We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with 10–15 years of expertise in designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and a solid background in DevOps practices. You will play a critical role in architecting cloud-native solutions, automating infrastructure provisioning, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring operational excellence across enterprise-scale environments.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, platform engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders to build resilient cloud platforms that support business-critical applications while maintaining high standards of reliability, security, and performance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement DevOps best practices to improve software delivery speed, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance and cost.
- Design cloud networking, storage, compute, and security architectures aligned with business requirements.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to migrate applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Enforce cloud governance, security policies, IAM controls, and compliance standards.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting languages and cloud automation tools.
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes where applicable.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Proven experience designing and managing large-scale AWS environments.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) including services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, and Auto Scaling.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release management.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and cloud networking concepts.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, backup strategies, and disaster recovery.
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-cloud environments is an advantage.
- AWS Professional or Specialty certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
