As the AI GTM Engineer, Growth Marketing, you’ll build and scale the technical foundation behind MaintainX’s acquisition engine. Reporting to the VP, Growth Marketing & Strategy, this is a hands-on, embedded role within the Growth Marketing team, where you will partner directly with marketers to design, build, and launch campaigns powered by automation and AI. User Researcher

ThunderFire Division of NetEase Games (Montréal) is a key part of NetEase Games, a leading game developer and publisher focusing on delivering top quality gaming experiences. We are expanding our User Research department, which houses our dedicated Insights team and an embedded Game Analytics discipline. Our core mission is to provide actionable and timely findings directly to our production teams, ensuring player-centric data drives every stage of development. This is a unique opportunity to help define this team from the ground up and make a lasting impact on a number of exciting new IPs.

We are looking for a User Researcher to join our growing Insights team. The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting on user tests to inform game design and drive impactful improvements in the player experience. This candidate will thrive collaborating with others, working with developers, and supporting user test participants through all aspects of the research process. You will need to be passionate about gaming, generating insight from player behaviour, and connecting the dots to help our developers answer nuanced and challenging questions.

The user researcher will work closely with the rest of the user research team based out of Montréal and Toronto as well as teams based in China. This is an open posting, and will be filled on an ongoing basis as needed. Candidates will be matched based on fit to our internal junior, intermediate, and senior levels as we are looking for User Researchers in different stages of their career journey.

At a senior level, the user researcher will need to be able to work cross-functionally with multi-disciplinary groups, and able to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities when it comes it NetEase’s growing catalogue of games in development. Being able to explain complex data to non-data people and doing so convincingly as part of telling a creative and data-driven story will be essential to success and helping to shed light on the best approaches to take as part of the iterative development process.

Type of Position: Permanent, full-time. This is a hybrid role based in Montréal.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with production partners of various projects based in Canada, Europe and China, identifying problems and goals, and translating them into research opportunities.
• Guide user research initiatives for games developed in China, with regular collaboration with overseas peers.
• Design user test plans using appropriate methods to meet test objectives.
• Execute user tests throughout all phases of production (including usability and appreciation tests, direct observation, card sorting, interviews, diary studies, etc.).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in user research in a game production environment or any other relevant experience or training.
  • For placement into an intermediate level of this role, experience in user research in a game production environment is required.
  • For placement into a senior level, 5+ years’ experience in user research in a game production environment is required.
• Experience in the user research test process, including study design and planning, recruiting, moderating, analysis, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

The opportunity
The Total Rewards Partner serves as an advisor to senior leaders within one of Unity’s five business functions (Grow & AI, Engineering/Product, COO, G&A, or Sales & Marketing) and is a core member of the People “Trio” alongside Talent Strategy and Talent Acquisition. In this role, you will partner closely with senior functional leaders to design, implement, and deliver Unity’s compensation and headcount planning programs. You will be trusted to operate with a high degree of autonomy and judgment, leveraging centralized rewards expertise as needed, while applying your knowledge of advanced compensation, market insights, and business acumen to ensure Unity’s programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with functional priorities.

What you'll be doing

• As part of the “Trio,” partner closely to ensure seamless communication and alignment while serving as the primary advisor to functional leaders on compensation and headcount planning, including guidance on pay programs and workforce investments.
• Participate in functional leadership meetings (staff, offsites, QBRs) as an embedded member of the Talent Leadership Trio
• Advise on compensation matters for hires, promotions, retention, reorganizations, and business transformations up to and including SVP, ensuring alignment to Unity’s philosophy and governance
• Interpret and apply job architecture, salary ranges, equity refresh frameworks, and recognition programs in a business-relevant way, leveraging centralized Compensation and Equity teams where deeper expertise is required
• Monitor market trends, pay practices, promotion velocity, and recognition patterns; surface risks and recommend course corrections to function and Total Rewards leadership
• Facilitate and administer compensation cycles and off-cycle programs, bringing business context to investment decisions and calibration discussions
• Provide structured feedback to centralized Compensation and Benefits teams on program effectiveness, edge cases, and evolving business needs
• Utilize the Compensation Analyst – Programs & Total Rewards Enablement for complex, project-based analyses and ensure efficient use of support resources
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Unity’s Total Rewards programs and relevant market developments through ongoing partnership with centralized teams

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience in compensation, rewards, or total rewards consulting, preferably in a technology or high-growth environment
• Demonstrated ability to advise business leaders on compensation strategy, pay decisions, and market trends
• Familiarity with market pricing, incentive/bonus plan administration, or equity programs; ability to learn and scale quickly into advanced areas as needed
• Strong analytical, spreadsheets, and communication skills; experience with Workday, Pave, or similar systems preferred

About the Role

As a Context Engineer at CapIntel, you'll sit at the intersection of AI infrastructure and engineering. You will be responsible for how large language models are integrated into our core platform and how our engineering team adopts agentic workflows. This is a hands-on, production-focused role, not a research one. You'll build the systems that make our AI features reliable, accurate, and scalable for the wealth management enterprises that depend on us.

You'll be embedded in development teams working closely with engineers, product managers, and domain experts across the organization to design and deliver LLM-powered capabilities that directly enhance the advisor and client experience. As one of the first practitioners in this discipline at CapIntel, you'll also help define what context engineering looks like here: setting patterns and practices the broader team can build on.

This role is ideal for someone who thinks in systems, cares about production reliability over demo-day performance, and is energized by working in a discipline that is evolving quickly.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement LLM-powered features into our core application via model APIs (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Cohere), with a focus on reliability and production-readiness
• Architect and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, connecting language models to internal knowledge bases, databases, and live data sources
• Manage context window strategy, determining what information enters the model, when, in what format, and at what level of compression to optimise for accuracy, cost, and latency
• Design and implement agentic workflows enabling the platform to handle multi-step, autonomous tasks
• Build guardrail and output validation layers that constrain model behaviour and ensure AI features act within well-defined, compliant boundaries
• Develop reusable agent primitives, prompt templates, and workflow components that other engineers can build on independently
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure context effectiveness, output quality, and agent reliability in production
• Monitor deployed AI systems for failure patterns and implement mitigation strategies, feeding learnings back into continuous improvement cycles
• Collaborate with Product, Product Engineering, Implementation, and Data teams to translate business requirements, and proof of concepts into production AI system specifications
• Act as an internal practitioner and resource helping upskill the broader engineering team on context engineering principles and agentic best practices

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years working with LLMs in a production context
• Strong experience with Python or Node and building API-integrated backend services
• Hands-on experience with an orchestration or execution framework
• Working knowledge of RAG architecture, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, pgVector, AWS OpenSearch), and semantic search
• Familiarity with context management techniques: summarisation, chunking, session splitting, and memory strategies
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong problem-solving instincts and a willingness to learn and adapt as the field evolves

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tool-integration standards
• Familiarity with LLMOps practices: tracing, observability (e.g. LangSmith, Datadog), and model versioning
• Exposure to multi-agent architectures and orchestration patterns
• Knowledge of AI output validation, context safety, and governance considerations particularly relevant in regulated industries like financial services
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure and containerised deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners
