The Sales Engineer (SE) is a technical sales support position responsible for arranging pre-sales engagement to current and prospective clients. • Proactive in establishing relationships with technical decision makers within end-user accounts and driving detailed, executable Technical Account Plans for all focus targets and current customers using Commvault Target Account Selling methodology for both open opportunities and ongoing customer happiness.

• Distill the pre-sales discovery into a concise message, outlining the salient technical, business, operational, and financial inefficiencies/challenges that Commvault addresses with its products.

• Collaborate with the creation and presentation of a case to any and all business sponsors (i.e., C-level executives, technical partners, etc.) in support of the Commvault solution.

• Propose and professionally demonstrate Commvault products through the use of presentations, existing customer solutions, white board, demo’s, pilots, "proof-of-concepts", etc.

• Actively participate in all Sales and regional meetings, QBRs, making valuable contributions and technical leadership on all topics (field marketing, qualifying, etc.).

• Provide technical expertise and enablement support for the channel and alliance partners as needed.

• Continuously develop and maintain technical and market expertise through training, certifications, conferences, etc.

• Keep senior management and relevant internal groups well informed of key issues and changes which may impact encouraged business results through business reviews and Salesforce.com documentation.

Who you are…

• 5+ years in the software or storage industry; 3+ years of proven experience serving in a pre-sales sales engineer role.

• Demonstrates solid experience delivering, presenting, selling, supporting assigned Enterprise /Commercial Clients and/or territories.

• Proven strong experience selling, conducting Proof of Concept, architecting data management solutions (backup and recovery, data migration, replication, compliance, SRM, etc.).

Essential Functions

• Builds and maintains relationships with local subcontractor and other partners to manage OSP crews’ activity - accomplishing required work safely, on time & within budget.
• Tracks crew progress and reports on it to internal teams, picking up whatever is required & delivering critical information to ensure leadership understands real-time job progress.
• Partners with & monitors OSP subcontractor crews to drive a safety culture at worksites.
• Ensures OSP subcontractor crews meet NESC code for aerial construction.

Infrastructure Engineer Summary:  

Tenstreet is a fast-growing, market-dominating SaaS-based solutions provider to the trucking industry. Tenstreet’s platform is hosted between its own hardware within a colocation facility and multiple cloud providers. Tenstreet’s Infrastructure team handles everything necessary to manage a highly scalable and secure environment, including specifying, purchasing, implementing, administering, securing, and monitoring hardware, software, and third-party services. This position is a hybrid role that will require trips to the corporate location in Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as days spent working in a co-working facility in NW Arkansas. 

Our infrastructure engineering team has broad expertise in on-prem and cloud architecture, performance, security, system administration, network administration and analysis, database administration, automation, incident response, troubleshooting, access control, and audit. 

A perfect fit for this Infrastructure Engineer position isn’t a person who already has deep experience with every specific tool and technology we use in our environment (some of which are mentioned below). 

Rather, our perfect fit is a person who has a demonstrated ability to learn, implement, and manage technologies that may be new to the person.  Further, this is a person who makes sound decisions and gets stuff done. The Infrastructure Engineer works within an established framework of standards and procedures but operates with tremendous autonomy and responsibility. 

As an Infrastructure Engineer you’ll be specifically responsible for: 

• On premises and cloud server and service administration, including the designing, building, monitoring, and securing of various Linux virtual servers and containers.
• Managing our NetApp storage tier and other file servers.
• Using tools such as Ansible Automation Platform to automate routine activities (server building and provisioning, administration activities, configuration management, etc.)
• Working with our development and product teams to ensure the infrastructure scales and meets the needs of the business
• Using monitoring and analysis tools such as Datadog and Wazuh IDS to collect and analyze system performance metrics for capacity planning, proactive response, and troubleshooting.
• The application and oversight of information security controls across various operating environments.
• Understanding and assisting in the management of our network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and third-party services such as Cloudflare for WAF/DDOS.
