The Application Modernization Platform (AMP) team is tackling one of the industry's most critical challenges: leveraging Generative AI to transform rigid, legacy applications into modern, microservices-based architectures powered by MongoDB.

We are building a comprehensive, SaaS-like platform, encompassing both the "brain" (multi-agent reasoning and orchestration) and the "hands" (the deployment platform and modernization toolset). This solution requires a robust platform foundation and infrastructure designed for a "build once, run anywhere" model, ensuring seamless operation regardless of a client's security or network constraints. A key challenge is balancing the need to tune our tools for each customer's unique tech stack and restrictive environments with making them easily extensible and scalable for common application modernization challenges.

We seek an engineering leader for this high-visibility initiative. This role requires defining the high-level strategy and technical direction across all AMP engineering pillars, leading the execution of solving uniquely complex application modernization puzzles, and delivering an enterprise-grade product. The leader will minimize deployment friction, meet customer compliance requirements, and help shape the future of how global enterprises leverage GenAI.

Position Summary

A rapidly growing company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Mid-Level QA Engineer to join the team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring software and hardware quality, verifying feature implementations, and maintaining stability throughout the development lifecycle.

The QA Engineer will work closely with the development and product teams to define test plans and test cases based on requirements documents or user stories, execute structured test plans, test new features, and validate bug fixes. This role is specifically focused on bridging quality on in-house charging station production to ensure both hardware and software meet the company’s quality standards. The QA Engineer will work closely with charging station developers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers to ensure that charging stations are thoroughly tested with an emphasis on quality across the product stack.

In addition to traditional QA responsibilities, this role includes hands-on validation of charging station hardware and real-world system behavior. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with physical devices, executing real charging scenarios, and validating how software, firmware, and hardware interact under real operating conditions.

Job Description: 

As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving business growth and building strong relationships with customers, contractors, and engineering firms in Central Oregon. Utilizing your HVAC product knowledge and applications expertise, you will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage sales processes, and ensure quality customer support. This position plays a critical role in achieving annual sales targets while contributing to the long-term development of the region’s business. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, contractors, and end-users. 

• Identify and develop opportunities with new and existing customers using HVAC product knowledge and applications expertise. 

• Drive annual sales growth and secure long-term business opportunities in the Northwest region. 

• Provide technical expertise on system design, product selection, and specification writing. 

• Prepare detailed sales proposals, estimates, and take-offs tailored to customer needs. 

• Manage projects from the design phase through commissioning, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. 

• Facilitate smooth communication and workflow between branch office staff, customers, and partners. 

• Process and analyze feasibility assessments and bid documents for potential projects. 

• Maintain and expand your technical product knowledge to better serve customer needs. 

• Deliver high standards of customer support throughout the sales cycle and beyond. 

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering*   

• Three years of experience direct selling, marketing, or designing HVAC products for mechanical contractors or design engineers. 

• Three years of business development and relationship management within the HVAC industry. 

Skills and Qualifications 

• Three years’ experience in Sales and marketing, with the ability to strategically present HVAC equipment solutions to mechanical contractors and engineers, including mentoring quotations and presenting proposals. 

• Three years’ technical experience in pre-sale and post-sale support for HVAC equipment from over 100 manufacturers. 

• Three years’ experience utilizing customer relationship management skills, including anticipating and meeting customer needs effectively. 

• Three years of experience using organizational and communication skills to manage jobs at various stages of development. 

• Three years’ experience creatively and proactively utilizing problem-solving abilities to address application issues, delivery delays, billing discrepancies, and job site concerns. 

• Five years’ experience and proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications for selection, pricing, quoting, submittals, ordering, expediting, and billing for HVAC projects, as well as effective communication with factories and customers. 

* in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, will accept an additional 2 years of experience as delineated above. 

Pay Range: $100,000 base salary or depending on experience, converting to a commission structure after first year

From day one, you’ll receive structured training and hands‑on guidance from experienced engineers onsite. You’ll work with vacuum systems, plasma, chemical delivery, robotics, sensors, advanced metrology, and complex hardware‑software interactions—equipment that will feel familiar if you’ve maintained avionics, electronics, propulsion, navigation, comms, radar, robotics, or similar military systems. Your contributions will directly impact tool performance, system uptime, and customer success, forming a strong foundation for long‑term growth and a variety of career paths within ASM. 

Shifts available:

• Shift 4 (6pm-6am)- Sun-Tu and every other Saturday
• Shift 6 (6pm- 6am)- Wed-Fri and every other Saturday

What you will be working on 

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process issues in collaboration with senior engineering staff
• Deliver responsive, customer‑focused service with a strong commitment to safety and operational discipline
• Working in cleanroom environments while following strict safety and quality standards
• Assisting, identifying and contributing to continuous improvement efforts 
• Participate in escalations and cross‑functional problem‑solving
• Work on an assigned shift schedule supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations

What we are looking for 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on technical experience maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems
• Proven ability to diagnose complex system faults, follow technical procedures with precision, and maintain equipment in mission‑critical environments 
• Experience working under strict safety protocols, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and high‑reliability operational standards
• Comfort working in shift-based environments where readiness, accountability, and teamwork are essential
• Demonstratedability to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and take ownership of equipment performance in demanding situations 
• Ability to read and interpret electronic and electromechanical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills and disciplined adherence to safety
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication
