The Position

The Data Engineering team is a vital component of OPSWAT's technology division, responsible for building and maintaining the foundational data infrastructure that supports the entire organization. The team's mission is to create a scalable, reliable, and secure data platform on Microsoft Azure, enabling data-driven decision-making across all business units. This involves designing and managing data warehouses and data lakes, developing robust data integration pipelines, and ensuring the quality and accessibility of data assets. What You Will be Doing

• Design and Maintenance of Azure Data Warehouse/Data Lake:
  • Ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of the data platform, requiring proactive monitoring and optimization.
  • Evaluate and implementing strategies to optimize the data warehouse and data lake for cost-effectiveness and efficiency, aligning with best practices for Azure data management 
  • Development of ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure, utilizing tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, to ingest and transform data from a variety of sources.

• Development and Implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) Layer: A key responsibility is to research and recommend suitable MDM tools and technologies available within the Azure ecosystem. • Collaboration and Communication: The individual will work closely with product teams, sales and revenue operations, customer experience, and other stakeholders across the organization to understand their data requirements and deliver effective solutions that meet their needs. This requires the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a layman terms to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Risk management: ensure data warehouse availability & resiliency (during service outage, network issues, unexpected high loads, external attacks, disaster recovery, etc.)

What We Need from You 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in data warehouse/data lake design, implementation. This experience should include hands-on work with core Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.  
• Extensive experience with ETL/ELT tools within the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.  
• A strong understanding of database architecture principles, encompassing both relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics) and the concepts of NoSQL databases for handling unstructured data. 
• Experience in integrating data from multiple SaaS applications, including Salesforce, Hubspot, Netsuite, HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP), and ZoomInfo.  
• Experience in researching and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills are essential for this role.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Wireless team, responsible for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of all mobile network infrastructure and associated applications. The CTO Intelligence Hub is OPSWAT’s internal AI-powered data platform; dashboards and APIs that give leadership real-time visibility into AI adoption, financial performance, customer health, and sales. The platform runs on a fleet of Flask, FastAPI, and Streamlit applications backed by a Fabric → Parquet → S3 data pipeline, all tied together by an agentic coding system where GitHub Issues become production pull requests in under three minutes.

As AI Platform Architect, you own the application layer. You design and build new intelligence products, evolve existing dashboards, and work with the AI coding pipeline — writing the specs, reviewing the plans, and guiding the implementation. You are the “human senior engineer” in a team where your main coding collaborator is Claude.

What You Will Own

• Application architecture: Flask APIs, FastAPI microservices, Streamlit dashboards; schema and data-flow design across 12+ applications
• Agentic coding pipeline: creating well-scoped GitHub Issues, reviewing AI-generated implementation plans, approving or refining, merging PRs; the pipeline (claude-coder) takes issues from triage to production PR in ~3 minutes for routine work

RightShip is seeking an exceptional Software Architect to join our team. This role will help us continue building world-class, data-driven products to solve some of the most challenging problems in the maritime industry by maintaining and improving quality across critical data sets.

This role requires an individual who is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing high-level software architecture decisions to ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of systems. They serve as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, guiding teams through design and development best practices.

Major Responsibilities

Qualifications, Skills & Experience 

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in an architectural or senior technical leadership role.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., .NET, Python, TypeScript).
  • Experience with frameworks such as Angular / Aurelia / React
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) beyond basic code completion
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
  • Experience working with AI models and frameworks such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Meta Llama, Mistral, or Gemini.
  • Deep understanding of software design patterns
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture principles
  • Proficiency in event sourcing and CQRS for scalable, decoupled systems
  • Hands-on experience with event-based architectures and messaging platforms such as:
    • Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, Event Grid
    • Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS
  • Understanding of event choreography vs orchestration patterns
  • Strong experience in Azure cloud architecture - especially AKS, Functions, App Services, Storage, and Application Insights
  • Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Azure AD B2C
  • Understanding of data privacy and secure coding standards (ex. OWASP Top 10)
  • Experience with threat modelling and zero-trust architecture principles
  • Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

The Role: 

We need a Data & Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our data solutions within the cloud environment. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining data systems that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. 

In this role, you will: 

• Design and implement data architectures on cloud platforms, primarily AWS. 
• Manage data lifecycle, from ingestion to archiving, ensuring data integrity and compliance. 
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for cost-efficiency and performance. 
• Work with other engineers to integrate cloud solutions into the broader system architecture. 
• Automate deployment and management of infrastructure using tools like Terraform. 
• Monitor system health, performance, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Data Governance Advisor

The Data Governance Team is directly responsible for improving the data maturity of the organisation through the delivery of Data Governance and Data Quality services at an enterprise level. The value that data can create for RightShip and our customers can only be achieved through a strong data foundation and mature organisational capabilities in managing, processing and utilising this data.   

Reporting to the Data Governance Lead, the Data Governance Advisor will play a significant role in supporting RightShip in leveraging data as an asset to ensure data can be used to inform key decisions and deliver valuable outcomes to customers and the wider ecosystem in general. 

You will drive the adoption and success of data governance across the organization by advocating for its importance, implementing frameworks, policies, and procedures, and engaging with stakeholders to monitor and track key governance KPIs. 

Major Responsibilities   

DATA GOVERNANCE 

• Provide subject matter expertise in data management and governance 

• Own the implementation of data governance tool and support the creation and maintenance of a centralized data catalog to improve data discovery, accessibility, and understanding across the organization. 

• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards that align with the organization’s goals and regulatory requirements. 

• Work closely with business units and data stewards to establish data quality metrics and continually assess data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality problems  

• Act as a liaison between business units and tech/date teams to ensure alignment of data governance efforts with organizational goals and operational needs. 

• Collaborate with data stewards to ensure they are effectively managing the data within their domains. This includes helping them understand their roles and providing the necessary tools and processes to succeed.

• Data Lineage Tracking: Ensure end-to-end tracking of data lineage to guarantee traceability of data assets, from origin to consumption, providing transparency and trust in data processes.

Our project entails implementing our pre-approved development targets and developing a robust and reusable code framework to deliver a variety of new features across our product lines according to our preferred architecture design and best practices. Our backend stack is a combination of Golang, Redis, MySQL, and Snowflake while following the Clean Architecture Design pattern. APIs are documented and managed using the Open API framework and maintained in ReadMe. All development work is managed via JIRA tracked sprints, Github trunk-based management, and infrastructure is managed in AWS with monitoring in Datadog.

• Relay updates on existing work via Jira ticket status, push well documented pull requests for features, and collaborate through review and comments on your fellow developer pull requests.
