Cloudflare’s Senior Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) operate at the intersection of product engineering and customer impact.
As an FDE, you will be embedded within one of Cloudflare’s most strategic global customers, working side-by-side with their engineering teams to build and deploy solutions using Cloudflare’s platform. MongoDB’s Storage Layer Services (SLS) team is re-architecting the MongoDB cloud storage layer and sits at the heart of our next-generation cloud storage architecture. Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, load balancing (including our public-facing edge and internal service mesh), and observability and alerting systems.
The Fleet Management team provides the core runtime environment that empowers our developers to build and ship products to delight our customers. We manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our Kubernetes fleet, alongside the critical components that ensure cluster reliability and security (e.g., CoreDNS, cert-manager, and Gatekeeper). As our infrastructure scales to support new use cases and products, we are spearheading a migration from Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to an Operator-driven lifecycle management model.

As a Staff SRE, you will lead the engineering effort to eliminate toil at scale by driving implementation of self-service delivery pipelines, shared observability common tooling. This role starts with ~1 month of hands-on operational immersion to gain deep familiarity with our current stack, production pain points, and high-stakes workflows.
From there, your primary focus shifts to architecting and delivering the "tomorrow" layer: declarative GitOps-driven CD for model releases, capacity provisioning and cluster upgrades. About the Role:
Rumble Cloud is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support our team in rolling out and operating our next-generation Kubernetes platform. This role will focus on our new CAPI/CAPO-based Kubernetes solution, which is designed to be compatible with our existing OpenStack Magnum API and will be deployed across our public cloud. Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments.
Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
Experience with microservices and distributed systems architectures.
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
Proven experience with monitoring, logging, and observability systems.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure best practices.
Experience in a high-scale, SaaS or cloud-native environment.
Familiarity with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) and container runtimes.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

Our benefits package includes:
Base Salary Range: $96,000 - $120,000 CAD annually.
Bonus: Target bonus 10% of base salary. Bonus entitlement is based on a combination of organizational results, individual performance, and relative contribution, as assessed by Tipalti in its sole discretion, to be formalized and communicated to you following your start date.
