The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to help architect, build, and scale the next generation of our Flowcode 2 Consumer Experiences. You will join our Experiences pod with a focus on creating amazing end user hub and landing page experiences that are dynamic and engaging. You’ll work across the stack — from contributing to backend services to building out dynamic end to end landing pages. Though this is a full stack position, we are looking for someone that has deep backend experience as well.
As one of the senior engineers on a small but highly capable team, you’ll own medium to large sized features, drive technical execution, contribute to a delivery focused environment, and mentor others. You’ll balance hands-on engineering with architectural thinking, helping us move fast while maintaining reliability, performance, and code quality.
This is an ideal role for a problem-solver who values simplicity over complexity, enjoys building dynamic and interactive applications and approaches engineering with pragmatism and curiosity.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable features across a modern front-end framework and backend services.
- With support, own key features end-to-end, from data design to user-facing experiences.
- Architect for growth — help drive your pods’s technical roadmap and shepherd established engineering best practices.
- Collaborate across teams with product, design, and data to deliver measure, deliver and grows features quickly and iteratively.
- Write clean, reliable, and maintainable code, with strong attention to performance, best practices and developer experience.
- Mentor engineers and help elevate technical execution across you pod.
- Stay pragmatic — balance ideal engineering with the realities of speed, customer needs, and startup resource constraints.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7+ years of experience building and shipping production-quality software across the stack.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Go, Python, C#,, Java).
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, or other modern front-end frameworks. We use Svelte but any modern framework experience is welcome.
- Deep understanding of web architecture, API design, and data modeling in relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Commitment to code quality, with solid grounding in design patterns, testing, and CI/CD.
- Strong grasp of scalability and performance — able to make informed tradeoffs between speed and correctness.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A builder’s mentality — comfortable taking initiative and owning outcomes from design through production.
Nice to Have
- Experience building consumer focused SaaS applications and experiences
- Experience with form based, dynamic applications with rich user generated content.

About the Role:
The Upshot is a versatile, multidisciplinary team in the New York Times newsroom whose mission is to help our readers understand the news — and to find new ways to explain the world we're living in.
We're looking for a data-savvy visual editor who will work with the entire Upshot desk on projects ranging from short news stories to long-term enterprise to interactive applications.
As a deputy editor, you will be part of the Upshot's leadership team, and you will influence everything we publish. Your role will involve both big-picture thinking and extreme attention to detail. Sometimes, you will edit an entire story or project from conception through publication. Other times, you'll lend a hand in making sure a visual element is precise and pixel-perfect. You're someone who can create new formats to communicate with audiences, and who also enjoys sweating the details on making an individual chart better.
You are an editor who can help reporters think through how to analyze a dataset. You should develop intuitive (and counterintuitive) ways to tell stories through charts, graphics, and other formats. You should refine visual elements, stories, and projects with meticulousness and rigor. You should dream up entirely new ways of doing journalism.

The Graphics team at The New York Times is seeking a versatile and experienced visual editor to cover breaking news on the weekend and to publish timely graphics and visual stories.
The job’s primary responsibilities are to create maps, diagrams and other graphics for breaking news and planned stories as part of a regular weekend shift. You will identify sharp visual angles and collaborate with other Graphics staff and Times journalists to publish timely visual stories. You will conceive of new lines of reporting, execute fast-turn graphics, and produce and edit news graphics on deadline.
On some occasions, your work will include editing responsibilities for breaking news coverage when you are working with other Graphics staff and journalists from other desks.
You have strong news judgment and are comfortable working independently. You can evaluate a news moment for the best visual opportunities and then execute graphics across a variety of visual formats.
The Graphics team is a group of visual thinkers with a shared vision to creatively cover the news and develop design solutions in a collaborative setting.
This is an in-office position based in New York City or DC on a regular 5-day per week schedule that includes working on Saturday and Sunday and includes regular attendance in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Create and publish weekend graphics coverage using a range of visual forms. You should have experience building visual stories, and publishing maps, charts, diagrams and other quick-turn graphics.

The Role
We are currently seeking a full stack software engineer to join the Alternatives Data Management (ADM) team. Our team is building AI-powered data products and workflow solutions that unlock transparency, efficiency, and insight in private market investments. Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $107,000 - $168,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Major League Baseball is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Web Platform Architecture team. This team is responsible for architecting, building, and operating the foundational web platform that powers MLB.com and our entire suite of digital products. This includes our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, edge computing layer, and the core services that enable our product engineering teams to deliver features safely, quickly, and at a massive scale for millions of users.
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital platforms by writing code and building systems. You will be a hands-on developer, creating core services in Node.js, building solutions on our edge network, engineering the automated infrastructure that underpins it all using Terraform, as well as experience building and maintaining CDNs across Fastly and Cloudflare. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional, results-oriented teams to enhance security, performance, and developer experience across our websites and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core platform services, libraries, and tools in Node.js and TypeScript that improve developer experience and system-wide functionality
- Architect and implement solutions on our edge computing platform (e.g., Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute@Edge) to enhance performance, security, and reliability

The Engineering Challenge
Building software for machines introduces challenges that traditional software systems rarely face. Devices operate in real-world environments, networks are unreliable, and software must interact with hardware, sensors, and real-time data.
At Viam, engineers build the platform and tools that make those machines programmable, observable, and manageable at scale.
About the Team
New York City (Hybrid — 3+ days per week in office)
The Fleet Management team builds the control plane for machines running on Viam — the cloud systems and web applications that allow developers to configure devices, deploy software across fleets, and operate machines at scale.
The team owns the lifecycle of machine configuration and software running on those devices, along with the platform infrastructure that supports it — including authentication and permissions, machine logs uploaded from deployed devices, and the usage tracking behind Viam’s billing systems.
Our work sits at the intersection of product engineering and platform infrastructure. Engineers on this team build systems developers interact with directly while also evolving the backend architecture that supports machines operating in the real world.
The stack includes Golang backend services, modern web applications (Svelte / Typescript), MongoDB, and gRPC APIs.
What You'll Own
Engineers on this team own systems end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through production operation. As the number of machines and developers using Viam grows, the team is focused on evolving the architecture that allows fleets of machines to be managed reliably at scale.
As a Senior or Staff Engineer, you’ll help raise the engineering bar through architecture discussions, mentorship, and guidance on complex projects.
Examples of work in this role include:
- designing and building backend services that manage machine configuration and fleet state
- developing full-stack features across APIs, databases, and web applications used to operate machines
- building systems that deploy configuration and software updates across fleets of machines
- evolving authentication and permissions systems used across the Viam platform
- building infrastructure for storing and retrieving logs uploaded from deployed machines
- improving the systems that track machine usage and power Viam’s billing platform
- shaping architecture decisions that help the fleet platform scale as deployments grow
What You Bring
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning systems end-to-end and shipping production software.
You may have experience:
- building production systems in distributed or cloud environments
- designing APIs and backend services that operate reliably at scale
- debugging complex distributed systems or production services
- working across teams to improve shared platform capabilities, developer tooling, or user-facing systems
- making sound technical tradeoffs as systems and architecture evolve
Experience with robotics or IoT is not required.

System is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The primary responsibility for this role will be to design and deploy scalable, data-intensive pipelines and backend services that power high-impact applications advancing public benefit goals. You will work closely with our AI and engineering teams to build resilient data infrastructure and backend systems that support transparent analytics, machine learning, and open knowledge initiatives. The Senior Software Engineer will report to our Head of AI and Engineering.
As Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services that advance the company’s public benefit mission and support open data and open knowledge initiatives, ensuring reliability, scalability, and measurable societal impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate public benefit objectives and open science principles into technical requirements and system designs.
- Architect and maintain backend systems that reliably serve large user bases and high-volume data workloads, while prioritizing data transparency, accessibility, and ethical use.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design robust APIs and open data interfaces that empower external researchers, partners, and the public.
- Prototype and research new tools for improving existing data infrastructure (e.g., vector databases, distributed data systems, high-performance storage layers), with an emphasis on sharing and enabling open science.
- Be involved in code reviews, unit testing and development strategies in an agile environment
- Influence culture, recruit new engineers, and shape a rapidly growing startup
- Help shape our engineering culture, contributing to best practices and lessons you’ve learned throughout your career
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong experience with REST API development
- Expertise in writing distributed, highly available, enterprise grade services
- A deep understanding of systems design, data structures, and algorithms
- Knowledge in using, maintaining, and documenting infrastructure as code in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Strong experience with at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Typescript, or Go
- Ability to be flexible, rational and open-minded
Bonus if the candidate has:
- Design, build, and maintain intuitive, high-performance data visualization tools that make complex information accessible and actionable, supporting transparency and open knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with design, product, and subject-matter experts to translate user needs and public benefit goals into clear visual interfaces and interactive dashboards.
- Develop intuitive, performant UIs using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Svelte, Vue)
The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000 per year.
