Per Scholas is seeking an IT Support instructor to become a member of our Training Team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, problem-solving individual with strong technical and instructional skills, demonstrates the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment, and maintains a strong sense of accountability. To succeed in this role, candidates must be business-minded within our mission focus and excel in instructional delivery that meets clients’ and learners’ high expectations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support instructor-led training that prepares students for entry-level to mid-level careers in IT Support. Responsibilities include daily instruction, assessment administration, attendance, one-on-one tutoring, daily evaluation and monitoring of individual student progress, addressing student violations with students in a consistent manner, and more
- Provide students with access to relevant resources for outside learning on technologies and study aids relevant to the curriculum
- Work closely with the team to identify student needs, provide the necessary support, establish individualized plans for student achievement, and participate in regular student-status meetings.
- Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with student grades, certification scores, and progress notes.
- Support and maintain the training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and other classroom materials.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US
Instructional Skill Sets
- 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
- Strong technical background; able to grasp and convey highly technical subject matter
- Ability to respond clearly to live digital conversations via a digital engagement platform such as Zoom or an in-person training environment.

- Experience in setting up and managing both wired and wireless networks, with a deep understanding of IP addressing, subnets, routing, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and securing mobile devices across various platforms, including Android and iOS.
- Experience in setting up and managing Windows Server environments and roles such as Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience in designing and implementing Group Policy to manage user environments, system settings, and software installations across an organization.
- Experience in understanding and managing server storage solutions, including RAID configurations and different disk types.
- Experience in implementing backup strategies on Windows Server and restoring data or system states when necessary.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical/industry experience).
- Strong technical aptitude (Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, etc.), project management, and organizational skills with detailed follow-through abilities.

- At least three years of experience in an IT support role.

Compensation
For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $60,000 - $65,000, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.

What You'll be Owning

As the Cybersecurity Analyst Tier 3, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the daily activities of the Security Operations Center for our federal customer. Role and Responsibilities
- Team Management: You are managing highly complex cybersecurity issue resolution while training and mentoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 Analysts. This involves hiring, training, and mentoring security analysts, engineers, and other team members. You will help ensure that each team member understands their roles, responsibilities, and goals within the SOC.
- Effectively communicate information to stakeholders of all levels.
- Incident Response: Coordinating the response to security incidents is a crucial aspect of your role. When a security incident occurs, you will help guide the team in analyzing and containing the threat, mitigating the impact, and initiating recovery procedures.
- Security Monitoring and Detection: Overseeing the continuous monitoring of security events and alerts to identify potential security breaches or threats. This includes analyzing logs, network traffic, and security tools to detect anomalous behavior and suspicious activities.
- Threat Intelligence: Keeping abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques is essential. You will be responsible for integrating threat intelligence into your SOC's processes and ensuring the team is well-informed about emerging risks.
- Incident Analysis and Reporting: The Tier 3 team will investigate and analyze security incidents to understand their root cause and potential impact. You will generate incident reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and relevant authorities.
- Security Tooling and Technology: Evaluating and implementing security technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools that enhance the SOC's capabilities.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improving SOC procedures, workflows, and playbooks to streamline incident response and enhance overall security operations.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other teams in the organization, such as IT, network operations, compliance, and legal, to ensure effective communication and coordination during security incidents.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that the SOC operates in compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and policies.
- Training and Awareness: Conducting regular security awareness training for employees to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience within a cybersecurity environment; including 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity SOC leadership role is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field; or 5+ years of commensurate work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Endpoint and network security experience required.
- Experience in a security operations center, or similar environment, and identifying indications of compromise or attack and responding to incidents.
- Robust certification credentials such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, required, additional certifications such as Network+, CEH, SANS FOR578: Cyber Threat Intelligence, SANS FOR508: Advanced Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Digital Forensics, Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User, Splunk Administrator, and Splunk SOAR administrator are preferred.
- Knowledge of MITRA attached framework.
- Vulnerability/cyber incident management framework
- Experience in SOC Tier 3, mentoring a team of cybersecurity professionals.
- Experience with digital forensics and process
- Knowledge of Splunk, Crowdstrike, tenable, forescout, Xscalar, BigFix, MS360, Encase, Fireeye, Cortex SOAR XDR, Prisma
Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Pre-sales experience is required

Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and monitor cloud infrastructure across platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

Qualifications

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is searching for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong back-end experience to support the ClinicalTrials.gov (CTG) program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This role will focus on designing and implementing scalable back-end services for a modernized, enterprise-level data submission platform that must achieve full functional parity with a legacy system while improving maintainability, reliability, and performance.

- Responsible for the development, implementation, testing, and continued maintenance of NCBI bioinformatics software and information retrieval systems
- Work with a diverse group of scientists, bioinformaticians and other developers across the center to implement efficient bioinformatics algorithms
- Learn new technologies, keep up with internal systems, and share your knowledge with the team
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience handling large amounts of data or working in a distributed computing environment
- Programming experience in a Linux environment
- Proficiency in C++
- Experience with MS SQL server and relational database design and optimization
- Fluency in some scripting languages such as BASH, csh, Perl, or Python
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of working with genetic and biological data
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript and familiarity with their associated ecosystems
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL database technology
- Experience with Docker or other containerization mechanisms

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and location. The targeted range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000.
