We are looking for a skilled SoC Verification Engineer to join our semiconductor design team and contribute to the verification of complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust verification environments, validating SoC functionality, and ensuring comprehensive coverage closure using industry-standard verification methodologies. You will work closely with design, architecture, and physical design teams to deliver high-quality silicon by identifying and resolving functional issues throughout the verification lifecycle.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SoC and subsystem-level verification plans based on design specifications and functional requirements.
- Build, maintain, and enhance reusable UVM-based verification environments and testbench components using SystemVerilog.
- Verify IP integration and SoC functionality across multiple subsystems and interfaces.
- Perform functional verification of SoCs with a strong understanding of AMBA protocols, including AXI, AHB, and APB.
- Develop constrained-random test scenarios, assertions, scoreboards, monitors, and coverage models to improve verification quality.
- Execute regression suites, analyze simulation results, debug functional failures, and perform root cause analysis.
- Drive functional and code coverage closure to ensure complete verification sign-off.
- Collaborate closely with RTL design, architecture, and physical design teams to resolve design and verification issues.
- Utilize industry-standard simulators such as VCS, Questa, or Xcelium for simulation, debugging, and verification.
- Contribute to verification automation, documentation, and continuous improvement of verification methodologies.
- Support low-power verification, emulation, FPGA validation, or scripting activities where applicable.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience in SoC or Subsystem Verification.
- Expertise in SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
- Experience developing reusable UVM verification environments and SoC-level testbenches.
- Good understanding of AMBA protocols including AXI, AHB, and APB, with exposure to processor-based SoC verification being an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with functional verification, regression execution, debugging, and coverage-driven verification.
- Strong knowledge of functional coverage, code coverage, and assertion-based verification (SVA).
- Experience using industry-standard simulation and debugging tools such as VCS, Questa, or Xcelium.
- Exposure to PCIe verification, low-power verification (UPF/CPF), emulation, FPGA validation, or scripting using Python, Shell, or Perl is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced semiconductor development environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality verification solutions.
