal systems. Our goal is to turn Life360 from a single-product app into an extensible platform that partners across mobility, safety, wearables, and more can build on.
We also own critical shared infrastructure that the rest of the company depends on - NetworkKit, authentication, and environment standardization across all mobile clients. We’re a cross-platform team spanning Cloud, Android, and iOS, and we think in systems: stable API contracts, sandboxed environments, versioning policies, and operational SLAs. The developer platform we’re building is modeled on the best of Stripe, Twilio, and Squarespace - designed so that onboarding a new partner takes weeks, not months.
Life360 is hiring an AI-Native Backend Focused Engineer — a senior engineer who doesn’t just use AI tools, but thinks natively in them. You’ll be central to how the Foundry team builds its products, develops its ecosystem tooling, and how we use AI for development in the future.
You’ll design and build features and systems to help grow Life360s partner ecosystem, helping take our platform from zero to one - building out auth, system proxying, alerting and monitoring, everything.
You’ll build and evolve our modern AI-Native engineering workflows — from how we write code, to how we run standups, to how we think about team velocity. You’ll evolve the standard others follow.
For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $129,000 to $192,000 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is 149,500 to 177,500 CAD.
Note: We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
We use AI coding tools as a professional standard on this team. Here's what that means in practice:
Our company’s mission-driven culture is guided by our shared values to create a trusted work environment where you can bring your authentic self to work and make a positive difference.
Our Commitment to Diversity
We believe that different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better results. Together, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees. It fuels our innovation and connects us closer to our customers and the communities we serve. We strive to create a workplace that reflects the communities we serve and where everyone feels empowered to bring their authentic best selves to work.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Life360. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status or any legally protected status.
We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. We believe that a diversity of perspectives and experiences create a foundation for the best ideas. Come join us in building something meaningful. Even if you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying!

The Messaging team owns the backbone of Life360's real-time infrastructure — the event streaming and data pipelines that keep millions of families connected. We process billions of events every day across location updates, safety alerts, and the push notifications that make the product feel instant.
We are a small, platform-focused, AI-native team. AI isn't a productivity add-on here — it's how we work. Every engineer on the team directs AI agents as a core part of their daily loop: scaffolding services, drafting Terraform, exploring unfamiliar codebases, writing migration scripts, and reviewing diffs. We move faster and go deeper on hard distributed systems problems because we've built the habits, prompts, and guardrails to make agentic work reliable.
Current initiatives include the MSK-to-Confluent Cloud migration, organization-wide schema registry and Protobuf governance, and the next generation of Life360's streaming services. Our stack is Kafka and Kafka Streams, Spring Boot (Java 21), Go, Protobuf/gRPC, Terraform, and AWS.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who has already made AI a first-class collaborator in their work. You'll design streaming services, write and review code, own production incidents, and ship infrastructure — and you'll do all of it with agents running in parallel alongside you. We're looking for an engineer who already decomposes work into agentic workflows, critiques agent output with real technical authority, and ships production code faster because of it.
You'll help shape the team's technical direction on Kafka-first streaming infrastructure and the next phase of our high-availability roadmap. You'll also help evolve how the team itself works with AI — the prompts, the evals, the review patterns, the escape hatches when agents go sideways.
For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $148,000 to $216,500 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range is 171,500 to $201,000 CAD.

The Devices Cloud team owns the backend services that power Life360's fleet of connected hardware — Tile trackers, Jiobit wearables, Pet GPS trackers, and emerging device categories. We manage real-time device state, high-frequency telemetry ingest, and the cloud infrastructure that translates physical-world signals into reliable, family-facing experiences. Our work sits at the intersection of hardware, firmware, mobile, and platform — and runs at a scale where correctness and reliability aren't optional.
We are an AI-Native team. AI isn't an add-on to how we work — it's how we work. We've redesigned our development workflows around AI, using it as a first-class collaborator at every stage: spec writing, code generation, test authoring, incident triage, and system design. We ship faster and go deeper because of it. We're looking for engineers who want to help define what AI-native backend development looks like for complex, hardware-connected systems.
As a Sr. Staff Cloud Engineer on the Devices Cloud team, you will own the technical direction of the cloud systems that power Life360's connected hardware — Tile trackers, Jiobit wearables, and emerging device categories. This is a systems-level leadership role: you are the recognized technical authority for our device cloud infrastructure, spanning real-time state management, high-frequency telemetry ingest, and the integration layer that connects physical hardware to family-facing experiences.
At this level, your work extends well beyond implementation. You set technical direction, define architectural standards, mentor Staff and Senior engineers, and partner with engineering and product leadership to align the technical roadmap with company goals. You operate across teams and functional groups — influencing firmware, mobile, platform, and data teams — and your decisions shape systems serving tens of millions of families daily.
You are also a leader in AI-native engineering. You don't just use AI — you define how it should be used. You architect agent-driven workflows, codify practices that multiply team output, and partner with engineering leadership to spread these patterns across the broader organization.
For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $216,500 to $318,500 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range is 251,000 to $295,000 CAD. The Packaging team within User Billing is responsible for Stripe Scale — Stripe's flagship product bundle that brings together Payments, Radar, Tax, and other Stripe products into a unified, tiered pricing offering for self-serve and sales-assisted users. A core part of our approach is using Stripe's own Billing product to power how we charge for Stripe itself — essentially making Stripe our own most demanding customer. This "dogfooding" strategy means we integrate our external-facing subscription, usage-based billing, and entitlement products into our internal monetization stack, generating real-world insights that directly improve our products for enterprise customers with complex billing needs.
This is a uniquely cross-functional domain. AI is moving fast and Stripe is moving fast to adopt it. But we need to make sure we do all of this safely, and for most of these tools enterprise-grade security isn't just available off the shelf. That's where the AI security team comes in - we are responsible for building and partnering to create the right security primitives to enable Stripe to move fast safely.
This is a team that will be working in the low level components of our AI stack so both infrastructure and security experience are pluses. This space is moving fast so being comfortable with ambiguity and changes in priority are a must.
This is a foundational role — you'd be the first engineer on the team.
Engineers on this team will do a mixture of partnering and advising with teams building AI infrastructure and products, and building security infrastructure primitives for AI.
One of our major focuses will be building a security tooling layer that sits in the inference path, providing detection and protection against AI specific threats like prompt injection, jailbreaks, and tool misuse.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Who we are
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
Web Presence and Platform is organized into two pillars, each of which is grouped into pods that focus on the central tenets of Stripe's public mission. The Presence pillar creates industry-leading designs for Stripe’s front door surfaces, educating customers about the power of our platform, sharing Stripe’s ideas and expertise with the public, and driving adoption. The Platform pillar builds the internal machinery that powers these surfaces, and is responsible for making our websites fast, stable, and easy to update.
Together we design and build stripe.com and other sites that amount to what is, for many, their first impression of Stripe. As such, WPP offers exciting opportunities to have a major impact on Stripe’s success. We want to make every pixel count, we want it to be enthralling, and we want to help other Stripes seamlessly benefit from our systematic work.
While the team's mission anchors to web surfaces, this role lives deeper in the stack. You will be the engine behind the experiences rather than the pixel-level presentation — APIs, data pipelines, model orchestration, and service reliability that make LLM-driven user experiences possible at scale.
The Expansion pod brings creativity and executional rigor to attracting new prospects and driving conversion, focusing on user journeys, interactive and highly polished tools for users, and building targeted experiences for our global users.
As a backend engineer you will architect and build the server-side systems and LLM orchestration layers that power intelligent, dynamic user experiences across acquisition journeys. You will design the APIs, data pipelines, and inference infrastructure behind delightful and original interactive tools and resources that attract users. You will collaborate deeply across design, engineering, and cross-functional teams and work across teams and tech stacks to create new site capabilities — with a specific focus on integrating large language models into production-grade services that are reliable, performant, and safe.
This is not a research or ML training role. You will be responsible for wiring LLMs into real user-facing products: managing prompt pipelines, handling model routing and fallback logic, implementing guardrails and output validation.

The Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team exists to solve the hardest problems our most complex enterprise users face, and to turn those solutions into platform capabilities that scale to everyone. We work across Revenue Suite, Payments, and adjacent products. This is not a support function. It is an engineering team that sits at the boundary between Stripe's platform and the real-world complexity of how large enterprises actually use it.
The traditional FDE playbook, one engineer per user who manually rebuilds context every rotation, is how every infrastructure company has done it for a decade. It does not scale. We are building something different: an agent-augmented model where AI handles the context-heavy, structured work (integration mapping, state reconciliation, infrastructure shadow testing, diagnostics) and human FDEs focus on the parts that require engineering judgment, product thinking, and direct user relationships. The goal is to build engineering muscle that lets us serve every strategic user through the platform, not just the handful we can staff individually.
We've proven the approach with some of the world's most demanding enterprise users, delivering measurable auth rate improvements, unblocking critical platform migrations, closing multi-product integration gaps, and driving real revenue. Now we're scaling the model. If you want to solve hard user problems, build reusable platform solutions, and help shape how forward deployed engineering works as a discipline, this is the team.
As an Engineer on the RFA Forward Deployed Engineering team, you will:
You're a strong engineer who also thinks like a product person. You're comfortable with ambiguity, you'd rather talk to a user than read a spec, and you care about whether the thing you built actually solved the problem. Think: early engineer at a startup who played PM, did product discovery, partnered with users, and shipped. You're also interested in working at the frontier of agent-augmented engineering, not just using AI tools but helping define how an engineering function operates alongside them.

About Inspiren
Inspiren offers the most complete and connected ecosystem in senior living. Founded by Michael Wang, a former Green Beret turned cardiothoracic nurse, Inspiren proves that compassionate care and technology can coexist - bringing peace of mind to residents, families, and staff.
Our integrated solutions seamlessly fit into existing workflows, capturing everything happening within a community. Backed by nurse specialists and powerful analytics, we provide the data operators need to make informed clinical and operational decisions - driving efficiency, profitability, and better care outcomes.
About the Role
We are hiring a Principal Engineer, Systems & Strategic Expansion to be the most senior IC in the engineering organization and the CTO's right hand on technology. This is a building role. At Inspiren, architecture happens by shipping systems, coaching others to make proactive technology investments, and building the tooling that makes good patterns the default. A defining responsibility of this role is making every engineer in the org faster while simultaneously raising the bar on architecture, quality, resilience, and security. We believe agentic development is how you achieve both at once. Your job is to make agentic workflows the fastest, easiest, most correct way to build — so that engineers choose them not because they are told to, but because they are better. You will build the AI platform, agents, skills, templates, and paved roads that make coding agents architecturally literate by default, and you will continuously push that frontier forward. The fast path and the correct path should be the same path, and you are the person who builds that path.
