What You’ll Do

The Role

We are currently seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join the AI Platform team that powers seamless insights and interaction through natural language and data intelligence across our AI products.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll architect, build, and operate the backend and platform systems that power AI Platform. You’ll work across service design, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, event-driven processing, observability, CI/CD, and production reliability, helping shape the technical direction of a platform that supports scalable, client-facing AI experiences.

This role requires a strong software engineering foundation combined with deep infrastructure and systems thinking. • Drive the end-to-end execution and delivery of AI-native products, moving from initial prototype to scalable production services with high velocity.

The Role

The Investor Solutions team at Addepar is growing!

Navigator is a quantitative liquidity risk projection tool that is one of the key components of Addepar's multi-product ecosystem. Brought into the Addepar family as part of an acquisition in 2021, Addepar has continued to double down on investing in this critical product, as we've scaled well beyond the multi-million ARR goal first set for this product line. Going into 2026, Navigator will be used as the foundation to build key workflows that cater to large institutions, further integrating across the Addepar ecosystem.

As we continue to scale, a need has opened up for a Fullstack Software Engineer who would bring to bear their unique expertise with the existing Engineering team, with exciting opportunities to extend the scope for this role longer term, as the product continues to push onward into future global expansion mode.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join the AI Platform team, Addepar’s next-generation AI platform that enables seamless insights and interaction through natural language and data intelligence across our AI products.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll design and scale the interactive surface of AI Platform products. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, design, and systems engineering, building a class of real-time AI experiences for users — where every frame, token, and scroll behavior matters.

You will collaborate closely with product design, backend, and AI/ML engineers to deliver smooth, trustworthy AI experiences that align with Addepar’s standards of performance, transparency, and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement complex, real-time UI features for conversational interfaces — including chat streaming, incremental rendering, and dynamic layouts.
• Build high-performance WebSocket pipelines to handle streamed deltas, retries, and backpressure gracefully.
• Optimize scrolling and rendering performance using requestAnimationFrame, virtualization, intersection observers, and non-blocking state updates.
• Implement fault-tolerant UI logic for reconnection, cancellation, offline recovery, and retry without user disruption.
• Architect state management and caching strategies to maintain consistency between local UI and backend deltas.
• Collaborate with designers to deliver accessible, responsive, and pixel-perfect interfaces across themes and viewport sizes.
• Extend Addepar’s frontend developer experience—refine the build pipeline (Vite/Webpack), test automation (Playwright, Jest), and linting/formatting standards (ESLint, Prettier).
• Instrument client-side telemetry and performance metrics to measure render latency, streaming lag, and user interaction speed.
