Compétences requises

• Au moins 5 ans d’expérience en développement logiciel.
• Excellente maîtrise de React, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL et des microinterfaces.
• Expérience en développement de solutions dans divers langages de programmation ;
• Connaissances des technologies de services Web et des API REST et GraphQL.
• Vous prenez plaisir à créer des codes de calibre professionnel et à les maintenir une fois déployés. 
• À l’aise à réviser les codes d’autres ingénieurs et à participer aux concepts techniques.
• Capacité éprouvée à bâtir et livrer des solutions complètes, et ce, de A à Z.

Required:

• 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.

• Experience with performance optimization for desktop apps (memory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high-DPI support, responsiveness under load).
• Experience with localization/globalization, right-to-left UI support, internationalization, accessibility for multiple regions.
• Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring in desktop applications.
• Previous experience in shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of feature areas or modules and drive them long-term, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.

Overview

We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.

What You’ll Do

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.
• Collaborate with others on the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
• Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The ideal candidate must have extensive coordinating experience in VFX Feature Film, CG Animation, and/or Game production, with good people and self management skills. The following tasks provide a general overview of the types of activity the role holder will be expected to engage in on a day-to-day basis. As a Senior Full-stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. You’ll work across the stack, from front-end to back-end, building features that deliver real business value and contribute to the evolution of our platform. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Tech Leads to turn product ideas into reliable, performant, and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Design, implement, and maintain full-stack features that are performant, reliable, and maintainable.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in system and architecture discussions, providing input on scalability, maintainability, and technical trade-offs.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with Product Managers, Designers and Tech Leads to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
• Estimate effort, participate in planning, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient CI/CD workflows.
• Take ownership of features from conception to production monitoring and support.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Participate actively in code reviews, sharing feedback and knowledge, advocate for code quality, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve development productivity, code quality, testing efficiency, and overall delivery performance.
• Proactively identify and address opportunities to improve development processes, DevEx, and team practices.

Mentorship & Growth

• Support and mentor intermediate and junior developers through collaboration, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including experience across both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong proficiency in modern web development frameworks:
• Backend: FastAPI (or similar frameworks such as Django, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails).
• Frontend: Angular (or similar frameworks using TypeScript, such as React or Vue.js).
• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns (hybrid monolith/microservice, service-oriented, or event-driven).
• Experience building secure, scalable, and maintainable web applications.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP, or AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing and modern SDLC workflows.
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Fluent in English (French, a plus)

• Experience with data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with ESG or sustainability-related software.
