Virtru's Technical Training team is scaling to meet the demands of our growing Data Security Platform (DSP) ecosystem — spanning customers, partners, and internal Virtruvians. We operate on a T-shaped competency model where everyone maintains a strong generalist foundation (50-70%) while developing deep specialized excellence (30-50%) in a specific domain. As the Technical Trainer, you will report to the Director of Training and serve as the primary live delivery resource for Virtru's Data Security Platform (DSP) training programs. You'll own the facilitation of instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led (VILT) training across all audiences — partners, customers, and internal Virtruvians — with a focus split of approximately 65% on live training delivery and delivery operations, and 35% on content validation, curriculum collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Team Position and Details

As Virtru’s primary point of contact for Public Sector clients, you will lead end-to-end delivery of data-centric security solutions in highly regulated environments. You will partner closely with customers and partner stakeholders to deeply understand mission objectives, translate them into technical requirements, and drive secure deployments, integrations, and value realization. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Virtru, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvements in observability, performance, and reliability across our platform infrastructure. Your mission will be to enhance the operational excellence of our systems, making a significant impact on data privacy and security initiatives within the federal government sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and configure Virtru's Data Security Platform (DSP) in customer and partner environments
• Lead technical integration projects with government agencies to ensure successful adoption of data protection solutions
• Collaborate with customer technical teams to customize and optimize DSP implementations for specific use cases
• Provide technical guidance and support during the deployment phase of customer engagements
• Work directly with government clients to troubleshoot integration challenges and ensure project success
• Document deployment processes and create technical guides for customer teams

Requirements:

• Active U.S. TS Clearance required, w/ CI poly preferred 
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a deployment engineer or solutions engineer, with expertise in customer-facing technical implementations and system integrations in government environments.
• Proficiency in DevSecOps practices, with experience in source code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and best practices for managing cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes (k8s) and orchestration tooling such as OpenShift, Rancher, and Helm.
• Ability to excel both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the on-site customer and the support team.

Willingness to work onsite and travel to meet mission requirements.
